This Review is long overdue, but I'm glad I can finally get around to writing this. To make a long story short, Devin assisted me with a wrongly accused DV case that should have never occurred due to my now previous marriage. I am not the type of person who can deal with these situations very well and was searching everywhere for an attorney who I can trust, but also get the results I needed. I asked Devin for a consultation regarding my child custody and visitation case. After some back and forth trying to set up a time to meet, Devin came out to my home in Los Angeles- from having spent the day at court in Orange County- after my last class (8pm). 3 three years of having to deal with the courts in pro per while the mother who is an alcoholic with a mental disorder and unfortunately most importantly to the court, has money to retain a lawyer who has littigated me into a spin cycle of hearings where we don't discuss real concerns that should be apparent simply by the actual fact that the court itself has found her to be an alcoholic and a court ordered psychological testing result also confirmed the presence of a mood disorder. During this time I've suffered seeing my daughter display all the signs of abuse or neglect while her mother files motions that make it almost impossible for me to either file my own motions or properly submit my concerns to the court as I'm stuck defending baseless and false accusations. Those run on sentences is the best I can do to summarize my frustration with the courts and the many lawyers I've had to contact for advice and guidance. Simply put, in all that time I've had to talk to a lot of lawyers. It's been my experience that if you ask a lawyer ten direct questions, you're simply not going to get ten direct answers. It's also been my experience that just like the courts, it is possible to have a very long a drawn out conversation with a lawyer in which absolutely nothing has been achieved. I can't say Devin answers every question directly however, I can say he's a lawyer and that seems to be something lawyers need to be good at. I also can say that I've left every conversation not just feeling something was achieved but also having actually received tangible advise and/or guidance I can use. Family court matters get emotional. Devin has done a good job of respecting my feelings and letting me go off on a tangent which is not legally relevant but also appropriately has gotten the conversation back on track. What has impressed me is his ability to listen to you enough to truly understand you and your concerns enough to represent you. What amazes me is ability to tell you the actual legal options you have to try to express those concerns to the court and actually give his opinion as to what he thinks of those options and the possible outcomes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS "ATTORNEY" I hired Devin Weisberg and HE MISSED COURT DATES, never called me on the phone EXCEPT FROM THE FREEWAY to tell me he's running late, and he even MISSED A VERY CRUCIAL COURT DATE ALTOGETHER!!! On this particular court date, the judge gave us a second change by calling my case again a couple hours later, AND HE STILL MISSED IT!!! When he finally got to court, he told me he would give me a 1,000 dollar credit to "make it up to me" - HE MADE MY CASE EVEN WORSE THAN WHEN HE GOT IT. Very IRRESPONSIBLE PERSON. He returned my emails WEEKS later. And, when he was actually in a court hearing, HE WAS ALWAYS QUIET, SILENT; while the other party's attorney talked and talked and talked, and "my attorney" SAID NOTHING!!
