I have lived at Wellington Place Apartments for greater than 5 years. It feels so much more than an apartment, it's home. The resident actives are fun and welcoming. The grounds are beautifully maintained. And one of the most impressive things for me personally is that all of the maintenance staff have been there for years and years. I lived at this property for three years. The only positive is the grounds are nice and the area is quiet. The floorplans were nice. Maintenance was ok unless you had an emergency. Some calls would go unanswered. I had to call emergency several times because of the terrible smoke detectors going off for no reason. The neighbors you have definitely make or break your experience. Some of them are downright unfriendly. My dog was attacked by an unleashed, aggressive dog. Another neighbor was caught creeping around my door. Another would make frequent false complaints about others with visitors. The problem with that is the office doesn't communicate with you about any of this directly to you but they will hand out your phone number without permission. Every day my whole apartment smelled awful because I had a neighbor that would cook all day and night. Now let's move on to the charges. Rent seems reasonable until you realize they add over $150 in extras and fees every month. Then, move-out is exactly like all the other reviews on here. None of them are lying. It's a nightmare. Everyone gets charged for carpet. Doesn't matter how old. This is the one thing they say they will not assess during a walkthrough (wonder why). They will find little ways to eat at your deposit. Turned in all my keys but was charged for 1 mailbox key. My renter's insurance was approved for the period I lived there yet they said I uploaded it a day late, so they charged me $25. They added 2 days of rent and technology fee to the bill after I paid my prorated rent. You get charged multiple "admin fees" for the utilities upon move out. Also, they force you to get internet paid through them but then make you responsible for the account when you move out. They automatically send your bill to a third-party collections agency so that they don't have to deal with people questioning their charges, knowing they are ridiculous. The third party will constantly e-mail and call you, even though your bill is way less than 30 days old. They started calling me before I even received my statement. Then when you send documents for proof to get things removed, they keep replying immediately saying "they can't open them". The reason the apartments are so nice is because they keep all of the deposits and peoples' hard-earned money to fund it. Also, be advised that they ask for a 5 Star review when you tour the apartments. This is why there is such a discrepancy between their Google and Yelp ratings. read more

I lived here for a year and overall it wasn't bad. However, I would hear mice in the walls of my apartment and when I told the front office / maintenance about it, all they did was set traps up outside of my apartment. Additionally when I moved out the apartment complex I had left it in better condition than when I had moved in. When I moved in there was trash in my apartment, bugs everywhere, and a weird smell that took me months to get rid of. The apartment complex not only charged me for "damages" to the stove top, but they charged me more than the invoice provided. They also charged me for replacing the carpets saying there were pet stains and smells, even though I had gotten the carpets cleaned before I moved out. I felt the stove stop showed normal wear and tear and did not need to be replaced. Once I saw these charges, I attempted to call the property several times over a span of 3 months and talk with the property manager, however whenever I called the property manager was conveniently out of the office. The leasing agent would take down my name and number and proceed to tell me that the property manager would give me a call. I never heard from the property manager. I am have unhappy without how this process took place. I have lived in several apartments before this one and this is by far the worst experience I have had. Don't be fooled by looks Very very Disappointed in their management team it is really a disaster . poor communication they keep ignoring the maintenance request and they keep telling you sorry we are short of stuff ! Seriously ? We are paying almost 1500 for own bedroom apartment . Look at the pics attached this is happening every 3 months in my apartment this year , water leaking and mold until I keep emailing them many times they send someone just to clean the water and they never tried to fix it and find out what this happened. My window has been broken for many months now and we are now in the cold season I have been to their office many many times asking them to fix it ...they said oh well the glass order is taking too much time ..are you serious ? Plus they are making me paying for it even if it was due to the change in the weather condition . please don't chose this place they have very bad service they don't care about the renters and their maintenance requests however when there is 5 dollars in your balance they keep emailing you ! this is not luxury this a big lie ...all my friends here are very disappointed and they will leave as soon as their lease end . Very disappointed in their management team as ending a leasing contract has been a disaster. They try to nickel and dime the poor residents of this community and have no assistance in the outrageous rental fees 30, 60 day notices? I was told several different amounts that I owed nearing the end of my lease. Poor communication. My rental fee for a two bedroom went from $1200 to over $1600 in a month. Very difficult to make ends meet for someone with a normal salary, with no lock in assistance. I'm supposing this community is more intended for the higher end people of the latter. They want referrals but would not refer this community as their leasing policy is outrageous. read more

