Staff wasn't helpful when I asked where I could find something. They should know their products/layout more than me, and they were trying to describe it to me instead of walking ten feet to show me which would've taken less time. I'm so tired of having to check out the groceries myself when there's staff just standing around... and when the system acts up, they have to come and help me anyways. Would just be so much easier and way more convenient if they did it. Not to mention when the girl did help me, she was rude about it. Like I know anything about the system I'm already having to pay way more in groceries than ever before, and now I have to do the job of those who work there?? Plus, the bathroom was smelly and gross! Don't go to the beer cafe and try to eat. Lil flys swarm around you. Makes you put your food away..... staff have been told 3x in two months. Addressed this issue with a manager and the worker responsible who was extremely large and struggled to just walk was instructed to address the issue.... I felt bad for her. BECAUSE; I had said something to two other employees over two months. The lil Spanish girl that had so much perfume on I struggled to breathe; was too busy flirting with a man in the cafe...... This store is not laid out like other Weis markets and I struggled to find what I wanted to purchase. read more

Best Weis in the area as far as I'm concerned. This chain tends to have older, less modern stores but this one is more current. It's the largest Weis in the area and features a large floral dept and prepared food area, more than other locations, as well as a pharmacy and customer service offering more services. They also have a generous ethnic food selection including less common fresh produce. Additionally they have a beer mart with it's own register. This location is convenient and well lit at night. Several times over the years I've preordered deviled eggs for parties I was hosting. While it was expensive (about $1 per egg) it was worth it and a time saver over making them at home which is labor intensive. If you're interested you must preorder a few days in advance at the deli. As far as I know this Weis is the only one to offer them. The downfall for me is the layout. It's arranged differently from other locations and it always takes me longer to find items. The rotisserie chicken is also overpriced and the salad bar is weak. DO get their loyalty card - it saves you money weekly. DO check your mailbox as they also have coupon flyers they send out from time to time. DON'T expect to rush in/out unless you are very familiar with their layout. read more

Good employees, clean store, great selection of products, and low prices. There are two employees that are especially good and they are Eric who is a cashier and a young girl who has blond hair. No idea of her name but she worked in the front of the store near the self checkout lanes. She smiled at me and asked "are you in need of help" and I said no thanks and then I asked her "Are there any aisles that see potato chips" and she smiled and said yeah, and she told me the location. I saw Eric on Saturday evening November 4th and I saw the girl on Friday evening November 3rd. read more

My mom and I were at the Red Rose Commons Weis Market on February 18,2022 and were very impressed with the store.It was a clean store and had items nobody else has.The meat is fresh, affordable, and delicious. It is a refreshing change to have clerks ring up your order instead of having to use a self serve machine for weekly groceries. Dawn and Jubilee are excellent clerks. Absolutely worst experience I've ever had regarding mailing something. The sad thing is that the employees and Ray, one the managers of this place, just don't care about the reviews so he'll never see this. I ship packages every other day with my job and always use USPS. The first and only time I've used this fraction of a post office I have a major problem. I shipped a package priority (paid $10) and when I follow the tracking number is doesn't register in the system -like it never happened. The Hispanic lady that helped me was nice but more interested in talking to her co-workers about bs than helping me. My client told me he never received the package and this makes me look bad. I called the store and a woman answered and I don't think she knew how to use her ear piece because she was breathing so hard into the phone. Every time she said something I heard a loud staticky breath. I asked to talked to a manager and got ray, and of course he diverted responsibility. I realized I would get nowhere with the conversation so I hung up. Now I have to do a refund for my client and am out the $10 bucks I spent. But hey, it's my fault for trusting a rinky-dink fraction of a usps and not going to a real post office. Lesson learned. I won't be shopping at this store and I'm sure the managers don't give a crap about how I was treated or any inconvenience I suffered. So screw me, right? Right. So yourself a favor and buy pickles from this store, but don't use their usps. read more

