They have the best family-owned shop with everything you might want and things you didn't know you needed. The owners and staff are beyond humble, polite, fair, and all their prices are exactly where they should be and 10-20% cheaper than Scheel's, RifleGear, etc. I have been buying and selling firearms for 23 years, and now found my favorite. I'm a newbie to suppressors and the steps you gotta go through in order to get one, after watching many YouTube videos about the silencer shop kiosk, I was like ok let me go to some gun shops that have the kiosk and ask them questions before I decide to buy one. I went to one gun shop before I went to Wegs, which was located in Plano (which I will not name) and the gentleman I spoke to was not very helpful. He seemed like he was annoyed by my questions. And just made me feel like I was an idiot so I left, so I got on yelp and saw that Wegs guns had a kiosk and they were not too far from my apt, before I went I gave them a call. Spoke to Leo and that dude was super cool and super helpful! He literally answered all my questions without me having to ask! I was like ok this is the shop I'm gonna be going to for a very long time! He told me I can either come in and sign up on the kiosk or I can do it remotely at home the only time I'll need to come in is for my prints and to get my can etc. so I did that. After doing all that, I got my prints done and waited for the ready to certify stage. Got an email that I was ready to certify, called up Wegs and spoke to don, don was also super cool and helpful! Got the certification done and he told Me they will lmk when it's approved and then I can come in and get my can after I fill out the 4473! If yall are looking for any advice on anything you can depend on the folks at Wegs! I already told my buddies about Wegs and they will be going through Wegs from now on. Awesome folks! read more

Went in the store to ask about their possible role as FFL since I have a relative that wants to send me a gift and needs an FFL. They were extremely friendly and answered a lot of questions. I am 75 so not a huge buyer. Nonetheless, I believe his name was Shane,,,, very helpful and showed me other choices as well. These guys are great. Im an avid shooter but had never applied for a tax stamp. I have 2 other stores I have made several purchases with that were completely unhelpful with information and being willing to help with process. I came into Wegs for the first time. And a gentleman was more willing to let bug him with questions about process. I went back few days later and another gentleman had no problem with me being a first time stamper. Great service from Tyler who helped me with my transfer purchase on 9-1-23. Helped walk me through the ammo selection and cleaning kits and and cases but never once felt pressured from him to make sure I bought more. Just god information to let me make a decision. I was thinking about selling one of my firearms just to clean the safe. So I called Weg's to see if they were buy rifles/pistols. I asked the question if they were buying firearms in reference to my make and model. After making sure he knew what I had the employee said bring it up so they could give me a price. Driving across town in traffic I finally made it. Coming into the store it was a few people there due to it being the weekend. When I was greeted I was told I had to wait for a specific person to help me. After 30 min of standing there I finally got some help. The employee took my pistol to the storeroom to do some calculations. He came back and went to another employee and they talked for 5 mins then came back to me. First thing I notice he began to stall in talking about the price. That's when I knew it was about to go South. Then he asked me the dumbest question ever in trying to sell a firearm. "Would I like to SBR my Pistol?" I was like NO, but in my brain to say was EXTREMELY harsh. Then he asked me what price I was looking for? I said, "I'm just trying to see what you all will give me for it." Mind you that this pistol sells for almost $2K. With it being lightly used I knew I was not going to get anywhere near that price. With that being said he had the nerve to say $400. I completely lost my sense of reasoning as it could have gotten really bad if I had not caught myself. He mention with the ATF pistol rule coming down in May of 2023 it "might" be hard to sell. So I told him it would have been better to say that they can't buy it due to the up and coming rule infringement. 1. After I explained exactly what I had over the phone, why have me drive over 30 mins to get there just to insult me? 2. Why give a condescending price to me as if I was crackhead or drug user? So from this experience when my students and fellow shooters ask me about purchasing a firearm, Weg's Guns will NOT be one of them. I probably will mention not to buy from them to make sure they don't make that mistake. read more
