Have been a customer for over 25 years, back when in was Wachovia. Wish it had stayed Wachovia! This bank continues to decline in customer service, overall unhelpfulness (at least for us regular rabble), convenient locations, and bank policies. Just recently this branch would not cash a check from my insurance company for Helene damages, because they said my house is in a trust and "there was no trust account". That's right, there's no trust account, just me, and it's my name on the check and the trust. End of story. They chose to turn it into a big hassle, and I ended up having to get my insurance company to issue a check with only my name and not mentioning the property. This delayed repairs and caused me extra hassle and aggravation. The online services and phone customer service is appalling. Openly rude gen Zero jerks from NY is who you typically get - or people from the 3rd world whom you can't understand. In the past couple years there has been a regular issue with my account not balancing/being short due to discrepancies of anywhere from 3 to 20.00 that couldn't be accounted for anywhere. No matter how far I went back. You have to wonder if WF is siphoning off very small amounts of money from accounts, hoping people won't notice. It stopped when I started calling and requesting back statements in writing to examine. I have some installment plan payments coming out over the next month and a half, and when they are completed I'm finding a new bank. Which honestly I should have done years ago. WF is not an ethical org, and they seem to have actual contempt for their customers. read more

I had a business account in Panama City , Florida with Wells Fargo after they acquired Wachovia Bank back in 2005. I had this bank until 2012 when I was having a problem depositing large checks every week from one main customer that used different banks from time to time and was constantly having to have the Manager lift the holds. I moved on until now. Recently , my family started a new business in Panama City , Florida and my Mom is from LA but vacationing at her 2nd home outside of Brevard, N. Carolina . I drove up and we went to open a Wells Fargo account because this is the only bank that is in all 3 locations. Believe me, I tried to find a different bank in Panama City to avoid the branch in My own town. Anyways, I called first and talked to Rachel and she had my Mom and I come in and I had some of my LLC paperwork off a little bit but she brought in the manager Mickey and he talked to their Legal this last Friday afternoon and they accepted an Operating Agreement to further clarify the business. I needed this account open as we are closing escrow this week on a property and he suggested we drive over to Hendersonville, N. Carolina where they are open til 1pm on Saturday. So, we went over there and some of the staff from the Brevard office were there working and they remembered us from Brevard. We met Karen there and she helped us open our account. We went over 1 pm a little bit, but they were okay with it. The people that work at these 2 branches made up for my memories of dealing with Wells Fargo back when they took over Wachovia. Everyone I met reminded me of how banks used to be when they would walk up to you and say "hi" and ask you how you're doing - and really mean it. I hope that when I get back to Panama City , Florida. I get to have the same or even half of the reception that we felt here at these 2 branches We are very satisfied customers read more
