Dr. Neiberg at Wellspring is amazing! He's very knowledgeable, with so much experience. Does what's best for the patient and follows through. If he hadn't been persistent about getting the testing needed, I'm not sure how long it would have taken to find out about my husband's tumor. He not only fought for us with that but made sure he sent us the best neurosurgeon in the area. Has staying active in my husband's recovery and even now helping with the insurance company when we're being denied. So helpful and caring! A true blessing!! And of course the nurse practitioner Abby was also great with getting the scan process pushed forward! And the nurse.. Irene is always so helpful and caring! I really don't know where we would be without them!!! read more

Honestly this place sucks I'm sick of having to make appointments and then waiting up to an hour to be seen. I shouldn't be getting here 10 minutes prior to the appointment and watch as multiple people get called up before I do. ( when they have an appointment time after me ) This is the second time this has happened to me and I wouldn't recommend coming here if it was the last place on earth. It seems that they want you to sign papers about no shows but when you try over and over and you and your husband leave not only one message but several and you don't get a answer back something is telling you something about the office of this place or the phone line or they are dealing with to many patients for the office to handle. I like my doctor. I just don't care for the carelessness. He has helped me with my pain. But if this is how office staff is. I feel sorry for other patients. read more

Wellspring continues to amaze me as being the most mismanaged, mis-staffed group of non-professional and even scary medical professionals anywhere in the land. I truly believe that continuing with this company is a hazard to my health. Therefore, I have gladly moved my business, my family, and my employees to another personal MD that does video appointments and actually "is" a doctor, not a nurse practitioner, that calls you and will see you in person on or around the time that you make your appointment. They are a jack leg office if you ask me. A doctor's office needs to ANSWER THE FREAKING PHONE and they almost NEVER do ! What the heck is wrong ? Does their main office know about this ? Went to Wellspring after getting turned away from MedExpress in Culpeper. They brought me in right away (I was dizzy) and four doctors attended and took incredible care of me. O e doctor was so cheery and friendly! They were really attentive and charged less than MedExpress would because they charge as primary care. I highly recommend this place!!! read more

