We had an appointment to meet a representative from this catering company a week ago. They called the night before and they rescheduled. We were to meet them at 2 PM at the venue. They did not show up. They did not call. We called to see if they were coming. They explained that they forgot. When you are unable to keep a customer commitment it is customary to call and cancel. My family & friends have a variety of allergies and food preferences making selecting one restaurant difficult . Wendy worked with me to have a variety of selections to make everyone happy. I used to work in catering so I understand how hard it is. The first five bites I was like-- yumm-o. Then the 6th bite of salad I was like woah this has officially moved on to way too sweet. The meat eaters in the group said the same thing about the citrus chicken. I am a purist so I enjoyed the grilled veggies, even though they had little to no seasoning. Everyone in my office enjoyed the various sides--orzo, muffins, etc. However, they had a great desserts. We had a tiramasu brownie, chocolate chip cookies, and fudge covered various flavor cheesecakes. Everyone was very happy with the desserts and the overall presentation was very well done. read more

Only super-positive things to say about the party they catered for my mom's birthday. We hosted a brunch for 15 people in her home. Luis showed up right on time, greeted the hosts and got right to work. He set up the serving stations beautifully, made sure we were on board with his decisions, and was incredibly respectful and accommodating as he went. After the event, he stayed to clean everything, even the plastic plates and cutlery! Then, the food. Oh, the food! It made me wish I had two stomachs. Everything was made freshly that morning in their kitchen then transported to us. The mushroom and cheese frittata was outstanding, full of flavor and delicious. Consistency of the eggs was great. The french toast casserole was amazing, really yummy, great consistency again where all the bread was cooked the same (not at all mushy or overdone). Breakfast potatoes with onions and peppers were great, just crispy enough. The lox and bagel spread was done beautifully with a wooden serving board for the fish and little bowls for all the vegetables and toppings. Yogurt parfaits were rich and tasty (my only complaint is a minor detail that the berries in them weren't great). Overall, I was really impressed with how everything went. Not recommended. The food served was not at all what I had expected. I had been at a party where they had catered before and the food seemed so much better. Perhaps it was because I had had a small party. The beef was served on a little white plate off to the side. The only thing that seemed in large quantity were the quesadillas. The shrimp wrapped in bacon was very dry. The only reason why I am giving this three stars is because both the bartender and server were very impressive. Our events had many cultural and timing nuances that were all handled expertly by Wendy and her team. I hosted two events on two different day at Baylor college this week and Wendy Krispin came though big time. I couldn't believe the value we got. We got hot lunches in chafing dishing, salads, and desert for about $10 per person. That included delivery, table clothes, plates, forks, knifes, and serving tools. They delivered the food on time and showed up looking professional. Her staff was extremely pleasant and helpful to work with as well. Additionally, they followed up with me several times before the event to make sure details were 100% right. At the end of the week my customers were asking me for her cards so I hope she gets some referrals from the business. I used yelp to find some catering a many companies turned me away because of my budget and quality of people I was needing food for. I have managed restaurants before and was surprised to hear they wouldn't work with me. Doesn't matter to me though because I will never use anyone else for catering in the Dallas area. We can't say enough great things about Wendy Krispin Caterer!!! For the past five years, Wendy and her staff have graciously donated lunches for a charity event held annually at T Bar M Racquet Club called Pink Day that benefits Susan G. Komen Dallas. The event is held in conjunction with the Challenger Professional Men's Tennis Tournament and year after year Wendy makes it possible for us to host the fundraiser that draws 200-300 women annually. The ladies come to watch the tennis, but the lunch Wendy serves is just as big a hit as the matches! She continues to outdo herself each year and sets the bar she has created higher and higher. This year, we went healthy and didn't realize healthy could taste so good! We started with a delicious roasted cauliflower soup that was both non-dairy and gluten free. Wendy followed the soup with a build your own kale and field green salad topped with avocados, pecans, walnuts, dried fruits and other goodies and topped off with either black pepper chicken or grilled pesto lemon salmon. I went for the salmon that was delicious. Also on the menu, Wendy and her team brought a roasted mushroom, onion and carrot quinoa with wonderful flavors that I could have made a meal of and there were roasted roots and brussel sprouts as well. And then dessert!! We had the most fabulous key lime gingersnap cheesecake shooters (that I also could have made a meal of!) along with fresh berries and melt in your mouth chocolate dipped brownie cake balls! Wendy and her staff were, as always, the ideal team to work with from start to finish. Not only has Wendy donated her time and meals, but has done it to the highest standard. She and her staff are pleasant and knowledgeable and the upmost professionals when it comes to getting the job done. We feel very fortunate to have Wendy on our team and appreciate all she has done for our event.
