My partner went here for a simple thumb injury. He checked in and sat in a room waiting for an hour and a half to be seen. He finally had to say something to a staff member who then relayed the information that the front desk girl never even checked him in. So no other staff knew he was waiting in the room. I waited in the waiting room for 2 hours for a fit test. They called me back and then we're unaware it was a fit test (which I told the front desk and handed her my epassport) and then she disappeared for another 5-10 mins and came back to say the nurse who does fit testing wasn't there and i could go to the other location in 57 which is roughly 15 mins away. I needed an X Ray for an injury. When I walked in to the front Desk the receptionist was helpful. I had a script for the X Ray and was told by the Doctor to go to St. Joseph's imaging because they could do it at a cheaper cost and was sure that they were open. It's Saturday by the way. I knew the Doctor was just trying to shuffle me out so I practiced my due diligence and called . of course they were closed so back inside to sign back in. Doctor spreading mis information was my first impression of his incompetence. Things quickly go from bad to worse when I'm finally seen. Doctor was Rude and dismissive. Was very loud and talked over me when telling him about my pain situation and how I've tried for a week to just try to get into a comfortable position with the brace. Told me to take Tylenol and advil. X ray came back not showing what the problem was so he told me that there was nothing he could do for me. Take some advil and try more pillows! if you are feeling sick because of movement then don't move so much and throw an ice pack on it. will be calling back tomorrow to complain and get their Corporate office phone number. Doctor should go back to Medical school because he failed Bed side manner 101. I seriously felt as I would have gotten better care for my injury if I had walked into the nearest McDonald's and asked a worker if they could assess my injury. I did a walk-in at Wellnow Cicero, NY and asked for a PCR test (test to check if I had Covid). The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming - she asked a couple of questions about symptoms and the reason for testing. I have been there before so she looked up my information and that was all set. The "Covid" testing rooms were filled so I waited for approximately 10 min and then was called in. I waited less than a minute and the nurse came in, took my vitals, etc. and gave me the Covid test. He left and the PA came in less than a minute later to explain the CDC guidelines, etc. and that the results would be back in 24 hours - they have a paper with instructions to check it on the website, you can be emailed or texted when the results are ready. Excellent Office, clean, well organized, welcoming staff and quick service. I would recommend this Urgent Care. read more

My husband went to Five Star Urgent Care in August. We just received the first and only bill from them on 12/13. On 12/15 -2 days after receiving the bill for the first time-we received a bill from a collection agency. We have excellent credit and an HSA set up to pay for medical expenses, but we were given no chance to even attempt to pay them as it seems they sent us the first bill and sent it to collections at the same time. Ridiculous. In terms of care received, they did nothing to help. They checked him and said he would need to go to the ER for any kind of diagnosis or treatment. A complete waste of time, and now we get to deal with keeping this unjustified collection off of our credit report. Absolutely avoid this place. read more

I needed a PPD for employment. My local well now urgent care in Jamestown New York didn't have any solution. I had to go out of town to have the PPD done. I stopped in and asked them to read it, they refused unless I paid them money. So because they are too incompetent to have the appropriate supplies I once again had to drive out of town. As a traveling nurse I have frequent drug tests, as well as vaccinations and physicals through Wellnow. Terrible customer service. read more

I went there for an illness and yes they got me right in to see someone, however when I left and went to the pharmacy where they were supposed to send my meds, they never sent them over. I waited for a half hour to forty-five minutes after I let the pharmacist know I should be getting something. I ended up leaving without my meds. I was so sick, I didn't feel like waiting any longer. I also never got any kind of notification from the pharmacy that meds got filled for me. I called them the next day and they said oh something must have went wrong, we will try again. I just got back from here and I have to say it was the best experience I've had at any urgent care facility. The guys at reception were really nice. I didn't catch one of the guy's name, but he sincerely cared about the people he was talking to. There was no wait- I barely even sat down before they called my name. They are on top of their technology too. One thing I really liked was that the doctor had someone else come in the room with him to write notes (instead of the doctor doing it himself). This made the experience more personal because I felt like I was talking to the doctor and had his full attention; not talking to someone looking at a computer screen more than me. I swear I've had haircuts that took longer to get in and out of. They set me up with my prescription and gave me all the documentation I could read about my injury and I was home. Including driving there and back it had to have taken less than an hour. read more

No hassle of triage and wait - was taken directly back to a room - assessed and was seen by NP rather quickly - Without telling them I was a Registered Nurse I was treated professionally, accurately as well and promptly. My laceration was cleansed, explored and repaired. - This has been the norm for all our visits here. What people need to keep in mind - is that what may be emergent to you - there are generally several others with similar or worse situations that require immediate attention. I was recently seen at the Orchard Park location for bronchitis and an ear and sinus infection. I checked in on- line so I did not have to wait long at all. The nurse practitioner was knowledgeable but lacked common sense concerning my work ability. I explained that I work as an RN in a hospital but she thought 1 day off was adequate. I don't think sending a sick nurse to take care of sick people is appropriate! So anyway, after several days on antibiotics, I am experiencing an allergic reaction in the form of a rash. I called and spoke to a rude and inconsiderate receptionist named Melanie. Melanie failed to understand the issue at hand and address it accordingly. So instead of a call back from a nurse or a provider, I was told I had to be seen, "because they are just not going to hand out drugs to anyone". I seen four to five health professionals including The provider come in triage,vitals, exam and x-ray, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON WASHED THEIR HANDS OR USED A HAND SANTITIZER, Welcome to germ city. I like to see my health care providers clean their hands even before shaking my hand and greeting me. I was truly disturbed and in shock over this as I'm a health care worker. On a separate note I received a bill from a previous visit I had my self, I called the billing department to find out I owe nothing which is great and it was paid in November. As I investigate further to the billing code 99215 office outpatient visit $438.00 to take my temp pulse and blood pressure to be told they don't do chest x-rays go to emergency room but the website says under we treat x-rays and diagnostics. Next a $50.00 dollar fee is charged for after hour appointment which I was told is after 4 PM. While I was speaking to the billing department I was told if I had no insurance it wouldn't cost that much as I vented about that's the exact reason no one can afford medical insurance and the reason why copays and premiums are so expensive. I wound never go to this place again! I went in due to a fall the day after Christmas from a table bench. (Blonde) Bruised my left side pretty bad. The rib on by back was getting more painful. They did an X-ray and then the PA came with the bad news. She said I would not be present for my granddaughters birth, or watching my 3 yr old, as I had a broken rib, which I knew was most likely! The pain was excruciating. She then tells me I will need surgery on my hip to have a pin put in for the brake! I was in tears, as we also had a trip planned. She was just oh well to bad! Now I had been walking for over a week and could not understand if hip is broken, why doesn't it hurt at least as bad as my rib.Dr at hospital was not happy with 5Star either! There were so many things they did that were bad, it would take a week to write them all done! So if you have any other choice, take it! read more

Worst urgent care ever. Took my wife there for severe flu symptoms. The female taking the flu culture had no idea what she was doing and caused my wife's nose to bleed heavily from inserting the culture swab in too far and obviously to hard. Then had no idea how to treat the nose bleed and called for the nurse practitioner. No doctor in the place. Three females in scrubs stood there and watched while I took care of the nose bleed and tried to clean my wife's face, hands, clothes, and the wall in the treatment room. Yes, it was bleeding that bad. The NP finally stuck a gauze up in the nostril treated with something to stop the bleeding. No apologies, or any kind of remorse for what they had caused.
