I bought a High performance electric Porsche Taycan that had serious unresolved recurring issues such as : high voltage battery fire recall , brake issues, charging issues, computerized car screens going blank with the result of the car shutting down while driving. The car was beautiful and super fast, but unfortunately the recall for the battery fire module for 9 months was still unresolved by the manufacturer. The car was new but it spent more time at the dealership than expected. The dealership did what they could but Porsche unfortunately manufactured an electric car that had too many dangerous flaws. I was recommended to get a lemon lawyer and since the car was purchased in LA county, I found American Lemon Law to be the best fit firm to deal with Porsche. I had Daniel Lopez as the initial contact. He was very informative and organized getting my paperwork, questions and important documents. I was then assigned to a sharp attorney ; Caitlyn Scott. She is very experienced and got Porsche to respond quickly. I really enjoyed working with her. She is extremely knowledgeable about problems EVs are currently having and dangers of their high voltage battery. The process is long but she was able to get things going in the right direction. Last but not least is Alejandra Pastor. Porsche initially dragged their feet but Alejandra knows the court and law system and got the appointments, car inspections and payments taken care of. Alejandra has alot of personality and is quite helpful. The firm gets a percentage of the settlement and the fees payed by Porsche. The battery fire issue and car shutting down twice made me want to settle and not keep the car. When I received mail from Porsche advising me to not charge the car above a certain percentage for high voltage fire risk, I did not want to not drag things any longer. I've been going through the lemon law process for about two years now. Overall, I would give them 4 stars. Toward the end, when I was close to receiving a settlement, I had a disagreement with my power of attorney (POA) and decided to change it. I specifically requested that the settlement amount not be sent to my previous POA. While they removed the phone number, their system did not remove the email address. As a result, some of my personal information was still sent out. I understand mistakes happen, but something like this shouldn't occur, as it's a breach of privacy. That said, they did take accountability for the error and have been working to improve processes and ensure greater care with client documentation moving forward. Being active duty military, much of this process has taken place while I've been overseas. My main lawyer, Alejandra, has stepped in and taken over my case, making the process smoother and much more manageable. American Lemon Law Group LLP made things right. Ford changed the design on the classic oil drain plug in the Eco boost engines, the previous design worked great for 100 years! Regardless of how it happened the oil drained out of my engine slowly while driving and parking. I had my truck towed to the dealership and while doing a diagnostic the engine seized. Ford covered it and replaced the engine under warranty. However, the work took over two and a half months. Upon receiving the truck back it was getting 30-40% less fuel mileage. That's when American Lemon Law Group stepped in. They made me aware that the lemon law says after 30 days the dealer was supposed to offer me a permanent new truck as a replacement. The entire process was simple. I provided my sales contract and service receipts. They provided me with a dedicated text number to correspond with. I then chose to have the truck repaired and accepted a cash settlement. They were able to settle the lawsuit in 7-8 months.
