Wells Fargo Bank is open six days a week with Monday through Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-12pm. I am aware that this location can be hectic on Saturday. If you need to withdraw money with a teller my suggestion is to go there the weekday, not on Saturday. This Wells Fargo location is hectic. Pinole and El Cerrito are the only location that is open on Saturday. Hercules location is not open on Saturday. People are wondering if Wells Fargo will extend their hours on Saturday. With the pandemic that occurred in 2020 it is best for this location to keep the hours. I do not have a problem with Pinole location. I have gotten great service with Pinole location. When there was no line and I was able to see a teller I was able to have my $20 bill converted to four $5 bills. The teller was not annoy and was able to give me $5s from a $20 bill. I have gone to other banks that are not willing to break a $20 and give you $1s and $5s. Having a Wells Fargo Bank next to a Panera Bread is a curse. I have no excuse to go to Wells Fargo to withdraw money and pay cash at Panera Bread. I love that this location has the ATM that can withdraw $1s and $5s instead of $20s. A fast and easy way to come inside and get out right away instead of falling in line to see a teller. I do feel the complaints about this location but I don't think giving this location a poor review will do anything to change the bank. read more

I would give ZERO STARS if I could. The office manager here is Victor Mercado, and although this review is not for him specifically, it is regarding his weekend staff. As a former banking manager and Wells Fargo client for over 15 years, I waited over an hour (along with other clients) for service to OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT, which many bankers are there to do to provide SALES & SERVICE. The bankers obviously wanted to leave for the weekend off because once 12pm hit, the said to u "who said you'd get helped today?" As if we weren't sitting there for OVER AN HOUR. I've never had a problem with this bank, even when they have the most ridiculous rush hours. And the branch manager was the the banker who first helped me open my account as a teenager. Today though, I call ahead because they're the only Wells Fargo in my area that have foreign currency. I call to ask if they have the specific amount of money I need, they say yes; come straight to the business window. I get there at 2:20pm, and what do you know, the teller I need JUST went on her lunch, AND NOT ONE person can help me. I'm on a time limit, and not ONE of these incompetent managers are trained to do it, and "the other two foreign currency tellers are off today." DONT YOU THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE ALL TYPES OF TELLERS AT ALL BUSINESS TIMES?? AND TO COVER EACH OTHER??? To top it off, the "manager" has the audacity to ask me in a condescending ass tone if I'm a Wells Fargo member. The cute Asian banker that assisted me was helpful, friendly, and very polite. She broke down the pro's and con's of the different services they offered and helped me choose what was right for me. I rarely go inside the branch because every transaction possible can be done on their sophisticated ATMs or on their well-designed website. First of all, I have had my home loan through Wells Fargo for many years, and couple of personal accounts as well. I have gone to various branches around the county I live in, based on the fact that I am always out and about. The PINOLE branch is the absolute worst! I feel like I'm giving them too much credit with a one-star review. Today, I went to see a banker that I had talked to yesterday about signing a form to get a new interest rate promotion that apparently, I could not sign up for 3 days prior when I made a deposit to qualify for this promo rate because this one person wasn't working that day. Really? Since when do promotional offers need to be verified by one and only one person? Whatever! So as usual, the wait to see someone was ridiculously long which is always the case at this branch! ALWAYS!!! I entered to a long line and no greeter. Sometimes they have a security guard and a greeter at the door, but not this time. So I stood there for several minutes before an employee that was coming out from the back to go outside asked if I was being helped. I told her that I was here to sign a form with the woman I had spoken to yesterday. She went and told her that I was here and then told me to have a seat.... 40 minutes later, I'm still sitting there and still have not been greeted or acknowledged by anyone, including the now two greeters at the front door who apparently were to busy talking to each other than to find out why I was sitting around for so long. I was eventually asked if I needed help nearly an hour after my arrival, and explained that I was waiting for the banker I talked to the day before, who I was told was still with someone but aware that I was waiting. I soon noticed one of the greeters continually going behind me as I texted a family member who was waiting in the car, the reason why I was taking so long in this bank. After raising my phone to take a picture of the outrageously large crowd/line, this little greeter troll decided to pop up out of nowhere to tell me that I'm not allowed to take pictures in the bank. I politely said "ok", and he continued to rudely go on and on about it, ending with "don't do it again" as if he was my daddy or something. I decided to include that picture with this review to show how the line is always here! Whether it's 9am or night, you are gonna be waiting. There is a fake feeling of sarcastic friendliness that is embarrassingly obvious, and this place feels very unprofessional. The longer you bank here, you will learn to tell the differences between the people that are hard workers and those others that are hardly ever working. Thankfully, I have recently paid off my home loan, and will soon be moving my money out to a different bank where they can appreciate their customers more. Also, I have on occasion went to the branch in Walnut Creek and their customer service and professionalism is amazing. The comparison between the two branches are completely opposite. Do not bank at the PINOLE Wells Fargo branch. They don't deserve your business. read more

