She quoted them closing costs of under $500. My parents applied for the loan and then after a couple weeks, Danelle informed them that the closing costs were $667. When pressed, Danelle said, "That is what they came back at, but the loan still has to go through a couple more people first." So they might even been higher than $667. I'm writing this yelp review because my wife and I promised to pay my parents' closing costs since they are doing us a favor by applying for this loan and helping us with a down payment. I will be reporting First Citizens and Ms. Brinkly to the CFPB and encourage you to shop elsewhere for a loan.

She was 93 years old and had diffuculty moving, they still made me bring her in person to work on the account even with a general power of attorney. Local people had no idea and had to call someone else and would get back to us. Finally they said it was only good for some things on the account. I live 5 hours away and had to drive down to do all the account work in person before I was able to do anything online. Sadly she passed away and once again, everything is in person paperwork and nothing online, even the final check for her IRA, with us as the beneficiary, is through the mail (we have postal issues at our town) and cannot setup direct deposit or even drive down to pick it up.

With unexplained limits on online transfers. The tellers smirk at you. I get treated like a criminal for depositing checks into my own account. Banking here has been problematic for a number of reasons for years. The lectures I get about how the check I am trying to deposit is probably fake are fun too. (no check I have ever deposited was in fact fake nor was there any reason to believe that they would be). Too many mistakes and problems for an account with so few transactions. Better training of staff and bringing this credit union into the 20th century would help