I should have done my research and taken note of the one star rating this practice has. I have been dealing with the pain management clinic for a chronic back injury. There has been zero follow up. By zero I mean not one phone call to the nurses line has ever been returned, not one phone call from the pharmacy regarding my medications has been returned. Furthermore, I have been unable to schedule my second round of injections as ordered by the doctor because, you guessed it, no one returns my calls. I informed the doctor at my last appointment that I am in much worse pain after the first round of injections than I was prior to having the procedure done which he informed me is normal. He told me to do a second, and likely a third round of injections to get my pain under control. Yet here I sit, a month after attempting to start the process (it's basically referring me to the surgeon who performs the procedure, which, mind you, is right down the hall from this horrid practice). I am now attempting to leave the practice but thus far, not surprisingly, I have been unable to get my records forwarded to the new practice I am attempting to move to. I have been lied to..."we mailed a copy of your records to you" as opposed to doing the norm and faxing them to the other doctors office as they requested. I now have to drive from my job in Manassas and pull what my kids call a "Karen" on the poor receptionist. Dealing with this so called pain management clinic has been one of the most incredibly stressful things I have ever dealt with. It is disheartening to see a group of people who went into the business of caring for others exhibit the exact opposite. That being a total lack of compassion and out and out neglect over ones health and well being. Please do not go to this practice. My previous review posted on 2/23/22 is nowhere to be found so here it is again - hope it shows up this time because people need to know about this place! Three strikes, you're out. Arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment with Dr. Babar. A full hour plus later, he was still in with a patient and there was another person in front of me. I was advised it would be another 30 minutes. Well, I'm sorry, but I had horrible experiences twice before with this Wellspring practice and I'm done being treated like a faceless, unimportant number that is only good for generating $. The first NP I saw back in December was about as personable as a blank sheet of paper and was flat, personality-less and wanted to throw prescriptions at me rather than listen. She suggested vaccines (no thanks), tests, more bloodwork (just had some) and I left feeling like who I was didn't matter in the absolute least to anyone in that office. Individual care? HA! It was like a factory. Tried to see an endocrinologist today for my Hashimoto's, and had another horrible experience. When I walked in I was told I owed $125 for a missed appointment. Um...I absolutely positively cancelled that in plenty of time and have the phone records to prove it. They didn't charge me for that, and the front desk person I spoke with was nice about it, but it was another strike. Waiting in my "absolutely required" mask for over an hour, only to be told there was still another patient in front of me and that he wasn't finished with the one he had in his office and it would be another at least 30 minutes...I'm done. I know there have to be far better offices, doctors, staff, our there somewhere, and I'm done with Wellspring and am off to find them. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Horrible experiences. Is absolutely recommend going elsewhere and saving yourself time, money, and aggravation. I asked for my $80 copay to be refunded and it darn well better be. 3/10/22 UPDATE. After being told that the bogus made-up $125 missed appointment charge had been removed from my account on 2/23, I received a bill today 3/10 for the $125. I called Privia billing and was told that the issue needed to be handled by the office and that they would initiate the request with them. I called the office to make sure that this charge had been removed from my account and that that information to that effect was in my chart dated 2/23. I was told that they (Wellspring) could not do anything about the charge, that I'd have to speak with Privia. I'm sorry, if you CREATED the bogus charge, how does a separate billing company have the ability to REMOVE it? I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD SUCH HORRIBLY INCOMPETENT, RUDE, INEFFECTIVE, SHADY, UNETHICAL AND DOWNRIGHT HORRIBLE "SERVICE" AS I HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO BY THIS COMPANY. Do NOT even think of going to Wellspring if you value honesty, fair treatment, a good value, good providers, and integrity, and pleasant staff. NEGATIVE 10 STARS. OH...and they also keep texting me and calling me about an "appointment I have scheduled on 3/18. Again, I never MADE this appointment and certainly would not ever wish to be seen by any providers here again after my experience on 2/23 (which was the last in a list of negative experiences). I told them SPECIFICALLY on 2/23 that I was NOT rescheduling, was leaving the practice entirely, and expected my $80 co-pay to be refunded (it was). Do these people have ANY idea of who they are seeing on what date and who they are billing for what? Seems not. It seems they make it all up and hope for the best. I'd give this place and each of their locations in Culpeper 0 stars. I've been going to this place for a few years. Dr. Medimpudi and a nurse they had named Heather, had me on the wrong meds. There was a LPN that finally got me on the correct meds named Stacey. Last Friday drew the line for me. I was dropped off by my husband for a drive thru appt. I informed a nurse out there about my appt. She appeared to have an attitude and went back inside. When it was my time, she still didn't acknowledge me. Not to mention, it was humid out. I asked her if it's my turn, how come she isn't seeing me? She had no answer, she rolled her eyes and said, "You're invading patient privacy." When there wasn't any appt being conducted for anyone at that time. Just a car pulling into the drive thru. I was highly upset. I walked away and called my husband to come get me and informed him what had happened. He pulled in and told me to get into the car. He went inside, complained to the staff, and left. I ended up going to a UVA location. I NEVER received an apology. The DISRESPECTFUL nurse had dark, wavy hair. I hope she gets fired. This place can't even keep respectful staff. There was about a year gap that I quit going to this place because Stacey Ratigan was the only one who seemed competent & respectful. She was on leave or left. Coincidentally, later on that afternoon, I had an appt at their specialty clinic across from the hospital. I checked in and was later greeted by a woman with gray hair, that asked me if I had clearance for my upper respiratory symptoms. I had told her, I had been seen elsewhere through UVA and was diagnosed with bronchitis caused by allergies. She told me based on what my husband did that morning, I was dismissed. And that she was "just a receptionist". I wonder why there are so many receptionists in that office, considering, they're not busy. One was talking trash about teenage girls that use social media. Wellspring just needs to pack up and leave town. They are such a eye sore compared to UVA. Just like I heard Stacey say, "I don't know where some people get their medical degree." Mind you, when I took one of my kids there when he was walking, they wanted to weigh him on the baby scale. Just go elsewhere! read more

