My wife experienced a UTI in late May, contacted her primary care and was told we cannot see you immediately; please visit an urgent care. She visited the local Wellnow on 5/28/2025. She saw an NP and briefly saw the onsite doctor. She was diagnosed with onsite testing to have a UTI. Labs were sent out to confirm. We recently received an EOB from our insurance company. There is an extensive series of lab pathology charges including one for CPT code 87798. The charge resulting from this submission code alone is $684.32 which seems disproportionately high for a common UTI and the insurance company has refused to cover this charge. In ongoing discussions with the insurance company, they continue to deny coverage. They noted that this CPT code is inconsistent with a common UTI and that no insurance company would cover it. Based on my layman's interpretation, this CPT is used when testing for highly specialized infections. So if you go to Wellnow, be careful what you sign for and ask a boatload of questions. If you feel poorly, try to have someone go with you and advocate for you while you are there. It appears that Wellnow has no trouble "padding" the bill with unnecessary charges. It should be noted that Wellnow did see my wife on very short notice and took good care of her while she was there. They provided a prescription and followed up. Employers need to be weary of sending their employees here, especially those employees who are POC for any drug screens. My son lost out on a great job opportunity because of their negligence and incompetency. They screwed up not 1 but 2 drug screens by not properly doing the paperwork and by not following the proper SOP. When we reached out for answers we were lied to by someone who claimed to be the Multi Site Manager but was in reality just a shift lead. There has been no accountability or transparency. They claimed to have dealt with the person responsible for not doing either of his drug screens correctly but refused to reach out to the employer to admit the mistakes that ultimately lost my son the position he applied for. Instead they chose to label a young man of color who not only graduated a year early but was also Valedictorian of his graduating class, a deceitful drug addict. As a certified escreen drug screen collector I know for a fact they did not follow proper procedure for his second drug screen. His first was done with no issue on his part but was billed and reported to the wrong company. His second was done within days of the first and yet this time he was a supposed deceitful drug addict. I cannot begin to express the level of complete dissatisfaction and I experienced with the West Seneca location. I booked an appointment online and told I was number nine in the queue. I then received a text that my appointment was for 6:30 PM to location. I had completed all paperwork online. When I arrived, the complete lack of that was shown to me when I was told been canceled because they were not taking walk-ins any literally blew my mind. I showed the office staff by iPad with the schedule time of 630 arrival. I was continued to be referred to as a walk-in while I clearly had an appointment that was displayed on both my iPad and iPhone. I was then told to check text messages. There at 6:14 PM a cancellation of my 630pm appointment which was clearly received while I was driving in route. There was not one offer of an apology or assistance and the only phrase she repeated was we only have one provider. Frankly, I don't care how many providers you are when you accepted the appointment you knew what your staffing ratio was. I should not have been shocked when I looked at the reputation for this particular location that seems to proceed itself. I will continue the voice by concerns regarding your level of professionalism. Zero stars. Avoid at all cost. read more

The first thing you need to stop IMMEDIATELY is telling patients that their pre-employment PPD test isn't covered by their insurance. That is a LIE! The next thing you MUST stop doing IMMEDIATELY is telling patients their PPD cannot be read one minute before or one minute after the Expiration date/time. That's BS, and you know it. So, you got my daughter to pay out of pocket for something her insurance would have covered, then told her you couldn't read her PPD at 3:09 pm because it expired at 3:10 PM. Sooo, what's the tactic here? Get her to pay you out of pocket for another one? PPD read time is not THAT literal. Stop it. You may have just cost my daughter a job because of this scam you're running. This is fraud. I can prove that she was there at 3:01 and had left the parking lot at 3:10 pm, the time stated as the Expiration time. You're not going to tell me she apparated from inside your facility to a moving car in the parking lot in less than 1 minute. And to tell her the PPD wouldn't be covered by her insurance? She found out that was a LIE when her insurance told her it was. Do better! read more

The worst experience I've ever had. I usually will go to wellnow because it is faster. I went to the one on ridge rd. I was charged almost 200 dollars of co pay when I normally pay 25 and was told that sometimes their systems make mistakes and that I had to pay it anyways if I wanted to be seen and that I can just call billing afterwards to make sure that the charge was actually correct or not, then they could "refund" me. I ended up waiting an entire hour even with my appointment and it was not busy so I had time to call billing. The Billing explained to me I never had any charges and it was a mistake, but it will take 2-4 weeks to be corrected and my insurance can reimburse me. Not well now, my insurance. Even though wellnow took my money in 2 seconds. I then went back to the counter and spoke to a different person (the first person being a blonde girl). She was professional and kind and admitted the system made a mistake. However, the blonde working on 7/19 around 5PM was extremely unprofessional and yelled across her desk at me to say it wasn't her fault which I never said or suggested. I was not aggressive to her but visibly confused and questioned why she wasn't able to see exactly what I was charged for. She explained that it tells her nothing expect that I owed money. I work at a store and have been in customer service and I understand that it isn't the persons fault and usually you are doing what the computer says to do. My issue was not with the staff personally. She however did not seem sympathetic at all and continuously aggressively reminded me it was not her fault. It's not like she is the one out 160 dollars. I made an appointment did what they asked and I sat in my car, sick waiting to be called in for my "appointment" I sat in my car for over an hour while walk-in people were given priority? I have had a good experience during Covid with WellNow but recently I had a not so good one. I went to there because of a piercing I believed to be infected. When I showed up they told me it looked infected and told me that they would have to take out the earring. Stupidly I let them, and he took out the wrong earring first even though it was pretty obvious which one was irritated. Once he got the right earring it was the most painful experience of my entire life. The guy and the rest of the staff were really nice and I feel bad because although he didn't know what he should have done he was trying his best. They prescribed me cephalexin for a week. When I get home I then call my piercer just for them to tell me that you never want to take out an infected piercing because it can isolate the infection!! I then went online later and asked people online if my ear even looked infected and they said it didn't sound like it was and it just seemed like it was irritated. I'm not saying that people online know more than a doctor but honestly I don't really know who to believe. I just feel really screwed over by wellnow (and my piercers at cowpok!) :/ read more

I've had a positive experience here before (also during COVID). My time was quick, the staff was relatively nice and overall everything was fine. However, the most recent visit I had was extremely frustrating which resulted in the negative review. I walked in and a woman with her young daughter were just behind me. We stood there for a good five minutes listening to different workers in the building talking/laughing. Meanwhile, this child was experiencing an allergic reaction. I understand that things are going to be slowed down due to coronavirus. I understand when a medical facility is overwhelmed, treatment is going to be slowed. But, the parking lot was nearly empty. This is just unacceptable. There is no time to be lackadaisical when it comes to a medical profession. Luckily this woman spoke up for her daughter and she was helped quickly but it's very frustrating that she had to quite literally yell behind the counter in order to have a worker come up to the front desk to help her. read more
