On 3/4, my female cat was scheduled for a spay surgery and rabies vaccine. After the procedure, my cat was discharged without an E-collar. When I asked about it, the representative stated that they were out of stock and waiting for a shipment. However, they also emphasized that my cat should not lick the surgical site. This is concerning because cats naturally groom themselves, and it is unrealistic to expect owners to completely prevent licking--especially while sleeping. If preventing licking is critical for proper healing, it would be appropriate for the clinic to ensure an E-collar or another protective option is available before discharging patients after surgery. read more

I had my two kittens spayed with texas litter control. I was not warned how difficult it would be spaying two kittens at once until I picked my cats up post op. They gave me soft e-collars(i paid for), which did literally nothing to prevent my kittens from busting out of it and licking their wounds. Two days of zero sleep preventing them from licking the surgical sight. I ended up purchasing baby suits and that helped. Texas litter control said I should've bought hard collars and offered to sell me some for the same initial price, when I asked why they didn't do that in the first place they had no answer. Anyways my babies are healed and all is well months later. I'd say the quality of care you get depends on the staff on shift, some are nice some are rude. I'm sure they deal with some bs though. Took my male cat to be neutered here and at first we were happy. The wait wasn't that long to get him in but picking him up was so disappointing!! He was in his carrier soaked in urine. It was soaked all the way through the bottom board part of the actual carrier. He stunk and my husband and I were very upset! We made a SAME DAY appointment for my chihuahua to get her check up. Not only were we here for less than 30 mins to get all the vaccines we needed, but it was very affordable. As a rescue organization, we work hard to protect the animals in our care and act in their best interest. Unfortunately, our experience with this spay and neuter clinic was deeply disappointing and concerning. A foster in our program, who was not authorized to make medical decisions for a dog she was fostering, attempted to take that dog to this clinic. When we contacted the clinic to explain the situation and reclaim our dog, we were told it was a "civil matter" and asked not to contact them again. However, we later found out that they informed the foster we were planning to retrieve the dog at drop-off--despite telling us they wouldn't get involved. This contradiction undermined our efforts and enabled someone to keep a dog they had no legal right to. We are especially concerned because the dog, a husky, is reportedly being kept in a garage in Texas heat--completely unacceptable and dangerous. Due to their lack of professionalism and willingness to support someone actively violating a rescue agreement, we no longer trust this clinic with any animal in our care. Mean girls club I went there last week as i was told I can show up with 1 TNR with out appointments ( per their own email from reggie) and if they have no show they will take it for surgery . I get there , waited in line & only 1 TNR showed up . There was one lady that was there with prego TNR and they told-her she cant use TLC any more ! I asked to speak to Manager . The woman claimed she is a new manager BUT wouldn't give me her name. I asked for deana which is the director & manager said she will turn me away too . When i got home i wrote them an email concerning my issue with rude manager and next morning i got an email that i am banned for making a sense & workers there have issue with me all the time . I emailed deana 3 times that they are mistaking me with the other woman . But no respond . Mind u I live in montgomary county and i my tax $ is paying for free TNR programs and now the animals are suffering because of their action . I never had any issue at tomball location . We recently acquired a stray dog and used the Humble location to have him checked for a chip, he was given shots and they told us the dog was too skinny to have neutered to take him home and let him gain some weight for 1 month and we rescheduled him for that procedure at the Spring location, which turned into a complete debacle, he stayed all day and we picked him up at 4:30 pm only to have him bleeding when we got home , we immediately took him back up there, only to have their doctor tell us they had nothing to repair his bleeding wound and to take him to Animal Emergency Clinic...a ton of money later and one very very sick dog , we have one strong message for people ....Do Not use this place for any Pet medical procedures....we went from trying to save money because their prices are really good to spending way more money than we should have ever spent. I scheduled my dog to be neutered and have a hernia removed during his visit yesterday and when we went to pick him up, they had not removed the hernia. They said that it was to complex and they did not have