Let me start by saying the only reason I stay at wellspring is because of my AWESOME Pediatrician, otherwise I strongly dislike this place, the receptionists are always so rude, they always have an attitude no matter what question you ask, they always wanna put you on hold and never pick up the phone, not to mention, they Make you be seen outside, you don't get a good look and feel for a patient outside, they don't seem to care outside and it's extremely frustrating, I try not to go there unless I absolutely have too, otherwise I avoid at all costs, they need to train their staff to be NICE! read more

I googled doctors offices near me, this place comes up with a Local phone number and a Local address, so I called to book the appointment I called back when I realized it was in Culpeper, so that was strike one it's not that hard to update your address, especially when I called back, the person I spoke to said they hadn't been local for TWO YEARS!!! I had an appointment with Dr. Sealander this past Friday 12/20/19 at 6:30 pm. I have been having pain in my neck for about 9 months and I think that my primary doctor in Warrenton has not paid proper attention to my condition, therefore, I decided to find another doctor, and Wellspring seemed a good option. People at the front desk were great, I have not complaints about them. On the other hand I experience the worst attention I've ever had with a doctor. Dr. Sealander did not introduce himself, instead complained because it was late on Friday and did not understand why I was visiting him (people at the front desk offered me that hour). He was rude, arrogant and completely prejudged me even before he came in to meet me (when he read the reason of my visit). I will never come back to see him again. read more

Overall, a very poor experience. I arrived early. When I tried to check in, the receptionist refused to acknowledge me at all. After waiting half an hour, I returned to the desk to see if I was going to be see. At that point I was told the doctor was running late. It was well over an hour before I even saw the doctor, who made no apology or explanation. He asked the same generic questions that his nurse has just asked, and if he listened to anything I said, I would be astonished. He gave no sign of it. No one there treated my as an individual. I was a generic block stuck into a time slot, and I was given generic advice. I ended up leaving feeling utterly demoralized and angry. I cried in my car. I wish I could feel optimistic about finding someone else, but I don't want to see any more 'health care providers' ever again read more

My Mother came in from GA after 5 months of not fixing her falling issues. After 4 days the Fantastic team at Wellspring had a very good handle of the issue. Thank you Dr Stergis for finding what needed to be done right away! Things are going so well she can go back to GA, we all feel it is safe for her to go back home. The receptionists there are HORRIBLE, they are always so rude, they have a sign now that says NO tolerance policy, I'm sorry but you work with the public and if your rude to me I will be rude back, also I hate that I have to make appts for the drive thru- they cannot do a good job assessing the child or even yourself outside. This is the worst place my husband and I have ever gone to! They do not return calls, forget to call the scripts in that are needed to control BP and are extremely unorganized. We have called numerous times over two weeks and have not received a call back. Test results were never uploaded into the portal as requested. I went in with sores all over my face and they tried to tell me it was just really bad acne (as someone who grew up with cystic acne and routinely went to a dermatologist, I know what really bad acne looks like.) They messed up the ICD.10 codes and I've been tying to get them to fix that, which they have yet to do. I have been dealing with their billing department for the last 4 months, and they still have NOT done their job. In fact, they even left me a voicemail stating that they "forgot about me". I have been visiting this location for about three years now I just recently had a baby, and because my two older sons are patients here I thought it would be best for us all to go to the same location however, we missed an appoint one time but since all three of my sons were scheduled they dismissed us as three no shows which does not make any since. gran it I did get a new number so a phone call or text did not appear on my new device however no email reminder had been sent. I spoke to the representative she said it was nothing she could do due to the fact that we had already been dismissed. She also states my voicemail was full which is incorrect because that number has been disconnected for the past two months! I thought this was very unprofessional and inconsiderate especially to my infant son who was due for his six month shot! I have always been greeted and treated exceptionally well. The facility is very clean and the lobby looks great! There's even Caribou coffee. The receptionist staff is very kind. I have had to go for a sprained wrist and a sprained ankle. Stacy Ratigan is a top notch NP. She was extremely thorough with my 11 year old and I. She listened to my concerns so much so that I immediately knew this was the Dr's office I was changing too! This morning I called for an appointment. The receptionist was helpful and even waited when I had to put her on hold. I was able to get an appointment within the hour. I am so thankful to be part of the Wellspring family. (In regards to Brenda's post...I would rather have a Dr's office be intentional and give me a full bloodwork and other tests to really find out what's wrong with me vs. being upset about a Dr's bill. Dr's aren't in the business of treating patients based on insurance coverage. At least the Dr's had enough tenacity to be honest and share that weight may be a contributing factor. Some just brush weight off the table in hopes of not hurting ones feelings so I appreciate the review from her because I'd rather know that a Dr. cares.) read more