Seemed nice at first, but the renovation they did (while we were living there and which we had to pack up half of our apartment for and weren't permitted to be in our apartment for two-three days while they did it, not to mention the multiple screws in my tires during the NINE MONTHS that construction was going on, on site and the damage to my apartment by the construction crew, which now it seems they're charging me for upon move out) was more aesthetically pleasing than functional - DON'T BE FOOLED BY LOOKS. They started drastically raising rent prices after this renovation, despite the fact that the area is getting more ghetto by the day. Also, in the two years we lived here, the maintenance requests were being more frequently ignored and they weren't concerned with most problems at all, including the dip in the floor of my second floor apartment and when my downstairs neighbors ceiling was leaking into their laundry room. read more

This Place raised the rent by ~$300.. it's nearly $2,000/m for a two bedroom with about a $200-300 different from a one bedroom. Studios are damn near $1,000.. I lived in a 2 bedroom with my fiancé (a biologist working with Novartis) (making $2,100 a month) and we decided to move because, although we could afford it, we wouldn't save as much money as we would be at the time. I work in a warehouse from 5p-3:30A making $20/hr. I would NEVER pay $2,000 for something I'm only renting. There are better options. Do not move here. Keep looking. read more

I have had nothing but troubles getting any solution from this office during the two years living at Wellington and it has been worse contacting them since moving out. Their responses are minimal with no resolutions and that is with me following up multiple times. I was told they would correct their error on my move out charges, but they are now pushing this issue off to their billing department when I followed up again since it was not corrected the first time. They only respond to one questions per email and will ignore anything else you mention, will not respond to emails regarding missing items/packages, and the office manager never contacted me back after I request to speak with her on multiple occasions. This is unacceptable behavior coming from an apartment complex that was charging $1600/mo and I could not even get someone to properly fix my AC unit every month, for 6 months. read more

My name is Hazel, and I am six-month-old puppy living at the Wellington Place Apartments here in Fishers, Indiana! I have lived at Wellington Place apartments my whole life and, let me tell you, it is a dream come true for a puppy like me! My home is cozy, has a pretty cool balcony, and gives me lots of space to play! Also, there is a dog park close by where I have plenty of room to run and I am constantly meeting my four-legged neighbors! When my parents take me on a walk, I always come home tired because of all the space around the property! There are so many beautiful trees, grass, sidewalks, and can't forget my favorite--sticks! Sometimes, I get to go and see my friends at the leasing office who all remember my name, give me treats, and of course, lots of pets. My parents have never asked me to pay my puppy rent, which means it must be affordable to have me around! Sure, my life can be ruff, but living at Wellington Place makes it great! I've lived here for over a year and let me tell you I love this place. Before I moved here I was in correspondence with the main office for three months trying to coordinate everything prior to moving back from overseas. They were more than helpful and accommodating. Every time I requested something they were willing to assist. Work orders are done very quickly, any assistance I may need with my apartment they are willing. The place is kept clean which is very important and when it snows they do a great job maintaining the property. The maintenance team is on top of it! More importantly, the staff that works are super sweet! Very professional, they always have time for a chat, and personable. Due to my job, I move a lot and have lived in many apartment complexes across the states. By far this is the best experience I've ever had with living and staff. read more

