I was able to spend some time here again when I was back in Chicago and thoroughly enjoyed myself! The food was delicious and bloom bar was such a beautiful touch. You get to build your own bouquet while enjoying a live saxophonist. The service, ambiance, decor, and all the things were so good! The shrimp and grits...chefs kiss! I can't wait to go back.

I came here for a birthday brunch. The music was great, the waitress was friendly, the food was great. The saxophonist even serenaded the birthday girl. We had a great time. I found parking a half of block away.

What a beautiful Tavern! Such a lively and chill tavern to know. Very happy with the welcome by Tiffany! Such a bright and loving host. The downstairs was busy and we were informed by Tiffany of what the night held but we were actually there for the nurses and hospitality appreciation week. Since I'm a caretaker and the espresso martinis were 7 bucks I had to take advantage of this. We were directed to the elevator and were surprised to see another lovely floor that was a beautiful lounge. The bartender Kayla was sweet and made the best espresso martinis!

Beautiful interior. Great happy hour. $1 wings were a steal and so so so delicious. Very saucy and the flavors were immaculate. Lots of meat on the bones too. Service was friendly but understaffed. We ended up having 3 different servers come by as there seemed to be confusion on who was covering our table after not seeing anyone come by for a bit. There was another person who sat down at the table next to us, who didn't get a server come up to her for over 20 minutes. We came within their first week of opening, so I think the kinks were still getting figured out. With proper staffing this place would be a hit! It's a nice elevated choice with reasonable prices for River North!

Food was outstanding during Brunch! The drinks were superb. The staff was super courteous and attentive. The Sax player made our outing excellent, great music and eats. Try it out!

I had the pleasure of attending Rafa's Grand Opening with my mother before she passed from cancer and we ran into so many familiar faces! One of them being an elementary teacher of ours which was absolutely delightful. I had the burger which was delicious but what really stood out to me was the quality of the drinks. The old fashion is the best in the Midwest so please stop by and witness one of Pilsen's finest do his thing in this beautiful establishment

I ordered The Vig burger. It was nice and juicy. I wish they'd asked how I wanted the burger done (it was more pink than I'd have liked) but it was still tasty! I loved the bun too. Any sides are extra so that was a bummer but the burger was plenty. Service was great. They were really patient while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. The payment app made it super easy for everyone to pay for their own portion. Restrooms were clean! I'm rarely in Old Town but would hit up The Vig again for happy hour or a casual group hang.

It was either cookie cutter 20-somethings steeped in Lulemon or Alo on their way to the gym or yoga, or the couple and their dog. Service was excellent, and food was very tasty. The menu has a number of traditional items along with some of specialties that we didn't try. Inside the restaurant is a large bar and wall with multiple TVs, so I imagine it's a packed weekend lunch and dinner crowd particularly on game day. Ultimately, this is probably a regular hotspot for the neighborhood and not a bad place if I do say so myself.

There is an upstairs area that's a little more loungier whereas the downstairs can get more rowdy on game day. We came during the championship game, and this was the perfect spot to be. We came early to be able to snag some bar seats upstairs and enjoy multiple drinks and food. Drinks are great - some cocktails and beers are only offered downstairs. Food was a mix: Chimichurri cauliflower: smaller portion than I expected, nothing special I'd skip this dish. Ceasar salad: dressing is very heavy on the anchovy paste, otherwise good portion and veggies. Loaded fries: huge portion with lots of great toppings, though I wish their fries were more 'fry' like versus potato skin-like. Chicken tenders: I got this with sweet potato fries, and they were way too salty. The chicken tenders were 4 skimpy pieces of chicken, and I was charged for extra dipping sauces and ketchup. The spicy mango habanero and buffalo are good - skip the garlic parmesan. I will most definitely be back for the vibes, drinks, and service. I'm hoping the food is just working on some kinks and will get better the next time!

I think there were some kind of corporate happy hour happening in the back, but a friend and myself just came in for quick drinks. I usually don't drink on the weekdays, so I ended up just getting an iced tea and him a tequila soda, but because I don't drink, we decided to get an appetizer and we browsed the menu for a minute and ended up splitting the Parmesan chicken egg rolls. Truthfully, I really just wanted to see what that would entail because it seemed a little disgusting or maybe even some kind of high-food, but to my surprise, it was actually a really crispy skinned pizza roll. I'm pretty sure it had been previously frozen, but in that moment- served with a side of marinara, I didn't really care. It was full of gooey melted mozzarella cheese and almost like a breaded chicken nugget center. Pretty decent as far as bar food goes. They also had crab rangoon to which I thought, "hmm are they doing a little too much?!" I'm sure drunk me would have gotten them years ago so what can ya do. Overall, quite a positive experience. The bartender was really sweet and everything wasn't super expensive. I've been in the neighborhood for such a long time, but I've actually never been here and I'm glad I came on a night that it wasn't chaotic.
