This place was clean, and the ambience was very nice. The people were courteous and kind. However, I came in with my boyfriend and we both got classic pedicures. He of course got no polish, but I decided to do shellac with my classic pedicure. After my toenails were clipped, filed, and my cuticles or trimmed and heels were briefly scrubbed, they painted the gel on my toes. After painting, I was waiting for the the rest of the pedicure... i.e. dead skin scrub, massage, and hot towel. I only got lotion applied. There was no massage or scrub. After spending $114 after tip I am super disappointed! They only spent 13 minutes on my boyfriend's pedicure and about 20 on mine. I did not like the experience I had here today. The woman who works here was sloppy with the polish and when I pointed it out she just argued with me and tried to blame it on me. She refused to fix it. The man who also works here was super rude and chimed in arguing and actually handed me a bottle of nail polish remover and told me to fix it myself. I actually had to refuse to pay to finally get them to fix it. They do have a clean shop but their attitude toward their customers stinks. Came in from out of state for the weekend and on a whim decided to see about getting a mani and pedi. Being an elite yelpper I of course got on yelp to find a place to go! I called and they were able to get me in at 4:15p did a Deluxe pedicure and it was lovely she took her time and I almost fell asleep it felt so good. I did the dip powder manicure and it turned out beautiful. He did a great job on shaping my nails the way I wanted and checking to make sure I was happy with them before I left. I haven't had my nails done in years. This is a treat for me, for sure. I came in and showed a photo and asked if they could do it. He said yes and to wait 5 minutes. Long story short, they didn't have the base color I wanted, so I picked another that he had to keep shaking up (giving a weak uneven coat) then after he finished my nails he tells me he doesn't have the gold I wanted to put on the tips. I get pink and white acrylic (American) and they have never looked better. I often take my granddaughters for a manicure and the rates are quite reasonable. The salon is very modern and beautiful. They are always telling clients to wash their hands / sanitize before any treatment. The staff is always wearing masks even when there wasn't a mandate. What I love about this place is they take care not to hurt your cuticles, and the technicians (those I have been fortunate enough to be paired with) really take their time. Tip! Just stoped by to see if they could fix two nail extensions that had fallen off (I got them done at a different place) but they wouldn't do it claiming that they wouldn't be able to match the color correctly. I've gotten my nails done enough to know that it wouldn't be 100% and with a little creativity and mixing of colors they would have done ok. Instead they chose to say they couldn't do it. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I now live in San Francisco but this place is wonderful and I had such a phenomenal experience that I plan on returning as often as a I can since I visit Colorado frequently (my parents live out here). I not only want to have a great technician work on my nails but I think ambiance is important as well. I'll start off by saying the place is beautiful. From the floor to the ceiling to the overall decor it's modern and incredibly clean. They have a fantastic line of OPI and other products as well. To be honest, I go get pedicures not so much to get my toenails painted (I can easily paint them myself) but for the massage and exfoliation. The massage was by far THE best I've had in years from any nail salon. I'd seriously go back just for that. Everything else from the sugar scrub, hot towel, paraffin wax, to of course polish job was also done well/relaxing. Lastly, onto a few more little things that I think are equally notable in recommending Lucky Nails & Spa. Staff were all friendly and attentive. They are very hygienic. They open the sealed sterilized packages right in front of you. They line the foot basins with plastic and wear latex free gloves. The massage chairs are plentiful and actually give a nice massage with a variety of options. I have no complaints about the gel manicure that I received at this location. However, I asked for a sparkle polish on top of my color and the owner or manager came up and rudely told me I would need to pay an extra five dollars. I've been to dozens of nail salons and I've never had to pay extra for a glitter topcoat. He was terribly rude and told me I was trying to get something for free. Just finished up with my second pedicure here, and I'm happy to say I have a new nail place minutes from my house! Besides a welcoming atmosphere and friendly faces, the quality of work is great! My feet and toes are happy! Bonus for me is that they autoclave their instruments and have single use files and pumice stones (should've asked to take mine home). Clean, friendly, and sanitary! My first visit I got the classic pedi. This time I stepped it up and got the deluxe: classic plus a scrub massage and paraffin wax dip (and something else but I'm not recalling the difference right now). I walked in both times. The first time, they asked me to return in a hour, which was not a problem, and this time they got me in about 15 minutes after I walked in. Great new addition to Louisville! read more

I went into Lucky Nails with high expectations because of all the glowing reviews. The experience there was great, very clean and kind staff. I left very happy, but then less than 24 hours after I got my gel manicure, it started to crack. By four days after my manicure, all 10 of my nails had cracked and I had to get the gels removed. I've never had this happen before, but after researching it online it seems like the most common cause is using nail polish that is old and thickened. The color they used for me did seem pretty thick, so if you go here just be careful to ask for a polish that is newer so this doesn't happen for you too! read more