I have left reviews of this property on a couple of other websites. Rather than trying to say something different on each, I have copy/pasted. This is the nicest apartment community I have lived in. My husband and I relocated to Fishers from the South Bend/Mishawaka area in August. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The office staff and maintenance staff are very friendly. There is ample parking. Great on-site amenities. The location is located close to all the things a person needs. This place is also extremely pet-friendly. There are dog-waste stations throughout the property. Maintenance issues are handled promptly. That is a first for us. Our previous complex up north took months to fix a roofing issue that was causing water to pour through the window frame in our living room. Here, we started having issues with the water heater. Maintenance was here within 48 hours of our request to assess the problem. Next day they put in a new water heater. The management likes to foster a sense of community as well. There is always something going on at the clubhouse. There are game nights, holiday events, pet photo contests, etc. There are only two complaints that I have. One is common for apartments and that is the poor quality windows. Thermal-backed curtains are a must. The second is one that other reviewers have also mentioned and that is the trash disposal situation. This is a fairly large complex. Instead of Dumpsters, they opted for trash compactors. There are only 2 of these. It is quite sufficient. It also makes getting rid of any larger items a bit more difficult as there is nowhere on-site to do so. The other issue with only having compactors is we cannot recycle. Overall, I highly recommend this complex. We are quite happy with our choice. read more

My mother is trying to become a resident, and Caty, along with their district manager, Sara have been so helpful getting everything in order to be able to move in. The apartments are so close to me that having her live that close gives her her Independence, but also close enough that I can be there within minutes. went to Wellington and the associate that helped me was extremely nice and showed me a 2 bedroom based on budget and square footage needs. I really liked the property and the amenities. After my tour I filled out an application and the next day paid the $99 deposit. I was told that I would receive a welcome letter and assumed that everything would be taken care of, but I had to call to follow up multiple times and then Danielle told me that I would actually owe an extra $400 for my deposit and that they had yet to do a rental authorization from my residence, this was 2 days before my move in date. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The smiles are fake and you're just another sale. For the staff, be more respectful of peoples time and act with more of a sense of urgency. If you promise a move in time don't tell your future resident 2 days before move-in day, I work full-time retail and have to plan a schedule around moving. read more

I lived here for almost five years and can honestly say I came and left with zero complaints or grievances. What has been mentioned by other reviews regarding the grounds is absolutely true. They are maintained so well and absolutely beautiful, I can honestly say I was unable to find a comparison when I did move from the area. Maintenance was always very prompt, often coming the next day to make and needed adjustments or repairs. The office staff were never anything but helpful, kind, and friendly a single time I went in. I cannot begin to explain the level of professionalism as well what Candace and her husband/friend have done for me. I flew in from Corpus Christi late Weds night. From then on I began researching places in the area to live. I visited countless apt communities throughout Thurs, finding myself a bit frustrated and ready to start a new the next day. From the time I walked into Wellington Place I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism. To top it off, I had to leave to go to the hospital for two days. Upon returning late Sunday evening, Candace was still working and went way out of what any typical worker would have been inclined to do on a Sunday evening. To make matters short, I arrived at my apt with no qualms. I received a personal phone call from her asking if the apt was still to my liking and if I needed anything. I told her yes, the apt is perfect and thanked her. She proceeded to ask if I'd been able to furnish my things. I explained to her that I had not yet but would be doing so tomorrow. The next thing I know, she as well as her husband and their friend brought there own personal mattress, bed, sheets, blanket and a pillow to me so as I did not have to sleep on my floor or go out to get an air mattress.... what a true blessing. This is not typical of any place I've ever lived in my previous 28yrs. I'm so grateful and I pray that if anyone knows these individuals that you appreciate the type of kind, caring ppl they are. When we had a dilemma with our remaining belongings when we were moving out, they worked with us and were understanding. I have been extremely disappointed with the Wellington Place Apartments in Fishers. I emailed them to ask questions about renting and only heard back sporadically. I stopped in and was told I would need to wait probably close to an hour because they were short-staffed. I ended up going elsewhere - the service was absolutely horrible. Now, I noticed that since there is construction nearby they are doing everything they can to prohibit anyone from driving near their apartments. I hear that even the residents can hardly get in. They do nothing for their customers and certainly nothing for the surrounding community. The only thing they are doing is adding more traffic, frustrating people, and probably building even more negative word of mouth from the thousands of people that drive by there each day. read more