It has been observed that there is inconsistent treatment of employees from management. There appears to be limited encouragement and recognition for a strong work ethic, dedication and commitment to the job. The consistent expression from management is that of criticism and a negative attitude. There is a lack of guidance, direction and training with limited communication of expectations for employees. Management has been observed in the presence of customers to speak to employees in a disrespectful manner, degrading, and essentially humiliating them. It is this observers recommendation that administration conduct an audit of the employees to provide further information pertaining to the management team in an effort to provide better service for the employees and therefore, better service to customers. Observing such actions is cause to shop another store. read more

All in all I really like Weis. This particular one is fairly big. Its a pretty clean store. They have some decent sales sometimes. They have a beer cafe with a pretty good variety of beer and an ok selection of wine. The downside is it's hard to find stuff in this store. Also the employees are miserable. The cashier I had was just chucking my stuff. She threw my milk so hard I thought it was going to break. We were her last customers because she was going on her break. So if you don't mind rude employees, this isn't the first one I have encountered here then this place is for you. read more

When I lived near Millersville, I went here for all of my grocery needs. A tthe time I hated it and considered it a dump. Now I wish I had a Weis. The prices were SO much cheaper than anything I have here in Philly. But in context of Lancaster living it's the basic grocery. Average selection, average prices, crummy staff, crummier patrons. Kinda run down. For a while I went to Giant on Columbia Ave but that ended up stopping as Weis was literally a 2 minute drive for me. read more

Nice store, nice produce selection, nice salad bar and lunch selection. They also have a beer cafe, which is great. The post office is also convenient. On the downside, they also have tables outside to eat lunch, but unfortunately all of the employees sit there on their break and smoke, so you get inundated with cigarette smoke. Maybe they need a separate area for the employees to smoke on break. read more

This store has a lot to offer, but has some drawbacks earning it 3 stars. If I could give 3.5 I would, but its not quite 4 either. This is one of Weis markets newer stores and is quite spacious and has lots of stuff you cant find at the other weis stores. They have quite a few options for the lunch crowd including pizza, sandwiches and a salad and olive bar. They do have 3 self check out lanes, and a post office inside. On the negative side of those things (both of which i find really convienient), there isnt always someone in the post office, so you might have to wait around until someone turns up. The self check out lanes have the same problem. Not everything scans into the system, so you have to wait for someone. Many times Ive seen the employees standing around talking instead of helping the people waiting for help. This has included the manager. Also, on weekend mornings there is one regular lane open and no self check outs open. But as I said, I find lots of things other stores dont have, and not only do I shop here, I will go there to get some lunch. Weis is in red rose commons just off of rt 30 and fruitville pike. Have become increasingly dissatisfied with this store. Have a very hostile pricing policy to single person households or people who shop in the European manner. For example $0.99 for a bunch of celery IF YOU BUY TWO ALL OTHERS $1.99. I generally can not use a single bunch before it goes bad so I am not going to pay double the price. This Weis is a bit unorganized right now as it looks like they are moving everything around. I'm not really sure what they are doing here but everything is scattered, empty shelves, ect. I'm a big fan of their salad bar though. read more

I live closer to a Giant than I do Weis, but choose to shop at Weis. Or, I should say chose to shop at Weis. Customer Service is the worst I have seen in any store. Management has an "I do not care" attitude. On a Saturday afternoon we were there, two lines open for full groceries. When I said something I was told that some people called in sick, yet at the Service desk there were at least 5 people standing around talking. Another evening I was there, one line open for full groceries - there were 4 to 5 people with full carts. I went to Express (15 items or less), I had slightly more than 15 items. Said something to cashier, a manager was standing there. I said with all the competition (Giant, Stauffers, etc and Whole Foods going in right across the street and a Wegman's not too far away), they had better step it up. Manager reply was that I could shop where I choose. June 2, 2016 in the evening. Nice way to retain customers. On another note - LOVE the pharmacy staff. read more