time to remove it, that my standard vet would have to complete the removal. The main reason I chose them to provide the service over my vet was cost, but now it is going to end up costing me more to have it removed! I wish they had told me all of this before they started, so I could have told them no and taken him to my regular vet and have him provide the service. This place is a disaster. They will call and cancel right before your appointment and make you schedule another day that's not convenient at all. Once you get to the appointment guess what you sit in the room for an hour or longer before you get seen. Another issue is when you care about your animals it's hard to walk away and take the business elsewhere. This company clearly takes advantage of that and it's a shame. I can't with these guys. They are the BEST. So friendly, so helpful. I came in with my 8 year old sheltie last week because my vet wouldn't take me until the following day and I was panicking. The staff calmed me down, and had so much patience with me. One sweet woman (I'm sorry, I didn't get names, I was in Mama Bear mode) did breathing exercises with me. They told me my dog would be alright until his appointment and helped stave off any anxiety and panic I had for my pup. Just as an update, he did end up getting diagnosed with osteosarcoma cancer in his back leg, but knowing that such good people exist in this world makes it easier. I'm so distraught and upset. I don't understand how you can mess up clipping nails that badly, it was almost down to the bone on one nail. I had one of my cats neutered there and recently brought them in three of my cats for their annual exam and rabies shots. Dr. Leonpacher is great! He took the time to check over my cats and was much more thorough than the local veterinarian at the office I had taken them to in the past. He checked all of their systems. The vet tech was so good with my cats as well, you can tell she loves cats and mine responded so well to her. First visit in 2023 they gave my young dog a rabies vaccine although they had copies of her records & I verbally advised a new vaccine wasn't required since she was already covered for 3 years. Second visit 9/12 we arrived early & during check-in we were asked several times what vaccines were needed. I had to advise they were here for their yearly round of vaccines & whatever was needed to get new pup up to date & possibly boosters. Vet was very nice, friendly & informative. We were then met with Amber (?) & she was also very friendly I gave the vaccines like a pro. She was great!!! While checking out, we were provided copies of records but no scripts as mentioned several times because they do not carry the Spectrum we like to use for their prevention. We waited for scripts which are $10 each & was passed copies unlike the handwritten script received the prior year. Well, Chewy doesn't accept copies & asked for a handwritten one instead. I was willing to wait, but felt like the woman who had to write them was very short & rude. Again, we were ok with waiting & did not understand the responses as if she was irritated by the request. We finally received their written script & was advised that as of next year 2025 they would no longer be handing them out & what looks to be copies will be used instead. I am aware rules are rules, but the way that information was conveyed could have been better. Maybe post this somewhere so your customers are made aware Put it on your website possibly ? Yes, they are cost effective, but I am a huge fan of good customer service over cost. We do not plan to return to this location. read more

Now that they have had funding cut off or back the value is not all that wonderful especially for people who are having a hard enough time paying all their bills. If I could give it a zero star I would. I scheduled an appointment for my dog to get his shots at 1:30, we checked in and got a room right away. We sat in that room for almost 2 hours before ever being seen. Other people had the same issues and even asked the ETA on their room and one staff member straight up said "I'm not really sure" I get it if a business is short staff, if that's the case they should know how to schedule on their time and not over book people. My dog needed two shots only and to wait for almost two hours for that is just ridiculous. No one even had the audacity to come check on us or update us on what was taking so long. After what they put our dog through, these people obviously don't care about animals. Our dog's scrotum was FALLING OUT the day after we had him neutered here. When we called TLC immediately, they told us to WAIT and come in first thing the next morning between 8-8:15 AM at their Spring, TX location. We arrived, and the place was closed - no one would answer. We sat with our poor dog who was visibly in such agonizing pain in the back of the car for 35 minutes. No one showed up. We had no other option but to go to an emergency vet that costed a fortune. The ER vet said they did a poor stitch job on our dog and the sutures the TLC vets used needed to be REPLACED! I guess you do get what you pay for here. Given we had to pay extra to fix their crappy stitch job we should've just gone to a more professional clinic to get it done right in the first place. Do not risk taking your pet here. Terrible service. Used poor quality surgical tools. Neglectful of their patients post surgery. Would not recommend, ever. Our dog suffered so much. read more

