I picked up three items: cherries, bananas, and tangerines. Not a single human at a register, so, self checkout. Scanned the cherries, YOU NEED ASSISTANCE TO PURCHASE THIS ITEM!! I'd have chosen to go to a register with a PERSON, but wasn't given that option, now I have to WAIT FOR ONE! They save money by running on a skeleton crew, causing great inconvenience to their customers, when the staffing costs they SHOULD cut are the CEO's salary and that of any upper level administration that voted for a incompetent (insert explative) that caused the grocery costs to increase in the first place! They supported that TRASH, and THEY should pay the price! The most important remark I can add to shoppers about Weis is their employees should work in pet stores. They are incompetent and arrogant when asked for their help. This is more important than a couple of pennies cheaper than their competition. The store in Doylestown is the worst. I purchased a loaf of bread that i had to throw out. Always out of stock on something and when in stock it's not fit to sell to us. I asked for an assistant store manager to solve a problem I had and was helped by an arrogant farm worker. This store is always nice and clean. But had a bad experience with self service check out . Had a 50 pound bag of rock salt. Was having trouble scanning it . Star the employee who was on her I phone at the time got very upset because I disturbed her because she had to correct the machine and scan it her self . I'm not exactly sure about this employees name, I'm pretty sure it was Allie or Ellie, but this young women was very rude today to my husband and I. We were at the self checkout and we needed help with the machine, so we called her over for help. She didn't fully help us with what we needed and just walked away and went on her phone. We called her over a second time and she started yelling and claimed that she had other customers to help, meanwhile she had just been on her phone the whole time. She had also declined to help other people at the self checkout. She was very rude and conceited. We are not happy with this service. read more

Generally, I like the Weis Market in Huntingdon Valley. But, I DISLIKE that they have cut back on the number of checkers. I was there today and there was only one checker. There was a long line, and the shopping carts of the people waiting on the line were filled. I do not mind self-checkout when I have a handful of things. But I do dislike it when I have a mid-size cart of food. There are other food stores close by. Unless Weiss provides better customer service by having a sufficient number of checkers, I will do my major food shopping elsewhere, and only use Weiss when I have a handful of food to checkout. read more

Two of my cousins work as cashiers at this supermarket. My Nana and I were in the area and decided to pick up a few items. The grocery store looks much bigger once you walk inside. My Nana and I loved how wide the aisles are, it felt very spacious. I noticed that they had a good variety of products, more than I would typically see at my local Giant. We also loved the bakery section! The only downside I had in my experience was checking out. We went early in the morning on a Saturday. Thankfully there were not a lot of people and it was not crowded, so there was only one or two cashiers open. The young male cashier with glasses did not say hello (after I said hello first). He also did not offer to provide us with a store card to receive a discount. (My Nana said that we did not have one, so we did not get the savings). I asked both of my cousins if the store policy prohibits you from using a generic store card when customers do not have their own, and they said you are definitely able to use a generic card. This gentleman did not offer it to us, so we had to pay more unfortunately. In addition, the set up of the bagging area is a little weird. Some of the register stations have a break between the scanner and then the table to bag your items. I was going to offer to bag, but was thrown off by the set up. Overall, I had a pretty good experience, I just think the cashiers need to try harder at being customer service oriented. I know that now a days young folks do not seem to care about customer service (as there are no ramifications for them if they get let go/fired), but I worked in the grocery store industry as a cashier for two years in High School and our entire Team was always customer centric. As a side note: My cousin informed me that twice, a gentleman defecated on the floor (either in the aisles or in the bathroom) and one of the managers asked a CASHIER to handle it..... I would assume that handling that is a biohazard and cashiers do not have proper training on how to handle that. Hence why they should have janitors who are properly trained. read more

I like this store, except for one thing, and it's a big thing. I always have to double check my register tape before leaving the store. They always miss several sale discounts that were supposed to be applied. We were overcharged almost $20 on a $200 purchase today and had to go back. After getting home, we discovered yet another overcharge of $2 on a sale item. read more

Because of the pandemic and lockdown I started to order the groceries for my wife and I online. This Weis market is the closest store to me, (about 1.5 miles). Online ordering is easy and efficient. The service charge is only $10.00. Today, January 27, 2022 there was some sort of glitch. My order went to their new store in Warminster. I only got 10 of the 43 things I ordered. I called the closest Weis. They tracked down the order. It was delivered by an assistant manager. He gave me a FIFTY DOLLAR gift card, a tray of gourmet fudge and 4 blue berry muffins for my trouble. I really like this store, but it has one bad shortcoming, the self serve checkout, almost every time I go there, I practcally need customer service to stand next to me, so it could correct the constant, unit weight message, today the woman said, dont pack your bags, put everything down, than pack the bags. Pros: This location sells beer store where one can purchase six packs, and its prices are significantly lower than the Beer Store and somewhat lower than Wegman's. The store is clean and well-lighted, and the associates are pleasant and helpful. Cons: Weis's prices are higher than Giant's prices. The prepared foods are terrible and the produce quality is unpredictable and inconsistent. Weis seems to have a wider selection of products than a typical grocery store but fewer available units of each, which becomes a problem when Weis is running a special on an item. Not a bad place to shop in a pinch but not a first choice. read more

been going here for years - a very unhappy staff but yesterday i was descended upon by a " customer service" person who attacked me like i was a criminal for buying musinex cough drops. 2 women came rooting through my bags treating me like a criminal and carrying on about the cough drops. the screen said " age restriction" but since im in my 70's it should not have been a problem then this enormous "woman" screamed at me and wouldn't let me finish my check out $100 worth of items. nevwer saw her before - must be a new employee at that store taking her "control" and "power" of her position to ridiculous extents - many other stores and will never go here again - crazy! Truly the nicest, most accommodating supermarket ever! Their gas rewards program is wonderful and the store is always well maintained and spotless. They have a great selection of products. The prepared food staff is wonderful when ordering for an occasion - extremely helpful and even offered quantity discounts. The same with the bakery! The only supermarket I go to. This is one of the filthiest supermarkets in the state of Pennsylvania. Between the mold growing in the dairy cases and the nauseating scent of rotting seafood that permeates all the way to the bakery, you have to wonder how much they bribed the assigned health inspector. As a food market I have to agree with Von M. Only two stars. They are pricey especially the deli, BJ's is 50% cheaper. Their produce is very expensive. They do offer some decent sales but overall this is not where you want to shop for a big food order. Here's where they offer a good value. Their soup is very good, Served hot (3 choices) or take a large one quart cold container home. The salad bar sucks, don't waste your time. Giant is much better. The best value is their $4.99 hoagie, not the one already made in the deli case. The employees are very accommodating, just tell them what you want. They will pack it with double meat, cheese, scoop the roll and add any extras you want. Go to Slacks or Primos and the price doubles. Even worse is Ben & Irv's. Recently ordered a Tuna Hoagie to go, a whopping $12.00!! Won't make that mistake again. Give Weis a try for a hoagie, you won't be disappointed. read more

I have tried to like this store since it opened, but I really can't. The prices are higher than any other food store in the area, and most items on sale-read the tiny print "must buy 3 or 6". Cold cuts are always expensive and not cut right, too thick. The food bar has been hit or miss since they opened, mostly miss. Now Weis raised the price to $6.00 a container, not by the weight. Another price hike on below par food. Produce is always high, never buy it there. All in all, a poor shopping experience, which I am now ending. read more