I'm sure you've all read about the 5,000 plus Wells Fargo employees that just got fired for pulling the SAME crap I'd detailed in my review from 2010 (please check out my previous review that I am updating). TOO BAD IT TOOK THEM SO LONG TO GET THEIR CHOPS BUSTED!!!! Sadly, I don't blame the employees, even though they had to know what they were doing was 110% wrong - this was systemic, and management knew this was going on. Its ultimately the fault of Wells Fargo from a very high level - when you hold your employees to unrealistic expectations of selling more "product" per week or per day than is realistic, you open the door to employees pulling shenanigans that screw over your customers. This is a sad statement to how this business is run. :( On a side note, if you are in this area and use Wells Fargo, I recommend banking in the Wells Fargo location located in the Raley's in San Pablo rather than this Pinole Vista location - the customer service is 1000x better. read more

I generally don't have a problem with this bank. I only go here for my job bank runs. I stand in the merchant line and usually get served promptly. The tellers are almost always happy and helpful. Today I had to wait a half hr in the merchant line and with one other person ahead of me. There were 3 tellers constantly taking the other line and 1 merchant teller with a guest. The non merch line had maybe 3 people in it at any given time. A merchant should be given priority due to having to leave their business. read more

Then there is a security guard that was allowing a certain number of customers that left her post so 5 customers just walk right in. Wells Fargo sucks. My girlfriend was trying to cash her payroll check from Wells Fargo and they needed two forms of ID. Even though we only had one form of their acceptable forms of ID we had plenty of verification that she was the payee and other forms that the government would take. But instead of making an exception (made 2 trips because they don't even explain what the acceptable forms of ID ARE) they were rude. This branch is rude and doesn't explain anything. She would've happily opened an account if it wasn't for all the hidden fees and blocks put on cards for no reason and if they had even offered. read more

I deposited a check from a STATE agency, AFTER I was on the phone with an agent all the way up until I parked at the bank. The Wells Fargo representative on the telephone ASSURED me what would be available that day and then when the remainder of funds would be available. I felt confident enough to deposit the check into my account, knowing that my funds would be available the next day. I went back to work, got online and started paying bills like a mad woman, knowing that this money would be available the next morning, But OH on this morning the funds were not there! I called the bank at 0530, and they said I need to contact the issuer of the check. I did just that and the check was good and ready to deposit. I called the bank back, they said even though they will try to process it before then, and even if they get the funds before then, that the funds STILL will not be released until the hold release date. I am very upset about this. And each representative I talked to was really non chalant about it. Even after I told them that it's going to be a full basketball championship game with checks bouncing everywhere! read more

I don't normally like to go inside the bank and do a transaction if I can help it. This is mostly to avoid lines and the pushy tellers who instead of just processing my transaction and getting me out of there, would rather try to sell me one of their products. I am usually always in a hurry and my last experience there wasn't pleasant. It left a damper on this branch in particular. I will continue to try and avoid going inside and always using the ATM machine instead of trying to pry a pushy teller off me and then telling me that I must not want to save money or so forth. When I went there to deposit a check from my job, I had asked one of the tellers if there was any other negative balances in my account and she informed me there wasn't. The next day I find out I did still have a negative balance and they had charged me and additional over draft fee. When I came in today some Asian bitch teller was trying to tell me that I didn't deposit anything to try to fix it and when I told her what happened the previous day she still wasn't understanding or trying to help the situation. The absolute worst banking experience every time. This branch is very small and every single time I walk in this branch there are multiple people standing waiting to greet customers. Why so many people? They ask how can they help? Open a teller window and begin transacting in my response. Having a clan of "suits" guard the door is uncomfortable, unnecessary & confusing. It makes me feeling under watch. Why is this necessary? This branch is always crowded & slow...note to self....don't go here anymore. This Wells Fargo had been around as long as I can remember. Went here with my parents before I had my account. I never had to go into the main part of the bank but I have stopped by the ATMs. Always seem to be people here no matter what time of the day. Parking in front if the ATM is always packed but people who aren't using the ATMs park there , even though it says ATM parking only. Parking otherwise is decent - except for now that Panera Bread is right next door - but some how, oddly enough works out. read more

Even with remodeling and construction, the private parking lot is still difficult to maneuver in, especially on weekends. It does get crowded, and once one person messes up the flow of traffic, you may find yourself waiting in traffic limbo for a few minutes. Regardless, the building looks so much nicer now after the renovation. It has an overall cleaner and more modern look. There are four ATM machines outside, which is very convenient when you don't want to stand in line inside. I typically take care of all of my transactions at the ATM. The ATM area is also covered by glass panels, which I benefit from on rainy days. I usually don't find myself waiting very long to use the ATM, if at all. I've barely gone inside since the renovation, but I've passed by some workers who were very kind. Sometimes, they'll ask if I'd like to be helped inside if they see me waiting in line for the ATM. This branch has improved greatly aesthetically over the years. I just wish the private lot was planned out more carefully. read more
