This location made me wait 20 min for a frosty. I watched while 3 other customers ordered after me and then got their food orders filled before my single chocolate frosty with caramel swirl topping was ready for me. Unbelievable. When I finally got my order, it was not correct. They have me a half blended chocolate frosty with chocolate fudge swirl. This Wendy's location is always pretty slow when we pass through town on a road trip. We typically stop in Hays as it's the perfect place to refill the tank and our tummy's. Our breakfast sandwich (on an English muffin) seemed to be right out of the bag and not toasted. I don't typically complain on fast food but it wasn't good. The staff was cordial and nice. And we didn't go inside to see the actual restaurant environment. I'd probably trip something else if it's in proximity. read more

Staff was great, it was fairly busy during the afternoon lunch rush but the staff was trying to keep the lobby picked up and trash from over flowing! The drink station is a little harder to fix while everyone is getting straws lids ketchup utensils and whatever else they need for their food! But you will always have a place to sit and enjoy your food! The food was good as always they are a busy location but this is my favorite Wendy's in town! read more

I only eat in fast food restaurants on road trips for a quick lunch. We were in Hays Kansas today at lunch time so we pulled in to the only Wendy's within 50 miles. They were out of hamburgers (and chili, made from orphan burgers)!! In Kansas, where cattle outnumber people! I gave them 2 stars because the 1 star category is reserved for chronic complainers and roadkill. read more

Woof... Last time we were here pretty good..this time, I couldn't even finish my meal. I want to use a book full of adjectives but I'll just use gross for now. Two stars because food came out so quickly and I can't give half stars. 1. Bathrooms were similar to an Afghan truckstop...trust me, don't stop at an Afghan truck stop.. 2. Lobby. Afghan bathroom situation was creeping into lobby. Majority of floors between bathroom, Coke machines and front counter were covered with schmegma like substance like it was the scene of a cattle birth. The actual dry areas of floors were so sticky our shoes were sticking with an audible stick sound that is reverberating in my head as I wonder if I am going to get sick from the small amount of my meal I ate. 3. Both coke machines were out of ice; one didn't produce drinks; both were extremely dirty; both our drinks (despite having ice we had to get from cashier) were warm and had the flat taste of a Coke you found in middle of desert...hot, flat, negative taste. 4. The place was busy but despite this, the fries tasted like morning after fries you had in college. Soggy,cool and limp. The only flavor was from the copious amounts of salt. You always worry about places where front of house is lacking in cleanliness and order..this Wendy's is a case study for Health Inspector school for sure. read more

So I was mad when I first got my food. The woman on the headset had apparently stepped away for a bit so no one came near the window for a while. A different lady finally came over, handed me a bag and a drink in complete silence, mumbled "Have a good day," and then walked away. It seemed super weird to me, especially since she clearly worked only in the kitchen so I made sure I checked everything before leaving the parking lot. I had ordered 3 chicken biscuits with no honey butter and a sausage egg cheese croissant. All of my chicken biscuits had the honey butter on them and the croissant was missing. I went back through the drive thru and talked to the same lady as before over the speaker. She told me to go to the second window so they could fix it. She took my receipt and said they'd remake the messed up items. As soon as she turned away from the window, she started telling off the lady from the kitchen. I've worked a lot in customer service, especially in fast food, so I usually wouldn't applaud getting mad at kitchen staff for mistakes except that it seemed like the kitchen lady might have been messing up on purpose. Also, I'm mildly allergic to honey so eating it won't harm me for now but it could make my allergy worse and honey is a very common allergen because of the pollen. When the lady on the headset brought back the new food, she had me check it before I drove away "so we don't waste any more gas" and my chicken biscuits were right, but the croissant sandwich was still missing. I told her that and she apologized in a very customer service voice, closed the window, turned around, and started telling the kitchen lady off again. She came back after a bit and gave me the sandwich and apologized again. Then she turned and started telling the lady off again. The fact that she took the situation seriously and didn't get mad at me and stood up for me is amazing. I've seen far too many managers assume the customer is wrong when they're not. Unfortunately, I didn't get either of their names. But whoever was on headset the morning of 6/26/23 is amazing. read more

The staff was super friendly at this location. There seemed to be an abundance of business here as this is located in a busy service stop. As many were waiting in line, we utilized the ordering kiosk that made our visit so much quick and easy. read more

I got a salad which was tasty. Husband got chili and he was disappointed they had no saltines. Also to get a spoon he had to ask for they said there was no room to put any out. Plenty of TVs but nothing showing just a roku ad. Wish they had something on. Bathrooms were clean. I also had to go back for pecans as they forget to give them to me. Meh. Ok Wendy's. Kind of dirty and slow during the lunch rush due to Hays being a major stop for I-70 travelers. Food was pretty typical quality and decently fresh. Fries were lukewarm. Come machine was leaking all over the place. The one on the south end of town is probably a better option. read more

The food was ok but dang. This place is filthy. The trash cans are so full that nothing else can go in them. The floors are sticky with all the food that's spilled, not to mention pop and frostys. Get those kids out there and teach them to work. It's no wonder these places are all closing. Very very disappointing! read more

I can't believe I am giving a fast food place 4 stars, but I am. This place, which is kind of in the middle of nowhere Kansas, seems to be pretty new. It is super clean, has flat screen TVs showing sports, a fireplace, super comfy chair, very nice bathrooms and a super friendly staff. None of these I was expecting from this stop. This review is for the South Wendy's, not the North location. My son and I went there this afternoon and ate inside. There was no one inside and maybe 4 cars that came through drive thru in the hour we were there. Over half the tables were dirty, there were no spoons at all, no napkins, took 15 minites to get our fries and most of them were on the tray not in the carton, was told we couldn't have chocolate frosties... Only vanilla ones, the trash cans were completely full, and the pop machine broke while we were there even. The manager asked the guy to stock and clean the dining area and the guy said he had. The manager didn't even check it and just went to put truck away while everyone else on shift ignored us. We have never had any issues when we have gone to North Wendy's, so I guess we will go there next time. read more

We got there at 10:32 and they refused to serve us breakfast because of the "10:30" cutoff. The side of their building literally says BREAKFAST in all caps, and we have been driving for 3 hours. Way to go customer service department, it's not like you ran out of Bfast food read more
