I visited the office to schedule an appointment. I was given an application to fill out. I said I'm not applying for a job, I want to make an appointment. They said I needed to apply to become a new patient. I've never heard of anything like that nor has anyone else. I have excellent insurance and no serious medical issues. I completed their application and left. A few days later I received a call saying all of their doctors were NOT taking new patients. I told them I clearly stated my urgency when I stopped in and was told they were taking new patients. Now I find out that wasn't true and I wasted 4 days waiting. They CLEARLY don't care about people's well being. In visiting many other doctors in my area I found many are under the Family Care Medical Group. I visited 5 with similar bad results. I would not trust these insensitive, uncaring people with my healthcare.

I was then told that I could only be seen by my primary at this point (!?!?!?). Amy @the front desk (very kind) checked and my primary had no appointments until JANUARY! I was beyond angry. I demanded to see the office manager (another kind person) and she was able to get me a next day appointment with a Dr. Kuntz, he is not my primary GP. So, I was denied care because I am still sick?!?! I have been a patient at Guthrie for over 20 years and have experienced a sharp decline in practioner quality and availability for the past few years. I will be switching to another healthcare practice.
