Please be Aware, that Well Now is acting under shady insurance practices. Billing people without sending claims to insurance companies. Having you sign , while under duress, without your knowledge, to consent to auto bill charges. When on numerous calls with my insurance company and a Well Now billing agent, was asked point blank "why" ?? they do not have an answer. They fumble with words, and shrug off responsibilities.

The most surprising response came from Guthrie Support, which stated that they "do not have contact information for the Director of Orthopedics" Ben Robinson and instructed me to call the appointments line and request to be transferred to the Orthopedics Department. In 2026, when appointments, billing, test results, and patient communication are handled electronically, it is difficult to understand why there is no direct written email or contact and why patients are repeatedly told to call a general phone number instead. More than a month later, the only update we received was that the Coding Department had requested a corrected insurance claim. The issue was still not resolved, and we continued receiving generic responses directing us to call instead of providing a direct written communication channel. Below is there copied response : Thank you for your inquiry. We have reviewed your account. Unfortunately, we do not have contact information for the Director of Orthopedics. Moot because we ended up in the hospital for four days for something they could not have treated anyway. They called the hospital to advise that we would be there and forwarded the information they did have. The advance information allowed the emergency room to begin testing right away.

I told the dr there was no way my wrist was broken, as I was flapping around my wrists trying to tell him no way, he proceeded to tell me there was a hamate fracture. In the cast I went, baffled because I knew it was not broken, you would of thought maybe seeing me move my hands and wrist he would of doubled checked with the radiologist! As I left in a cast, I was given a fast pass to ortho for a new cast. Weekend plans were canceled due to this. Went to ortho 1st thing the following Monday, and was basically laughed at, they didn't see a fracture. As soon as I left ortho, I drove right to Well now asking to see the x-ray myself, They refused to show it to me. They made me fill out a grievance. Of course, I never heard from anybody until I started going in there every day telling them I want to be reimbursed for all my co payments. I kept hearing somebody will get back to me. Finally a week later a physicians assistant showed me the x-ray. She didn't see a fracture either because of my misdiagnosis I am out money! Not one person even apologized for making me wear a cast all weekend they refused to cover my ortho copayment, which I never needed to go to ortho to begin with. Never again!

I have used both Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp for the past 9 years as I have gone through…read moreinfertility treatment - so take that into consideration when reading this. I have also used Quest in a major metropolitan area versus this Quest of Cortland. I needed same day STAT bloodwork done and went to this location. I am still waiting for my very important results a day and a half later and found out this morning that the labs were done incorrectly (either the phlebotomist or the lab typed something incorrectly - we are all human, that is not the issue), but the lab running my blood still had my blood 24 hours later so after 6 phone calls to the doctor and quest they were going to rerun my blood. No apology no nothing from quest - they essentially blamed my doctor (it was clearly typed on my orders ... again a mistake but generally in customer service you apologize for the inconvenience and do all in your power to make it better.). Not quest. If you need a beta drawn, heck if you're waiting for ANY important test - take your business elsewhere. I know I will be for all of the follow up tests I need. To think of the money that my insurance has paid these buffoons over the years. Don't worry Quest - I won't forget and I will NEVER use quest again. And I'll make sure anyone I know and love doesn't either. And anyone reading Yelp ... or better business bureau ... I am BEYOND mad!