Dr Popal is amazing the staff at the specialty clinic is not. I have been on the phone for days with this office due to their negligence. My paperwork was never sent over to my insurance for pre authorization and because of this my surgery was canceled. When I confronted their error I was told by Veronica I could have called my insurance myself that my surgery was canceled and she hung up on me. Still dealing with trying to get this fixed and schedule a surgery. read more

I give three stars because the NP, Heather Cannova, was great. She was friendly and professional during the visit. I would give her 5 stars, if we were able to break it down that way. The receptionist, Wendy (I think), was also friendly and nice, even when dealing with an argumentative caller. The nurse working the front door was another story. When I approached, instead of saying hello or asking if she could help, she snapped "you got an appointment?" It was extremely off-putting and unwelcoming. The nurse who took me to the exam room was just as unfriendly. She motioned me from the waiting room without a word. Down the hall, she stopped and pointed at the scale, and then pointed toward the exam room, without a single word. I know that the routine is the same every time, but a little courtesy and friendliness would be nice, especially when one goes there seeking help. read more

Lindsay went to the Wellsprings specialty clinic because she had foot pain and Dr. Popal is a foot doctor. After Lindsay met with Dr. Popal they decided she needed a Xray, ultra sound and a MRI to determine what the cause of the pain was. After all that they discovered she had neuroma and capsulitis which if not treated can distort your foot. Finally having answers to the foot pain and being able to fix it was exciting but also frightening because she had to be put to sleep, which she is terrified of. So Dr. Popal set up the surgery at the surgery center in Culpeper for March 18th at 9:30AM but Lindsay just had to come back in on this past Tuesday to fill out paperwork. Upon returning Tuesday she filled out the paperwork but was told that they hadn't received the pre authorization from her insurance company yet and that the surgery may be cancelled. Dr. Popal also came into the room and went over what was happening in the surgery and informed Lindsay that her office would take care of the insurance part of it. Which I've never went to a hospital and called my insurance to tell them to pay. Drs and hospitals are getting that money. Now there are 3 children that need to be tended to after the surgery while I work and she will have to be off her foot also she will be put to sleep so she will need transportation which means someone will need to take the day off to transport her there and back. Being worried she called back Tuesday and was told by Karen that they would call her back. Ok Karen... You never called back. Wednesday Lindsay called the office 3 times asking if they had heard anything yet. The answer:No we will call you back. Never did. Thursday Lindsay called twice. The first time she was told that they would call her back. At lunch Thursday, Veronica, called Lindsay back and said that there had been a mixup. The woman that set up the surgery never sent the paperwork to the insurance company but they just did and they would get back to her. At this point no news of cancelation or anything of that nature. No one ever called back that day. Today Lindsay called at 9AM nothing. Before lunch someone else answers that was a new voice. This one sounds promising. "Veronica will get right back with you. She's out to lunch" "She's working on it and will call you back as soon as she gets back" hours later... nothing. Finally being fed up I call. I get an answering machine and what I was trying to say is that she is worried about this if you can't tell and it's Wellsprings job to set up the surgery and then make sure it happens. It's not a dinner we invited you to. You told her March 18th at 9:30AM. You picked the date! You picked the time! You told her what was going to happen! How long it would take! You told her you had her insurance information and would take care of it! Like I said though I was trying to say that. What came out probably sounded more like you are trash at your job. Don't know much about being a secretary but if you can't set up an appointment correctly or bill an insurance company correctly then you may have chosen the wrong career. So Veronica Lynn Alexander calls Lindsay back not about information but about my message. Saying that it was Lindsay's responsibility to call the insurance company. That it was basically her fault. Then she cancelled the surgery and hung up on Lindsay. So Lindsay went to the Madison Wellspring and was met with opened arms and was told to fill out a complaint by the staff and was contacted by a manager from the company a few times. The experience of a patient begins and ends with the people at the front desk. The secretary or receptionist whatever you call them. The smiling face that hands you a clipboard and fill out the highlighted part and the nurse will call you when they are ready for you. And tell you that you are all good on the way out. They need to know that the patients they are speaking with are either sick or hurting. No one comes to the dr just to come and they need to be sensible to those things. That's the job description. You chose it. They didn't. And if a customer like myself comes at you then you need to evaluate the reason and try to calm the situation not try to make it worse. I took my mom to the Wellspring which is supposed to take walk ins and be an urgent care. We still had to make an appointment. It wasn't for a couple of hours. They said we could go and come back, without telling us we had to check back in when we came back. The waiting room is not that big and they knew we had come back, but yet gave our appointment to someone else. There was another person that ended up leaving for the same reason. After seeing a few people coming in as walk ins going ahead of us, we decided to leave. We went to Med Express and had great success, we liked the doctor and it was as it should be first come first serve. read more

