Ordered through app and when I came to pick it up, they told me a 20 minute wait and were not very friendly. They had one other customer. Why the wait? Then when I received my food, fries were ice cold and order was wrong. I had a Dave's Bacon Classic and they forgot to put the bacon on it among other issues with the order. I had one of the worst fast food experiences ever at this Wendy's location. I placed and paid for my order through the official Wendy's app. When I arrived, they told me my order was an "old order" and just flat-out refused to prepare it. No explanation, no apology, no effort to make it right -- just a dismissive attitude. To make things worse, the phone number listed in the app didn't work, so I had no way to reach out to anyone for help or support. The staff offered zero assistance, and I essentially paid for food I never received. This is unacceptable. If your location accepts online orders, then you need to honor them. Period. If not, take the option off the app or get your systems in order. I left frustrated, hungry, and out the money I paid. Completely unprofessional and a total failure in customer service. Hands down, the most absolutely disgusting Wendy's I've been to. The inside of the restaurant should be condemned. I'm shocked that corporate allows severely discolored carpet, torn up, sticky floors with a foul odor to pass any type of inspection. Food was lukewarm at best and stale. Not sure I've been in a dirtier fast-food place. The grease smell seemed to come from the smells themselves. When we asked for a cloth to wipe off a table, someone came and wiped off the spilled cheese sauce but nothing else on the table. I felt incredibly uncomfortable eating here..... and yet, on the road, late, with kids. I ordered a single. It came with cheese (not ordered with). I took it back and asked for no cheese. They brought a second with cheese. I asked please no cheese, so they brought a patty, no condiments, no lettuce, no tomato, etc. I clarified, just a regular single, no cheese. They put tomato, lettuce, onion back on, still no mustard, ketchup, etc. I gVe up. Fries were wet, soggy. My son got a salad, said apples were awful. (Apples and salad are his favorite food). If I could give this restaurant less than a one I would. Wendy's on Griswold Road in Elyria is a horrible place to eat. First of all got my order wrong had to go back in and get it corrected no problem. Got the correct sandwich bit into it and had a long black hair. Walked in at 2pm on a Saturday with a party of four. My order was a fish sandwich with double tarter, a broccoli and cheese potato and a natural lemonade. I saw them prepare a cheese and bacon potato. I told them I ordered brocolli and cheese. She informed me it would be 40 minutes for a potato. Yes. 40 minutes. I took the one they made. It would be a minute for my sandwich. They would bring it out to me. 8 minutes later I went to the counter. No sandwich. They gave it away at the drive thru but would make another in 10 minutes. I have lived in this area my whole life. This Wendy's has been a constant struggle bus. Some highs some lows. But food and service was always DECENT. now a day's. It has been absolutely horrid. The line is never less than ten or 12 cars wrapping all the way around the people. Constantly messing up the order or food is bad and quality. And you would think okay if it's that bad. Don't go there. Well I would imagine when I give it a month or two rest then try again only to get the same results. It's get aggravating. Over FIVE times has this place closed earlier than they were supposed to.they say the reasoning is short stafff? Hmm really? Do you know how many times I have been short staffed at chipotle Panera or any other food place I worked. I dreamed of closing 5 minutes early. But I DEALT with it. They plain as day will be sitting outside 30 minutes before close smoking cigarettes with the dining room mopped. But in the same breath say you are short staffed. That's the most ass backwards thing I ever did hear. Something needs to be done with this establishment.
