I ordered a suppressor with this store. I was charged their standard fee and paid it. I was told I could not submit my paper work to the ATF until their "NFA guy" came to the store in a few days. I waited the few days and got my paperwork filled out. The "NFA guy" told me I was all set and everything was submitted. Only problem was I never got an email notification from the AFT say my paperwork was submitted. The "NFA guy" told me I was all good and it takes a few days with their system. He told me I should get approval in about 2 weeks. Fast forward about 6 weeks (45 days), still no email or update. So I can their 15th street store where I submitted the paper work. They dismissed me and told me to talk to "Grant" from another store (their plano gun range). I frequent the gun range and have always had good experiences. I get Grant on the phone who informed me that the 15th street store never submitted my paper work and I was waiting for nothing. Grant submitted my paperwork on the spot and I got an immediate ATF notification of the submitted paperwork (a very different experience than the 15th street store's "NFA guy's" statement). less than 6 days go by and i got my approval. I go in to pick up my Can and the "NFA guy" is there. he immediately blamed Grant for the who hang up and said sometimes it happens. Never offered an apology or took responsibility. For the record, this in not my first can (my 5th) and I have a decent idea of how this works. Based on my experience with the 15th street store. I will definitely not being going back to them for cans. Also this is not a knock on their range or Grant. They have always been great and have helped me. This is my bad/first experience ive had with the 15th street store and will not be doing business with them again regarding cans or anything that is not already on hand at the store. Additionally, I enjoy the range and got there often. I have been going to the range for years since they opened. It should be noted Grant is not the "NFA guy" I was directed to when at the 15th Street store. Grant was the savior in this story and helped me get my can out of misterguns jail. read more

have mixed feelings about this place. In many ways, I really like it--they have a large selection of used firearms to choose from, which is a big plus. That said, the deals aren't always the best. I understand that buying used is always a bit of a gamble, but in my experience, that gamble hasn't always paid off here. I've purchased a few used pistols, and unfortunately every one of them needed some work to be fully functional. One of them was in very poor condition and required major gunsmith work that ended up costing nearly half of what I originally paid for the pistol. I wish they would price used firearms more realistically when they know work will be needed, or at least have an in-house inspection and function test--ideally including test firing--before selling a used pistol at top dollar. Selling a firearm that can't be used without significant repairs is frustrating for the buyer. Overall, I like the shop and want to support it, but more thorough checks and fairer pricing on used firearms would go a long way. read more

I visited Mister Guns because I wanted to purchase a suppressor and a home defense handgun. I have been shooting for decades and have lots of experience with firearms and firearms dealers. I read many reviews here and researched their offerings on their website before visiting. It was a great visit. For all the reviews that mention inattentive staff, that must have been old or an off day. There were 4 staff members helping customers the entire time I was there. They were busy, but no one had to wait very long. Sean helped me and answered a lot of questions and was extremely knowledgeable and not at all acting like a "salesman". When my wife mentioned that she didn't understand the conversation, he explained the terms we were using in a friendly non-patronizing manner. They made the entire experience one of my best "gun store" visits. I will definitely be back. The store is on the smaller side but has a lot of guns and other merchandise. It was not overly crowded or difficult to navigate around other customers. I did end up purchasing a firearm and suppressor and they made the process as simple as possible. Went into Mister Guns today to sell three firearms (DDM4V7 Pro, Sig P320 Wilson Combat edition, and custom Icarus Precision Sig P365 Tac Ops). I was met by Daniel who was extremely kind and welcoming. He shared that they look to target about 60% of the going market rate for firearms. I acknowledged that and shared a range i was looking for. Daniel then proceeded to take an hour and apparently text/call to the owner/manager. My son and I kindly waited and browsed and Daniel finally came over and said that they weren't interested. I asked if they have any offer or price at all and he apologized and said no. Now i totally understand that gun shops have to make money. What i don't understand is to do the research of all the guns for sale and have a customer wait an hour to only say you're not interested. Offer a price that works for you, even if it's a lowball price. I'm blown away that they wouldnt even offer a price after