Made an appointment for 2:30pm today. I overestimated my time and arrived about 30-45 minutes early. No biggie. I came in and sat in the waiting area for my appointment. Mind you, I am the only person waiting at this time. There was 1 employee helping a customer and it was it. So I was playing on my phone and a gentleman (employee) come up asked if I had a question or an appointment. By this time it was approximately 2:05pm. I said I had a 2:30pm appointment but I was really early. He replied that I can just relax and walked away. Ok then About 3 minutes later, an elderly lady, and her relative (daughter maybe?) came in and started to look for an employee. The relative said that they would probably have to wait for an employee to notice them. About 10 seconds later, same gentleman came out and ask how he could help? The elderly lady states she has been a long time customer and a former WF employee of 32 years. Also, she had a check for $447,000.00 from selling her house. The relative states they couldn't get an appointment and that is why they are coming in. Well, that is all he needed to hear. He was an ass kisser! Well, this gentleman identifies himself as the manager! And he would gladly help them right away! And away they went to his office. Ummmm, what?! About 5 minutes later Another employee (female) just asked when my appointment was and said Serena will be right with me. I was perfectly content waiting for my 2:30pm. Just irks me that I was dismissed and I am the one with the appointment. That I came from Manteca to Modesto which in the grand scheme of things is not that bad, and waited a week for this appointment. There was nothing sooner or closer. read more

I am Wells Fargo Bank customer for more than 35 years. Customer services have been declining in my opinion since the leadership changed and possibly staffing shortages as well. Today, I went to bank to ask for an assistance. I was assured that the Banker will call me by end of the day. Towards end of the day I called to check. I was bluntly told they have no time to help and who told me that they will call me back. I think its the time for me to change the bank as there are many more banks in town. read more

This branch location always has a line going out the door and I can see why. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure customers are happy and on track with their banking. I am helping a friend who was getting scammed and one of their specialists absolutely saved her with suggestions and direction about how to report these predators and stop the problems. Horrible branch, I had a check from a COVID 19 Rent relief program and the manager Araceli proceeded to state my check was fraud and they were unable to deposit it. I went to a different location and I had no issues whatsoever. She spoke to me in spanish maybe thinking we didn't speak english and made me feel discriminated. She asked so many questions regarding the check and had me waste more than 1 hour of my time. Will definitely not be returning, save your time and visit the branch on Mchenry! read more

LONG Line EVERY Month for that last several months, actually for the last two years or so. What? They can't find ANYONE to be a Teller any more??? TWO Tellers out of TEN Windows pretty much EVERY time I go in there. Rarely three, sometimes ONE. I have to go in for a Cashier's Check every month. Wells Fargo charges less than Bank of America for them, but MORE than some other Banks. TODAY, the teller put the name already on the Cashier's Check. I was last year told that it HAS to be in the name of the account holder buying the Cashier's Check, so which is it? Then she said she had to see my Driver's License. It was the very first time for that. Then she didn't hear me any of the times I tried to tell her to change the Memo on it..... It just took a REALLY long time, so no wonder it was taking so long with EVERY single person in line. March 4, 2022 2 tellers for 12 people. There is a line spanning from one end of the building to the other. There are two windows open working with customers with lengthy transactions. They opened 1 1/2 hours ago and they are already putting people on break. Really? Had 3 windows open for a split second. Been here for 1/2 hour and not even close to the front. I went to withdraw money from our business account and the teller asks me where did this money came from? I said from customers, she said yes but why are they paying you? I said because we have a business. She said I need to figure out where is the money coming from before letting you withdraw. It's my money!!! If you want to come here to wait over 30 minutes to do some deposits then this is the place to be as a business customer I expect to be in and out hassle free as I have customers waiting for me at my office. Waited over 25 minutes in the business line with no consideration from the other tellers (by other tellers I mean serving the non business customers) l. Their was one lady helping out business customers and about 4 other tellers helping normal checking account customers in the regular line .One of the customers went to the teller and pointed out that I had been waiting a VERY long time. Last visit also their computers were down adding to the wait and even In The business line the tellers helped out more customers in the normal line then the business line. The Wells Fargo on McHenry across from guitar center always helps me out super quick having me in and out in 10 minutes tops. read more

I had no clue what paperwork was required but Alejandra made it super easy and streamlined by providing me detailed descriptions of exactly what was needed. I've been open a year now and Alejandra continues to make herself very accessible whenever I have questions or additional banking needs. Disappointed. I brought in a tattered $20 bill but more than half the bill remained. Most banks will replace a bill if half remains. The woman looked at me like I was a thief and refused to replace it. The Bank of America across the street was happy to replace the bill. read more

Went in here to withdraw $1500 from my checking and the cashier told me she needed a manager override . The manager then proceeded to harass me and tell me that they were verifying I was who I said I was. Keep in mind the had my drivers license and social security number and my pin for my debit card. The manager was extremely rude and refused to give me my own cash claiming that since I wasnt from Modesto that she cant trust that my Info is correct! Worst experience in a bank in my entire life. Will be filing a formal complaint with corporate and canceling my act and switching to chase. read more

