There are places that you go ever so often only when you forget why you stopped going there before. That is how I feel about Wendy's, and not just this location. One touch screen to order, no one working the registers and 5 people in line took 17 minutes for two people to order, which is when I left. Requests to open up a register were ignored. 1013 Ridge Pike #00002644. Ordered Bacon Egg SWISS medium combo at drivethru. Apparently my host's name was HoLLi WooD. Received Sausage Egg Cheese on MOLDY croissant. Was upcharged for medium cold potatoes and upcharged for Large coffee and received barely half a large coffee. So I paid $7.20 for an almost medium coffee with no napkin or condiments for the coffee. When I got home and discovered this mess I called the restaurant and felt like I woke the woman up from a nap, she was whispering. I asked her to speak up, she didn't, I asked for the manager's name, she whispered something and I asked her again to speak up, she didn't. Asked her to let me speak to the manager. After several minutes Lee, who would not provide a last name, told me they are very busy serving breakfast and preparing for lunch. That was why the other woman had to whisper and why nothing in my order was correct and had mold? I didn't want to keep her during such a busy time so I am writing here. This is not the first, second or third time this store has ruined an order but it is the last. The poor work ethic and low expectations are consistently front and center. The high bar is just a little mold is okay? The order is kinda accurate so it's good enough? I hate answering the phone so I'll just whisper and hope you go away? Horrible. Back to the Wendy's on Dekalb. You can call me a Karen when you get moldy incorrect food and are treated this way trying to let them know. Was so excited to try the crabby patty meal, what a gimmick I mean I didn't expect this huge meal or anything, but when I tell you, it was just a small cheeseburger and the sauce was barely noticeable. The drink could not have been more than maybe 4 to 6 ounces. I will say if they offer a larger size frosty and the pineapple flavor I might go back just for that. Very small meal and I usually love Wendy's, I'm not a big fast food eater, but I usually prefer them over any other fast food places. Even today the fries were pretty bad. I absolutely would not go back for that meal ever again and do not recommend it. Even though its a chain fast food joint, they in my mind are better than Micky Ds'... Baconator!!!! How can you go wrong with this if you like bacon!! Best part is they ask you what size you would like(yes i know its like that everywhere) but you compare their largest cheese burger to Micky Ds' hands down, this little red head has them beat. IMO only one other fast food burger joint has a bigger burger which is B.K. triple whopper . I remember when there only used to be one type of "frosty" now they have different flavors .. yeaaa buddy. May sound weird but try it out if you already haven't. Take a french fry and dip it in the frosty.. nice combo.. think I may have had a drunk moment when I tried this, but I have been doing it every now and then when I get one. These guys did a complete overhaul on the exterior along with the interior bringing little Miss Wendy to a more modern look. She is clean inside, bright, staff is helpful. bathroom was ok , went in to wash my hands. Their drive thru well they are a little slow sometimes in getting the order in and out. We found this location on our way to Ambler. It was the fanciest Wendy's I've ever been in. Lounge style seating and electric fireplaces. Went through the drive through last Friday. Cashier was rude and while she was giving me food and multiple straws and spoons, 'forgot' to give me my card back. I realized it a few hours later when I stopped for gas. Called the store - the manager said it's their policy to have the cashiers give the cards to the managers ASAP so they can be put in the safe. It took them 2.5 hours for that to happen and there were 3 charges on my account by then. STILL waiting for the district manager to call me back. Left 3 messages and no response. DO NOT GO HERE. The first thing that caught my attention when I walked in was the flashy decor that made the Wendy's feel like an upscale bar in Philadelphia. Although it was freezing inside, I was able to get comfortable in one of their many lounges. Now, even though the decor is nice, doesn't mean it's not a Wendy's. As I placed my order, it took a little more than 20 seconds for the cashier to find the button that had a frosty float on it, but was quick on the draw when taking my cash. They asked me for my name to make it seem upscale maybe but they could have just handed me my order right then. About 5 seconds later, much to my surprise, they called my name for my frosty. I took it with root beer dripping down the sides, and ice cream foam running out the lid. I wish I had the chance to work at a fast food chain to see if it really is that hard to do remedial tasks just so I can rightfully call the people behind the counters idiots. But right now, I just will never know how hard it is to be a cashier. And judging by the pathetic employees at Wendy's, it must be pretty damn hard. read more

After a trip to Ikea tonight, approximately 9 PM, we were starving and wanted something quick. Saw there was a Wendy's up the street so I placed a mobile order for drive thru pickup through the app. And I selected to pay through the Digital Wallet. On the app it shows as PAID. When I get to the pickup window, there were about 4 associates looking at the computer and the one woman who I assume is a manager said that it's showing that I never paid, despite showing her that I did in fact pay on the app. She rudely said to me that she's not here to just give away free food and that I still need to pay so I told her I was just going to cancel my order and go to a different location because I refuse to pay twice. And that's exactly what I did I drove the half hour home and went to my local Wendy's and I ordered it the exact same way I did for the location at Conshohocken and low and behold it went through smoothly! Maybe the people that work here need training on how to handle and process mobile orders? But I will never waste my time to come back here again, especially to not deal with rude workers. read more

I used to frequent this Wendy's location due to it's proximity to my workplace but I will NEVER go there again. It's always been a little slow but recently it's gotten a lot worse. The last time I was there about three weeks ago the only cashier on duty was too busy giving her friend a discount to pay attention to the line forming. And then when I did finally order a Baconator the food preparer made me some kind of burger with jalapeno. Big difference if you ask me. Then today against my better judgement I went back and OMG! The drive through was wrapped around the building and it was even worse inside. There was probably twenty people in line. So I of course left. I work for a living and only have so much time for lunch. Mind you this was at 1:30 in the afternoon. I purposely do not go during the 12 PM hour to avoid such situations. What a sh$t show this place is. The man who took our order was very pleasant and another employee (an adult) who was getting our food was fantastic. One employee over by the drive through was cursing while talking to another employee but we saw her getting screamed at in the drive thru so I gave her a pass. As we were getting drinks I heard some teens in the dining room mildly cursing and such but didn't pay much attention until someone asked them for ketchup because they were all employees. They were out of ketchup in the dispensers and the soda was warm. While we were eating our dinner good burger but luke warm and soggy fries, I see what looks like the entire staff (at least everyone under say 19) run out the side door. And right there on the walkway in front of the glass entrance we were all treated to two employees having a fist fight. The manager comes out tells them they are all fired. They all came back in and seemed to back to their jobs. The three or four who had been hanging out in the dining area (including one of the kids in the fight) went back to their table and I only saw one person actually leave (the other kid in the fight)but he walked back in several times before we could scarf down our food and get the heck out of there. At no point did the manager apologize to the people in the dining room or even look at us. read more

Management is friendly enough, but none of the employees who man the drive thru are personable. They are flip and rude, often cutting you off before you speak.
