I'm extremely disappointed with Wells Fargo. I deposited a check from Northern Trust, and Wells Fargo claimed they were "waiting for verification." I called Northern Trust directly and was told the funds were already verified and paid out the same day. So why is Wells Fargo holding my money and lying to me? Their staff has given me the runaround with no straight answers. I believe I'm being racially profiled there is no other explanation for why I'm being treated with such suspicion and disrespect. read more

The two stars are for Rudy who was my banker and did his best to help me. I was trying to close an account of my moms who recently past away. The people in "the back office " made that as difficult as possible. It took 3 trips to Elmhurst until I finally said I'm not leaving without the check. This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I recommend to stay away. read more

This branch is just awful! You'd think that they would treat their customers as if they were special but no... the service is slow to see a banker and nobody seems to care. I came in to get a new ATM card and literally waited over an hour just to talk to a banker. I'm done with Wells Fargo. I've been with them for over 30 years but now I'm going to close my account and just go where customer service actually means something. read more

INCOMPETENT. I came in on time for my pre-scheduled appointment with a personal banker. Waited in the teller line for 20 minutes, due to their bottleneck system of check-ins. Was told to sit down. Sat for 1 hour and saw another customer who had an appointment meet with a personal banker first, even though he came in after me. The other patron complained more than me so I guess they wanted to reinforce that type of behavior by seeing him instead of me (who was sitting patiently). 80 minutes later I finally sat down with the personal banker. For another 20 minutes he made a series of phone calls and had to speak to other associates. After that he informed me that since their employee who has the notary is not in I could not open my business banking account today. I wasted an hour and 40 minutes just to find out I could not open a business account today and I'd have to make another appointment and come back ! My initial appointment should have never been made on a day that the notary employee wasn't present ! Total waste of time and lack of competence. I will be taking my business to another bank that can complete simple tasks in an efficient manner. read more

First off as we entered this Bank customers ahead of the wife and I was (B) and moaning a few walked out saying the same line "Why is it so hard to open a new bank account I've banked here for years" We arrived at 4:10 and were told by one banker we were too late to open up another account with them as well. The wife exited as previous customers and right at the door a banker MR RUDY SOLIS stopped us without being asked convinced us to stay Provided excellent service He Stayed a few minutes past closing to meet our needs covered every detail Most of all he followed company motto to the T He was respectful and most of all COURTEOUS Upper management should look into retraining I recommend MR SOLIS (5 stars) as the trainer I m sure this branch is losing tons of potential customers $$$$$$$ read more

As far as I can tell, this location doesn't have any drive-thru services and the ATM is located directly in front of the bank without anyway to keep people from seeing you enter your information unless you personally block it with your body. read more

NOTE TO STAFF: if you KNOW your banker wait times are pathetic....why in god's name wouldn't you SUGGEST to the person calling they make an APPOINTMENT? You've got to be kidding! You charge me 3.00 to use the ATM and when I come inside to break a 20, you tell me to get lost. How do you expect to get new customers if you offer nothing to them? If I were able to, Wells Fargo would receive a negative 100,000 stars from me. Never would I use this bank. Not only do they not have enough cyber security so that @ accounts were fraudulently opened in my name online, but I cannot even get them to close the accounts immediately even after having gone through the fraud investigation!!! I went to this location to open a checking account and let me tell you that it was one of the best customer service experiences I have received. I waited maybe 3 minutes at the most and the banker i dealt with was very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and really made me feel like they appreciated my business. Despite not having a large presence in the Chicago Market, we use Wells Fargo because we have lots of West Coast clients that we should product to. I typically use online and Mobile Banking however sometimes there is an absolute need to go into a branch. Wells Fargo's mobile app is decent and user-friendly. The branch however is a hit-or-miss. Sometimes I end up with the friendliest teller. Other times not so much. For example the last time I went in there, two tellers that were having a side conversation and they continued having the same conversation while barely acknowledging me. read more

I have absolutely fallen in love with Wells Fargo. Sure, they aren't nearly as common in the Chicagoland area but they are amazing! This branch is the closest to my house. The staff is incredibly friendly and always accommodating. They repeatedly go out of their way to fix every problem for you. Outside of the stellar customer service, what is making Wells Fargo so great? Let's start with the Jetson's style ATM at this branch. I received a stack of cash as a holiday gift. I didn't want to carry it in my wallet or even bring it home. I wanted to get it out of my hands as quickly as possible because cash makes me uncomfortable. I stop at the ATM hoping I can deposit it. Can I ever! The ATM will take up to, I believe, 50 bills and count them for you. It knows what the bill is and you do not even need to type in the deposit amount. I feed the machine the bills and it knew precisely how much I was depositing. It was some sort of magic! My other Wells Fargo rave revolves around what is called "SurePay". It allows me to send money to anyone with email or a mobile number at no cost to me. I can send $2,000 a day. If the person doesn't accept the money within 14 days, the money posts back to your account. If the person has accepted money from you once, the system will automatically accept every time in the future. Why is this so amazing? I first tested this out by sending my boyfriend $25. He was able to accept and it showed up in his bank account within 2 days. Pretty neat. It's even more neat for us. I do not drive and his bank is across the street from our house. When I really need cash, I can send him some money and he will go grab it. I never have to give him my PIN again, have him think someone will see the tapes and believe he stole my card, or worry about how I am going to get money if he won't be home until late and I have to work in the morning. This has become a life saver for me. All in all, switching to Wells Fargo is probably the best move you could make. I could not encourage it more! read more

If I was able to give no stars I would. Wells Fargo Bank is tge most horrible bank I ever had to deal with. Especially when it comes to Dealership loan side. This bank is so unwilling to help out a person that they'll argue with a person and get snotty. My car was in a accident in December so I missed the payment do to I use to the payment for the deductible. However because my grandfather co signed for me, they wouldn't grant either was one of us the extention. They always say they're willing help out there customers, but that's all BS. They wanted over 1,400 dollars. Needless to say we didn't have it. So for the rep to tell us that they'll come get the car is horrible, but to at its 6 other cars that have to be picked up is telling you one thing about Wells Fargo. There a crappie bank and don't want to work out an agreement with there customers during these hard times. read more
