Since I started working in Cashmere in April I have made it a point to sample the eateries around town. One of those eateries is Weeds Cafe. I would say at this time I am a regular. I have yet to have a bad meal there. Or a bad food item. A typical purchase is some sort of sandwich or wrap and a beverage. Whether the beverage is a coffee or a smoothie, and whether the food item is a sandwich, wrap or pastry/baked good item I can count on it being made fresh, and always tasty. Lately I have been having wraps, the ham wrap in particular. Always filling and always delicious. In fact often, I only eat half the wrap because it is so filling. Just want to say thanks to the staff and owner that work there for the excellent service, treatment and food. You are definitely a worthwhile stop during my business day. read more

We are in town picking up a load from Aplets's. I took the dog for a walk in search of a coffee shop. I found this location bought espresso and a bagel walked all the way back to my truck. I dropped it as I got into my truck. I walked back to replace it. The super sweet lady didn't charge me again. Thank you. This place has a great atmosphere. read more

What a great coffee place! The floor is made of pennies (and three dimes), the staff are incredibly friendly, coffee is tasty, and we had delicious breakfast bagels freshly made to order. We went back later in the day for more coffee, and a refill (with a new cup) was still free! Definitely recommend this place. read more

We've become fans of Weeds. After many years of stopping at Anjou, their cessation of selling macaroons, and the inconsistent service caused us to search elsewhere. Cashmere Is a delightful town, with well kept bungalows. Weeds is a terrific place to stop for lunch or coffee. Great sandwiches and service. Lots of tables too if you want to work. read more

Just stopped in for coffee on our way out of town. We're from Portland and Seattle so we've had some pretty awesome cups of coffee and Weeds makes a good mocha. Wasn't the best I've ever had but I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. Good quick service. Not sure if it was the owner who checked us in but she was very nice and welcoming. The food was great when we got it. They delivered our meal to the wrong table. Then took the meal from that table and returned to the kitchen. We were there over an hour and saw family come in and made coffee without washing hands. We never saw tables cleaned. One table was used several times. read more

Stopped in here looking for a breakfast burrito and coffee and we were not disappointed. Burrito is a must have, wrapped in a soft tortilla and grilled in a sandwich press and served with some salsa, absolutely delicious!! Coffee was great also and ordered sandwiches to take with us which the lady wrapped and gave in a take away bag. Always excellent food and service. Some items are a bit overpriced but otherwise it's a really nice cafe.

The cookies alone are worth the stop at this little local cafe. Thick, buttery rich macadamia nut, white chocolate chip hit the spot at the park overlooking Wanapum Dam some miles down the road. Peanut butter cookie classic with nuts and milk. Turkey cranberry sandwich and a turkey with swiss on fresh-made whole wheat bagel were served with chips. Strawberry Italian soda tasted great, too. Weeds Cafe was nice find during a weekend drive in search of sun in eastern WA. read more

The coffee is mediocre at best. The baristas are not knowledgeable and don't prepare the drinks well. The food is alright. The owner is rude and inconsiderate. Staff isn't warm or friendly. If the owners themselves don't show the right qualities then the rest of the staff won't have a good example to follow. Even more disappointing was that the coffee they made me was not what I'd asked for and when I asked them to fix it they told me they would charge me for another drink. Like really?! I frequent this Cafe, 3 to 4 times a week... Why, you ask ? Because of the Ashley's and Owner Teri Weedman. This quaint little town, wouldn't be as quaint without Weeds Cafe. It's full of personality and characters !! By yourself, with a date, or needing some coffee and internet, this is the place.. I really enjoy the food here, but the service was not great. I was glared at and treated with hostility from the owner while I was ordering when I was nothing but polite and friendly, as I have worked in the service industry for nearly 8 years. I was even more confused because she treated every previous and following customer nicely, apparently she just has some issue with me alone. I had ordered an iced white chocolate americano and I heard her tell her barista it was a hot one from my table so I got up and politely reminded her I had bordered iced and she again glared at me and scoffed. She then told her barista "apparently she ordered iced". I was honestly nervous to go ask for a box because everything I asked for seemed like a huge inconvenience that really personally angered her for some reason. I could see the 3 people working obviously referring to me and making rude remarks in the kitchen. This place is not very big so I could even hear some of it. All in all, this service interaction left me with a bad taste in my mouth that the quality of the food couldn't quite fix. read more

