Should have looked at online reviews before I came in. I received a recommendation. I am currently going through a divorce and bankruptcy and was told by my bankruptcy attorney to have any jewelry looked at. I have a handful of watches that I just wanted batteries put in, a Skaagen and Movado watch that I wanted batteries, cleaned also fully appraised because of their value, a couple expensive pocket watches, and some random jewelry that I received from my grandfather. My grandparents didn't buy cheap jewelry over the years. So I wanted someone to take a look and give me an idea of value for my lawyers and for insurance. I was talking to a lovely lady who told me the price of their services and asked if I could leave everything and they would take care of it and determine what was worth anything and what is just sentimental and would take care of the watches. Then Scott Rettmer stepped in and proceeded to make me feel like crap for wasting their time. Told me that he wouldn't buy any of my items and I was just wasting their time. I was floored. I was willing to spend my money for their services and was happy to be patient, and then Scott stepped in and lost a good customer. I have a friend who is a jeweler in Wray, CO and, despite them being 2 1/2 hours away, I will gladly take my business there where they care about their customers! read more

I can't say enough nice things about Weiss Jewelers. They only just reopened on Monday after being closed for COVID; I took my wedding ring in on Wednesday afternoon. It had lost a diamond. By Friday morning, Weiss Jewelers had sourced an identical tiny, pear-shaped diamond, installed it, and cleaned my ring to perfection -- for less than half the price they'd quoted me. I went to get a watch resized that I purchased online. They charged me $5 which I thought was a deal! When I asked the jeweler if they thought I had gotten a good deal he took the extra time to take the back off my watch and explain the value of my watch to me. They certainly went above and beyond. I will forever be thankful for the work that they did on my wedding ring. While pregnant with my fourth child I had to have my ring cut off due to swelling. I was devastated. At another repair shop we had been given an estimate on the repairs that would have been close to the original price of the ring. I brought it into Weiss nervous but hopeful. This place is really great. It's a father-son-owned business, and Scott and his son Alex are very kind and knowledgeable and not at all pushy. We brought in a 70-year-old family heirloom ring to be resized and they notified us of some structural issues that had happened to the ring over the many decades it had been in the family. They didn't push us to have those fixed, but wanted to let us know, just to give us the option to prevent further wear and tear. We went ahead with the repairs, which were very reasonably priced, and just to be nice they did a little extra cleaning up of the ring for free. Alex was great about explaining the differences in softness or the hardness of different types of stones for occasional wear or daily. This place is the best! I have a Rolex watch that has given me a little trouble after owning it for 4 years. In December 2013 the band wasn't setting right. I took it in right before Christmas. They were super busy with people shopping for the holiday. They looked at it on the spot and were able to adjust a pin that had come loose. No charge! February 2014 watch stopped running at times. Afraid it was going to be a costly repair since it's a Rolex. Watch repairman looked at it and there was a screw loose. Fixed it and it only cost $25. Again super price for an expensive watch. I would so go back into this business for any repairs and purchases. Great customer service and very nice! read more

DO NOT use their watch repair service.... There is not enough room here to tell the whole story but after waiting 5 weeks the first time and paying for their servce. The watch stopped again.. It has now been 6 weeks and not so much as a call. When I contacted them I get a response "the watch repairman is watching to make sure it keeps the right time" Yeah right... THis is the poorest example of customer service I have experienced in a long time.. GO ANYWHERE ELSE it has to be better!. read more

After meeting with Scott the manager and going over what could be done, my ring was taken apart again, and this time welded instead of soldered. It looks a million times better. I highly recommend Weiss jewelers for ring re-sizing and amazing customer service. I was nervous to bring my most valuable and meaningful possession to a jeweler in Greeley, but a colleague recommended Weiss. I want to note that I called a place in Ft Collins first and was told it would be at least a 3-week turnaround and prices started at $140. I decided on Weiss because I didn't want to wait that long and it's a more convenient location for me. When I dropped off the ring the sales associate was very kind, professional, and made sure the ring would be sized correctly. It was at least $35 less than the place in Ft. Collins, and, to my amazement, was ready the next day! (They told me it would be a 1 week turnaround.) The ring fits great and is super sparkly again! I arrived 15 minutes before close to pick it up and the same associate offered to clean my wedding band too, to match my sparkly ring! She also said to come in anytime to have them cleaned. So friendly! Looked like they had some nice pieces for sale, too. I'll definitely return when I'm in the market for something nice, and of course for all my jewelry repair! read more

I am currently in the market for a graduation gift for my niece, that means I am going to spend money SOMEWHERE, I decided Pandora was a good option, so I spent time researching online, I came across Weiss Jewelers in Greeley and clicked on the monthly special section of the website, I read the monthly special was spend $100 on charms and get the bracelet free, GREAT, I didn't read any other print. I came into the store and was greeted by a woman, whom never introduced herself, and told her I came because of the special, she said " NOPE that is over" I said well I saw it today on your website, bla bla bla she went on to treat me like a common idiot. Therefore said well I feel it should be honored since its on your site, she then said well thats up to the owner, and without another word, turned and left, about 8 mins later returned with a sheet of paper, a printout of the web page stating the promotion was only good in March, (keeping in mind this is May 22nd). and said nothing further. Now here is the SHAME on you, Ok I understand the promotion is over, I could have accepted that if maybe the customer service had gone something like this, : " no I am sorry that promotion ended, however....." If you weren't so worried about proving me wrong and would have still kept in mind that I am GOING TO SPEND MONEY ON A GRADUATION GIFT you could have earned my business, instead I was treated rudely, and disregarded. Maybe my business doesn't matter to you, that is fine, but with your continually empty parking lot I would become increasingly concerned about the manner that my staff was treating potential customers read more

Repairs: Don't bother. Replaced a platinum diamond setting with "white gold." Would not replace the gold setting back to a platinum setting for the difference in price. When a prong on the white gold broke later on, they merely soldered a prong back on with a huge, ugly and misshapen blob of metal. One day later another prong broke. Being cheap and saving a buck has cost them a customer. Don't they know how easy it is to go to Ft. Collins or Denver for better service? read more
