I'm so glad I make the spontaneous purchase because it was a wonderful experience, mainly because Wendy can make anyone feel comfortable (even if you're almost naked!) and brings out the most beautiful version of a person through her photography. I was so nervous and felt uncomfortable for the first few minutes, mainly because I had no idea what to do, but after Wendy snapped a few photos, she showed them to me so I could see what they looked like. Wendy was amazing and out engagement photos turned out beautiful! I was honestly very nervous about the whole photoshoot process, but Wendy made it so comfortable and lighthearted. I'm a bit of a control-freak and Wendy was willing to try out poses and action shots that I wanted to try. She knew how to make us look great and natural (even though we didn't feel natural in the moment). I am also a glasses-wearer and Wendy was so great about moving me or moving the camera to avoid that weird glare I always get from my glasses. I also messed up on the timing of the photoshoot and emailed Wendy 2 days before our scheduled day. She was so great and was able to contact her other clients and switch our days. My boyfriend and I did a patriotic shoot with her and absolutely loved her! Her photos are absolutely amazing! When we got to our spot, the weather kind of turned bad, but with what we were wearing and the flag we used, it turned into a rustic themed background and she really captured us. I bought a Groupon for an engagement session with Wendy Kathleen Photography, and maybe that's why my experience with her was unpleasant. I originally wanted my engagement photos in April or May but I pushed them back to June because of Wendy's "busy" schedule. When she asked where I wanted them to be taken at, I sent her a photo that was one of the first pictures under the engagement portion of her website. She didn't reply for days so I kept forwarding the message so she would reply. She eventually replied that she would need to contact that client because she didn't know how to get there, and if there was a second location we could use if that didn't work out... Why would you not know where that's at if it is on your website for everyone to see. After looking at her Facebook page, she had that same location again with the caption saying that was her favorite place to take pictures at. I sent her a screenshot of that and she still didn't reply for days. She eventually replied with "I'll need directions as I don't know how to get there" At this point I was done with her unprofessionalism, rudeness, and neglect. I'm sure she put me on the back burner because I had a Groupon, but she shouldn't be on Groupon if she couldn't accommodate for it. Needless to say, I found a NICE photographer who told me exactly where that location was and has been nothing but accommodating to me. An engagement is an exciting time in a persons life and for Wendy Kathleen to make it a stressful time is uncalled for. I would rather lose out on the money I paid than to proceed any further with her. read more
