About a month ago I began receiving regular massage therapy from Lindsay Adensam on account of some slipped discs in my lower back which were causing me extreme pain. Pain that was bad enough to the point of where I would often had to lay down rather than sit because just sitting there was killing me. Yaseng is my acupuncturist. I depend upon her for advice and treatment of my knees. Not only does she go the extra mile in her treatments, but she also gives advice on foods, beverages and herbs which will help me. Her business is called So Cal Acupuncture and she provides treatment using needles and cupping. She takes time to listen to my concerns and bases her treatments accordingly. She is friendly, funny and gentle, especially with the needles. read more

I was a first-time client recently--really needed to get in for a massage, but my regular therapist at a different spa was full. So, I gave Wellsprings a call and was very happy that they could squeeze me in on a weekend afternoon for a 30 min. appointment. That was 5 stars. Unfortunately the experience with my therapist (Jacqueline, I believe?) was really not to my liking. I've had massages at a variety of spas, so I definitely understand that it's sometimes an issue of 'fit' with regards to pressure, style, etc. She was a nice lady, but it seemed like she didn't care or was unfocused/didn't want to be there. Perhaps it was an off day...however, that's a frustrating feeling when I was really in need of a massage and paid a fairly high price for the service, and it was kind of half-assed. Would recommend the spa itself, but not this particular therapist based on my personal experience...she might be a better fit for someone looking for lighter pressure, or a person wanting to come in for several visits and work up to deeper pressure over time. I'll be heading back to Vida down the street for future bodywork. read more

YaSeng is the best! I have only ever been to one other acupuncturist, but her technique or needles make it so you can't even feel them going into your skin. Whats more, she stays in the room with you the whole time and talks about other wholistic remedies that might benefit you - like oils, foods, stretching, etc. She really cares about her clients and you will be able to tell from the first phone call. The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and very positive. The center is very clean with top-notch equipment, run professionally with great customer service, and easy to get to (with parking...I'm from downtown LA, so I notice these things). Sherrel worked on me, and she was amazing. She took the time to listen to all my physical issues --- there are many -- and never made me rushed or hurried. She did a combination of MFR and some other techniques I believe, and the entire session felt fantastic. I feel worlds better both physically and mentally; it's rare to find someone that can really hit the spot where the mind and the body connect.
