I found Twister Burger which was didn't have a large amount of ratings, but they had a big menu so I chose them! Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right off a pretty wide street that doesn't seem like a main road is this gem. There's no private parking lot so you'll have to park on the street in the neighborhood, but I didn't have a hard time finding space. Once inside you're transported back to like... the 40s? 50s? Whenever the soda fountain era was with the black/white checkered walls, neon lights and the whole thing. Lol. It was cute. The restaurant is fairly small and that's okay! It makes for a more comfortable and cozy feel. I got my food to go so I didn't have to stay long. Service: The gentlemen behind the counter was very helpful and make sure I got everything that I needed. He also helped me since most of the menus are in French. Food: I started off with their Taco Salad, but as of now I don't see it listed on their menu anymore. Anyway, it's basically their now Southwest Salad which contains mixed greens, corn, red onion, avocado, fried tortillas and shredded cheese, served with chipotle ranch. But instead of being in a bowl, it's in a fluffy, crispy taco shell which was very flavorful and enjoyable. It worked well. The name of the place is called Twisted Burger so I had to try at least one of them. I decided on the Trio Diablo Burger which is 130g beef (1/3 lb), jalapeños, monterrey jack cheese, habanero salsa, grilled onion, chipotle mayonnaise and lettuce, and tomatoes. It kinda slid apart in transport, but I was able to put it back together at my hotel room and it was fine. Nothing super crazy or explosive to report. It was a decent burger and satisfied my cravings for sure. The beer-battered onion rings were okay too. Nothing special and I don't think I was expecting anything out of this world either. Most beer-battered onion rings taste the same, so it's good that it's a familiar flavor to recognize. Value: My taco salad was $14.95CAD, my burger was $10.95CAD and my onion rings were $4.95CAD. This is a GREAT DEAL on the amount of food I had for sure. Looking for a cheap date, something quick, nothing fancy, I dig this place for sure.

I decided to take the plunge and try it out the other day and I wasn't disappointed. Like you might expect from a sort-of-dicey fast-food joint, this place serves up some nice greasy eats. We ordered a jumbo poutine, which had the largest pieces of cheese I've ever seen on a poutine! It was pretty darn good. The hot dogs are your standard fare, and I just had to try the burgers when I saw that they were served on some funny looking bread. The burger was definitely different from what I was expecting. The home-made patty was pretty decent, but the fixings were unique. Inside the flat-topped sesame seed buns was a layer of relish, onions, and... saurkraut! It was a tasty experience, and I'd order it again, although the burger could benefit from the juiciness of a tomato slice. Beware though, as you'll end up smelling like a ball of grease once you leave the place... but it just might be worth it.

The bad: The only bad thing that stands out is this place is really pricey. Your bill can stack up pretty quickly if you order anything outside of hot dogs. For example, one pogo is about $3, and yet you can get a box of four for a dollar or two more at the supermarket. If you do not mind paying a tad more, then you are in for a treat as you will have probably the best fast-food in the area.

Is the gravy made from scratch? Yes it is and it's the same sauce they have been using since 1985. The Bill was over 40$ The dogs were ok..the poutine was not bad but the burgers were awful ! Tiny sad little things..and tasteless At something like 5.70$ each..they were ridiculous. The frys were ok also but nothing terrific. Lafleur had a great reputation for good simple food..but at least in this restaurant ..that reputation is no longer deserved. I might stop again for poutine or some hot dogs..but the rest NO!

I've order food for take out with only 15 minutes to spare before having to catch my bus. Been in once before when they refused to cook tofu dogs because they had cleaned the grill for the night and didn't want to make them for me. I think it was 11pm... Only negative experience I've ever had there.