When a manager harasses and questions a customer's business and refuses to give the money that is needing to be withdrawn, there is something WRONG WOTH THE MANAGEMENT. Especially after the identification is confirmed in all aspects, it should never be an issue. And no matter what, especially if you are a manager of a business, YOU DO NOT BE RUDE. PERIOD. For over 3 years I've done merchant business at this branch location and the staff has always been nice and courteous. However, recently I had my wallet and keys stolen inside of this branch location by another merchant within minutes after I finished my transaction. Needless to say it's been a headache just trying to get the footage to be turned over to the police. Have been using this branch for about 11 years now. They did close down for awhile but opened back up. Sure made things easier than going to McHenry Village. Have always recieved good service here. The staff is always smilling. Sometimes I wonder if those smiles are painted on. Always wondered why when people smile like that all day long why they don't end up looking like the Joker. read more

Been using this branch for a year or so, the employees are really nice and like the other review said they are always smiling even after a long day it does make you wonder if it's a nice gesture or if it's painted on! They have enough tellers to make the line go really fast so that's a great thing! So why the 4 stars? Well since I have a mortgage with them they offered me to open a free checking account so I did, it made more sense to put money in the account instead of having to go to two different banks (since I didn't bank here previously) after 3 months I seen on my statement that they were deducting $10 each month (although it was a free checking account & no fees if you have a mortgage with them) so I marched my happy butt to the bank to see what these charges were for. One employee explained to me that it's because I didn't check my statement online (that didn't make sense to me when I got paper statements sent to my house) another employee didn't understand what I was talking about, and then the other employee that came up to me said its because I didn't check my account online, and I didn't use my ATM card 2 times during the month! So I was tried of hearing different excuses and I decided to close the account. The next month I went to pay my mortgage the teller asked if I wanted to open a free account, I basically laughed and told her no explained to her what happened and she said she didn't understand why they would do that, I have a mortgage with them so it shouldn't have happened and that's exactly what I was explained when I opened the account, oh well! It's a nice bank, always clean inside and I will use it strictly for my mortgage only! read more

This Wells Fargo is great. Their customer service is very good, in fact, it's sometimes overkill. I generally use their merchant teller to process my transactions, and there is never more than 1-2 people in line. The tellers do a great job and are very personable. Parking is is usually pretty good, but can get a little chaotic with three different driveways leading into the bank parking lot. To see a banker can sometimes take longer than normal though. Nice waited over 30 minutes one time. read more

the bank teller jessica with the glasses and nose ring was not having a great start to her day. she was extremely rude and fails to make eye contact with people as if she's afraid of something. she's in customer service yet she seems to be lacking basic communication skills. i would have understood the attitude if it was almost closing time and she had a long shift but how can jessica have such a horrible attitude when the bank opened 30 minutes ago. just quit your job if you hate it, don't take it out on the customers. read more

very disappointed with the teller this morning.( this is in modesto ,Ca Dale rd branch.) I've been banking with Well's Fargo for over 25yrs.Every December for Christmas, I go to the bank and get cash for Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews. So this morning I did I withdrew $ in different denominations. I asked the teller named Ana to try to give me a cleaner and crispier bills because I will be giving this as a cash gift. She said " I'll see what I have". she opened her money drawer and get the cash, did not even pick and chose a better ones. then she proceeded to say, "is there anything else I can do for you?". and I said I wish you would give me what I requested, a cleaner an crispier bill. she just completely ignored me. These five stars are for Albert Jimenez who made the process of closing out my current business account and setting up a new one due to fraud, as painless and quick as possible. When I initially walked in, Adam (I believe that was his name- level 2 banker /investment rep, cubicle on the right) asked what I needed and upon finding out there was no commission or sales to be made, lied to my face and said he couldn't help me bc he had an appointment in 20 minutes at the downtown branch that he had to get to and my issue would take between 20-45 minutes. Fine, no problem, not thrilled about the wait, but didn't expect any special treatment over another customer. A few minutes later , Albert comes out to greet me and is pleasant as can be, reassuring me that we will get this taken care of ASAP so I can be on my way. I couldn't help but notice that as time was passing, the first guy who greeted me and was now sitting just a few feet from me, was making no efforts to leave to make his downtown appt. Shortly after I sat down, a lady was looking to open a new account and somehow,miraculously, he was available for that. My background is in sales/finance/ customer service and I understand it is OBVIOUSLY preferable to take a new client vs serving an existing one, but to lie to my face like that was ridiculous. I would have understood had he just said I needed to wait for Albert or another rep. I have credit cards, merchant services, my auto loan, all my & my kids personal & business accounts through Wells, basically my whole financial life. Investment is the next step and I know who I WONT be going to see based off of my experience last week. Anyhow, I apologize for going off on a tangent, I didn't realize how irked I was by the situation until I started writing this review. Back to the branch- Albert is fantastic and a great asset to this team. I have never had an unpleasant experience prior to this minor one at this branch and drive all the way from Ripon even though I have one a few miles closer in Manteca. They're never terribly busy, parking & access to the building in general is a breeze. It's a very small branch and I much prefer this to the downtown location. read more