I was very unhappy about my visit with nurse practitioner Stacy Ratigan. I had severe abdominal pain. I was worried about pancreatitis because of a medication I was taking. First I saw another nurse practitioner, Amber. Then she went out and came back with Stacy, who laughed at me and said I had gastritis. She didn't ask me a single question about my pain. When I said I thought I might have pancreatitis, she said I'd seen too many commercials. She didn't even order the tests to diagnose pancreatitis. I had gone there for nothing. Stacy did not seem concerned, and she did not display any empathy. I won't be going back to Wellspring. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Popal at Wellspring Specility Clinic. Dr. Popal was very polite and seemed to be on the same page as me in regards to my foot issue. She ordered a series of xrays on my foot and ankle. When the results came back, which I waited weeks to hear back, I finally had to call, she said that there was no issues. I expressed my concern for more testing, MRI, ultrasound, etc. just to be told that there was nothing wrong and she would not order more tests. Knowing there was an issue with my foot, and knowing that Dr. Popal would not help after several attempts , I went to see another dr. She immediately ordered an MRI scan on my foot. A large soft tissue mass was found as well as a torn tendon. I would not recommend visiting this dr. I wasted weeks dealing with this office just to be told that they would not help me. I am sure if my issue was ignored or overlooked from Dr. Popal that numerous other people have had this happen as well. If I could give zero stars I would have. read more

This place is a joke. I started out liking this place. There is no direction here. After you start going here you soon find that your managing your own health care. There is plenty employees there doing nothing. If your going there for a band aid its o.k. . They opened up several specialty clinics in the surgery center next to the hospital. They seem to not understand your going there for help. Every doctor there has had problems in another practice around our area. They love charging you for services that were not rendered or they continually charge you out of pocket expenses that your insurance company has to call several times before they stop nickel and diming you to death. And when you finally decide to go elsewhere they call your pharmacy and cancel every refill you have left . You might get a cup of free coffee there while your waiting but its not worth the headache you get when they continually forget things and you cant get a message to your doctor because the nurses don't want to generate paperwork. I want to start off by saying I had the best nurse here that I've ever had at a doctors office so my concern doesn't come from her. Once I saw the doctor I was put through a series of tests that I felt probably all weren't necessary but she really had no idea what was wrong with me. I approved because I felt so bad only to get my results back finding out I need a probiotic and a vitamin. She ran over a thousand dollars worth of tests all of which my insurance didn't pick up. To top it all off she wanted to run more test that she forgot after getting my results because she still didn't know what was wrong with me.
