Not sure what this building used to be, possibly Snap Custom Pizza, but it has a really nice look to it inside, think they designed it a bit to look like you're actually in Greece (that's my assumption, I've never been there, so I could be completely wrong). Food is tasty here, with lots of good options whether you want Greek food or the typical American fare - I would go Greek, though! Not a huge amount of space inside, but it makes for a cozy spot. You order at the counter, and then the food is brought to you in the back (or takeout to go), and I think it came fairly quickly too. Nothing makes me happier than a Greek meal and sometimes a handheld has to do! So I stopped by EatGreek after spotting its sign on a Conshohocken street. I am very glad I did. I parked right out front and walked in. It is clearly a big take out place but there are tables in the back. I think it is family run and everyone was working hard. I ordered a chicken souvlaki and a small Greek salad. It was ready in about 10 minutes. Loved it! The chicken was fresh, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Fries were battered, which is gross, but the toppings made them worth a few bites. The toppings were great; just wish they'd get better quality fries. After a morning at the Elmwood Park Zoo, my family and I came here for a quick lunch. The food was surprisingly really good and satisfying. I got the lamb and beef gyro and my husband had the chicken skewer platter with fries. The pita bread here is so good (fresh, warm and soft) but the tzatziki could be better (too thick and not enough flavor). The entire meal was very heavy because of the fries, but the salad helped cut some of the grease. First time here with my wife, the service was good and the food was even better. The Beef & Lamb platter came open face on a nice sized pita and so much meat I had to eat some first with a fork before building it with the vegetables and tzatziki that comes with it. The baklava was a man sized slice and really hit the spot at the end of the meal. Back a few years ago I studied abroad in Crete, Greece. It was the best time of my life and one of the main reasons it was so great was because of the food. Coming back to the states I found I no longer could find that true Greek food or if I did I had to travel out of my way to get it or go to a sit down restaurant. Then this place opened... and that changed everything! I have been here maybe 5 or so times so far and I seriously love this place every time I come! The staff is always so nice and welcoming and the food is seriously amazing. The first time I went it was their first week open. The owner was so nice and gave us a sample of their Avgolemono soup while we waited for the meal. One of the items I noticed on the menu was a "village salad." After going to Crete this was one thing I missed the most because I found no Greek salads were actually made correctly. The woman even asked if I knew what it was to make sure I ordered the right item LOL! The village salad is definitely my favorite and I add a chicken skewer but also try their tzatziki, gyros, and platters. You really can't go wrong. Oh and they have frappes! I lived off those in Crete. I even think this place may be BYOB if you want to take your time and relax while you eat. read more

This is the BEST gyro I've found in the past 10 years or so living on the East Coast. This is very similar if not the same thing that you will find back in Chicago-land when it comes to a gyro. Good quality meat that is thinly cut off of a spit w/ high quality toasted pita and fresh homemade tzatziki w/ onion and tomato no lettuce, lettuce does not belong on a gyro! Don't get me wrong some places in the region have a decent offering but nothing compares to Eat Greek, this is the pinnacle of East Coast gryos, in fact, the other places gyros go to bed at night wishing they'd be like an Eat Greek gyro. I'll end it with this if you want a gyro go here and skip the other places who just aren't doing it right. read more

Tomatoes, lettuce, red onion seemed fresh enough. Overall a little dry (could have used more sauce) and a little greasy, if that makes any sense. Didn't really taste 'Greek,' at least the Greek I know from American restaurants. If I were to be completely honest, compared to good, delicious Greek food I have been fortunate enough to have, fairly middling in taste. Only disclaimer, this was just one time, so maybe there is sampling error, as many reviews seem to rave about the food. Sandwich came well wrapped and nicely compact for convenient on-the-go lunch eating. Price reasonable. $12 for lunch special, with sandwich, fries, and a 12 oz can soda. Can order ahead online. Tipping part of payment of course (you can select zero). Just make sure to take a close look and see if your order is right. I was ordering for a group and one was a lunch special, the others just sandwiches, and the french fry was missing and no soda was offered. Fortunately caught the mistake myself before leaving the store. Small, narrow shop located right off the street and so just use street parking for pickup. read more

Never had been there before, so I called to find out if they were strictly takeout, or had a dining room. The gentleman did tell me they had a dining room, so I assumed it was a full service restaurant. We had to order at the counter, which was no big deal and they brought our food out to the dining room for us. Food was served in takeout containers, which was certainly not what I expected. Food was mediocre at best, and if I were going for a sandwich, it may have been fine. I've probably tried about 6 of their lunch platters. The quality is always excellent. Good salad and dressing, good deserts. The rice pilaf it exceptional. As are their Gyro's and chicken and shrimp skewers. I had hoped to try the Moussaka today but unfortunately, they did not have enough ready to fill my order. They cancelled the charge, gave me the platter of my choice, and he threw in some really good Kataifi for desert. Delicious quick Greek food in a relaxed environment. Traveling near KOP shopping we were hungry for Greek food and Yelp led us to Eat Greek , which did not disappoint. Upon entering we were warmly welcomed and explained how the process works; order at the counter, have a seat in the dining area, and food will be brought to our table. Take out is also available. The lady at the counter was great and since it was our first visit she prompted us through the menu. We ordered the 4 dip sampler (tzatziki, Spicy tzatziki, hummus, and tirokafteri) served with pita bread and fresh sliced cucumbers. All the dips were delicious, but we really enjoyed the hummus. We tried two entrees; the chicken gyro bowl and the chicken gyro sandwich both were cooked perfectly, bursting with flavors and were very large portions. I was surprised how affordable, while still serving fresh large portions the meals were. We actually took our left overs home for a second meal. One thing I really liked is the help yourself to go containers. On a side shelf by the drinks and plasticware were to go containers and lids for dips. This was so convenient that I could just help myself instead of asking at the counter. If you want delicious Greek food without a long wait and at an affordable price, make Eat Greek a stop on your dining rotation. read more