I took my toddler to the Founders Day parade in Cashmere, and we happened to park by the Weeds Cafe. My son really needed to use the bathroom, so I took him in, fully expecting to buy something (there are several signs saying the restrooms are for customers only}. I was undecided on what to buy because I had a fully stocked backpack for the parade and we weren't hungry yet. The cashier and owner (I think} took my indecision as trying to get around the 'restrooms for customers only' rule and were so rude when I asked to take my son just right outside the door (in clear view} to see the fire truck as it went by (what can I say...the kiddo LIVES for emergency vehicles!}. The thing is, I AM an honest woman, and of course I would have come right back in to buy something, even though I didn't need anything and what they did have didn't work for us (I would have been all over sparkling water, for example!}. I even offered just to give them money so we wouldn't miss more of the parade. Heck, had they been kind about the whole thing, we would have come back and bought lunch there after, instead of just a $1 bottle of water we didn't need! The whole thing left an awful taste in my mouth because this was a day ALL about the community coming together and celebrating the best it had to offer, rather than making money and visitors feel unwelcome. The ladies at Weeds Cafe *could* have been generous about letting my son use the restroom as an act of kindness, or at least allowed us to step out to see the fire truck before we bought something. But instead, they insisted "rules are rules - you have to buy before you leave" and ASSumed I was looking to cheat them out of the whole $1.08 I forked over for the bottled water. We stay in Wenatchee for the entire summer, and have lots of chances to try cool restaurants in towns like Cashmere. It's too bad we won't be back to try the food at Weeds Cafe because they chose to treat us so rudely over a little boy who needed the restroom before he enjoyed the parade. That parade was fabulous, by the way, and everyone else we encountered was SO nice! read more

I parked my new car in the Weeds parking lot. The property maintenance man came in with a leaf blower to do the parking lot and he filled my car full of dirt and leaves. I was berated by the owner when I mentioned it and asked if the maintenance guy would be spoken to. I was told that I should not have left my car window down. This is true, however, the owners apparent lack of care and crass attitude makes it so neither my family nor I will be back. When I told this to the owner, she just handed my debit card back to me and said "see ya!". I asked "what part of 'I wont be back' did you not understand?? Due to the owners attitude, I am strongly considering a small claims action to pay for the detail work on my car. The coffee is good, but not that good. read more

We were in Cashmere last Sunday, and this seemed like the only breakfast option in town. It had some good reviews, and had won a couple "Best Of" awards in Cashmere, but really, what's the competition. The service was friendly and quick. The portions were not large by any means, but they did taste pretty good. I will say, my wife had a wrap which was pretty large, and she enjoyed it. I had the Scramble, and it could have been half again bigger, but the prices weren't bad. I probably would have had to pay more if it was larger. read more

Stopped in for a "quick" lunch with my friend. We both ordered salads. After a 30 minute wait on the salads, I went to check on how much longer it would take. Was told by the cashier lady they were busy and it would be 5 more min. She seemed a bit put out by my question. I looked around and only 1 table was eating. The others had just coffee drinks. 10 min later my friend went up to find out how much longer and said we needed to leave soon and wanted our money back, the salads came out immediately. 40 min to get a salad is ridiculous AND they weren't that busy. Food was good, service not good. Bad first time experience. Not going back. read more

Stopped off the highway for lunch on our way to Chelan based on the reviews and menu. Super cute local cafe with very friendly owners! Look down to see the handmade penny flooring!! Breakfast served all day and the whole family loved their breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Also had a great iced latte! We had fun playing a little trivia card game they had at every table. This was a surprise gem of a cafe found in a small town in WA! Turning off the interstate in search of coffee, Weed Cafe was hidden near the outskirts of town. Couple of excellent lattes, cookies and a grilled cheese sandwich later, we were happily satisfied and on our way.
