Unresponsive service I called a week ago today for a quote on getting a hitch put on my car and spoke to Celeste who took all the pertinent information and said she'd call me back with a quote . Never got a quote . So my husband called she gave him a verbal quote after asking all the information over again . Said she'd email it, and never did . I called again this morning at 8:00 and was promised an email and never got ​​one once again. Both my​ husband and I tried calling today & no one picked up the phone but a recording came on and never directed us to at answering machine to leave a message for a call back . We called for over an hour with the same response . No one ever picked up . If they have caller ID they could look and see how many times we called with no answer . Frustrated with no regard for customer service called someone else and spoke to a live person who gave me the quote over the phone and emailed me while I was on the phone . I now have an appointment to get a trailer hitch put on my car next Monday . That is what I call service ! If you don't want to lose business you need to replace Celeste as a receptionist or train her better to do her job because my experience was ridiculous! I will no longer do business with WELDRITE again nor any of my colleagues I share this story with. If this is the way you do business you might want to look at a better business plan and get a responsive receptionist that is friendly & organized and responsive to customers. read more

After installing a low profile 5 wheel, they removed my factory Under-Bed Gooseneck hitch and whole system, did not tell me about it and DID NOT GIVE IT BACK to me. Today they kicked my driver out of their territory when he came to take it back after he discovered the absent of a factory mount and whole under bed system. New one will cost about 800$. I ordered my hitch receiver and wiring kit online, which they were good to install. They also order hitches if needed. They gave me a time and price estimate before I got there. There were other customers, so I was delayed a bit, but they finished installing the receiver within the prescribed time, as well as doing the wiring for my car. They tested the light sequence, showing it worked before I left, and now I'm a happy customer. They installed a hitch on my van previously which also worked well. read more

I made the mistake of going to this shop to have four boat trailer bearings replaced. After they were replaced my surge brakes no longer worked properly. After returning 7 times in 3 days I finally gave up and took it to B & G trailer in Deland. It's an hour drive from Orlando and completely worth the money and the drive. Do not go to this location for any services. I took my vehicle to this location in order to get a hitch installed. Weld-Rite was charging me $362.74 to install the hitch and this did not include any wiring. The specific breakdown was Class 1 Hitch - 219.63, Labor per minute - $22.50, Labor per hour for shop fabrication - $75.00, Shipping charges - $25.00, Taxes $20.61 for a total of $362.74. I found the very same hitch online for $120.38 with taxes totaling $7.83....and free shipping. Weld-Rite Co. Inc, was charging me $244.63 for hitch and shipping when I was able to receive same items at more door for $128.21. I got the hitch installed including wiring at another location for a grand total of $228.21 as opposed to Weld-Rite's $362.74. Do NOT support this business!!! read more