all of that. Complete waste of our time! I would NOT recommend attempting to sell or trade firearms here. They will waste your time saying they'll buy but won't actually offer anything. Business model makes zero sense lol. UPDATE: Owner gave me a call and asked to understand the situation. Owner took 100% ownership and accountability and apologized. I do have to say after talking with the owner that he is passionate about his business and staff and that my situation today was not at all what he intends for his customers. It was my first time buying a gun and to be honest, I wasn't planning on purchasing a gun when I first walked in, I more so wanted to window shop and get an idea of what I would like to purchase. Second review/update after another transfer visit with more time on my hands. I've picked up 2 FFL transfers via Mister Guns over a couple months. Exceptionally smooth experience both times. Everyone I've met behind the counter has been friendly and approachable. Very easy, unpretentious and laid back store. Both times they called me to let me know my transfer was ready for pickup promptly within a only couple hours of getting it themselves. They're open until 6 weekdays and they have both Saturday and Sunday hours making it convenient to get in there around work schedules. I arrived to get my second transfer discovering my wife had my drivers license. Meaning I'd have to return later. The fella behind the counter didn't seem put out or bothered, in fact he joked around making me feel less embarrassed. They clearly know their business. My transfers were made easy and hassle free. While there I got to chat with them about several things as well as overhearing them talk to other customers. I'm impressed with their knowledge and passion surrounding the products and services they offer. It's obvious they enjoy what they do. Not the typical Mr. Grumpy you often find behind the counter at these places. One thing that really impressed me was their willingness and ability to multitask. They can offer you the individual attention you'll want while able to provide the same for other customers. It's a shockingly tiny storefront. In fact, should you need to go around someone, there's no passing lane. You'll both have to squeeze by one another. If you're a big fella like me, you might just have to wait it out. Because they're so small, they don't have a very big supply of products. But they do seem to have the basic necessities covered. I came in on a Saturday several months ago asking to see if I can get this shop to order a Colt Python for me. As I waited in line for one of the four supposedly associates to assist me, I observed that they were deeply involved in a conversation with each other as if they were trying to one-up one another on their knowledge about cars. This range is absolutely amazing! I brought along my younger brother and my mom's boyfriend. We're all from CA but I recently moved here a year and a half ago so I wanted to show them the Texas Gun Fun you can get into out here. Anyway, the guys working here are super awesome, knowledgeable, friendly as all hell and SAFE! The check in process was super smooth, they let us pick what we wanted to shoot, informed us on what guns were more fun and which were more practical in ownership. We got in to the lanes and one gentleman stood there to ensure we knew what we were doing. We had all shot before so once we demonstrated our safe handling, he notified us he'd be in the lobby in the event of any questions/concerns. We shot and had a great time. The ventilation in the lanes was top notch cause the smell of gun powder really didn't linger all that much. Once we finished, they talked with us about Home Defense options as well as Carry options. They let us hold any guns we asked to hold and even let us hold their M249!! These guys are awesome and deserve top praises! As a plus, it's super affordable! We rented an HK VP9, HK USP, Mk18 AR, and a Benelli M4. All that with 150 rounds of 9mm, 60 rounds of 556, 15 shells for the Benelli, and Eye/Ear Protection for 3, it all came out to $187. I had to go to multiple emails to get them to respond before making the online purchase. They did not notify me when the gun arrived. Went here for the first time to purchase a gun for concealed carry. The 2 staff members I interacted with were very helpful. Only downside is that this place is small. Like smaller than comic book shop or sports memorabilia small. It's very narrow and people have to step out of the lane for you to get through because they also have boxes and merch in the middle. Also there's only one person working the counter at a time. So if you see 2+ customers already in there then get ready to wait. Fantastic company and wish I found them earlier! I have been buying weapons and supplies for 40 years and I found a shotgun to purchase from them on line last month. The weapon had a flaw on the stock and they offered me a big discount if I wanted that gun, a refund if I did not or they would get me a replacement gun from the manufacturer. In addition to offering me the best price that I could find on line, but Mister Guns got me a replacement weapon in two weeks and as a standard practice no delivery fee was charged!