They do good work for neuter and spay. Tried them for wellness check, which was not cheap but OK, not very detailed, and bedside manner was not super either. Tried to refill prescription on their website, they are much more expensive than Chewy; If you want our prescription, you will be dinged for another $10.00 per prescription. Might as well go the TSC Vet, they do the same, are friendlier and you can get your scripts filled wherever you like, no cost, no hassle. Overall, they seem to be a staff of caring animal lovers. I think my dog received good care. My issue might be that I was having a rescue pup neutered and vaccinated, and was already in love with this dog. He tested positive for heart-worms and I feel like I should have been told this diagnosis BEFORE proceeding with the expense of neutering an animal that I might need to pass on as adoptable. Sigh....ok so yes I'm a sucker and I've decided to keep this dog, so yes, I'm glad he is neutered. I just feel like that was important info I should have been told BEFORE the surgery. So, my only suggestion to you, if that's important to you, you might want to request notification of HW test results before giving permission to proceed with surgery. This is a non profit clinic and we are lucky to have them in our community. The person who scheduled us was very helpful providing all details pertaining the cost and what was expected. Email instructions were complete and easy to follow. Check-In was a little lengthy, but I think it is expected from a low cost clinic. The girl at the front desk was extremely helpful during drop off and when we picked our dog up. We were sent home with post op care instructions, pain medication, microchip, and a vaccinated dog. They received a one star for ease of scheduling and for typically the cost to care for a well visit. Previous to this comment I've had a good experience at the old location although it didn't come with all the bells and whistle's I felt for the cost and what they did it was great for basic care. I would've given five stars for my prior experiences. Update: Julie from the magnolia office called me back and got everything handled over the phone and appt scheduled for 4:00pm today. She apologized because the expanded services are new and apparently the staff are still learning. It took a simple ask to the Veternarian to match what I was concerned about to the fact they can actually help. Let's see how the appt actually goes today. However, it doesn't go without noticing since they've moved to the new location how things have changed. The scheduler named Jessica shows zero compassion during a time of a pandemic, and with sick animals and I am only requesting a second opinion. My cat is literally on the verge of dying and before I ultimately make a decision to put it down I would like to see if another veterinarian can give me a conclusive answer to what my cat is dealing with. I am 100% disabled veteran and on a fixed income I cannot pay $1000 again for another full service vet to tell me what they think. I was called it a day ago to provide previous records from the vet. I am mediately got that done and had it emailed over to TLC, at 3:45 in the afternoon on Wednesday per Jessica's request. Now, I have received the same email so I know that they received it. However, today Thursday at 1:30, I get another phone call from Jessica saying they never received it and they would have to push my dying cat appointment back three days to a day that I cannot attend to. I feel that this is a direct attempt to not want to see my cat because I'm a low income disabled veteran and not paying full cost. Then I asked what does it take for me to keep the appointment on Saturday do I need to pay for cost and she says you're gonna have to pay full cost anyways! So what is the point of requesting a low fee scale for those that are low income? Then I asked to speak to a manager when things got a little heated over the phone and she mentioned this was the managements directives but were unavailable to speak to. She said the manager was Jennifer, I said great have her call me because I would like to file a complaint. Completely unsatisfactory! I am asking for a second opinion, not a full work up and diagnosis for what I know is eventually going to be the inevitable. However, Jessica wouldn't know that because she wouldn't let me speak long enough to get out what my desires were to even know. We went in for a round of vaccines for my dog and the receptionist was extremely rude the vet came out of every room went to the reception desk and stood there talking for 15 to 20 minutes before she went and saw the next patient we sat in the waiting room for an hour completely ignored before we just left.
