This place is pretty cool! The seating is in an open space with lots of different scour and fun things to look at! I loved the atmosphere! Our server was very attentive and present. Always checking in on us and asking if we needed anything. The food itself was good!! Nothing extravagant but also super good and the prices were amazing I love how affordable this place was

place to refuel, this spot is a must-stop. They offer lots of customizable options, so everyone can get exactly what they're craving, and the prices are fantastic for the quality and variety you get. Service is quick and friendly, making it an easy, convenient stop before getting back on the road. Highly recommend adding this to your go-to road trip route! Fun atmosphere for the kids too with coloring pages on hand to keep them busy :)

Wow! This place is delicious! We waited 30mins for a seat. This was a great sign to see so many locals waiting to eat here. The other place that we were planning on trying had a staffing issue so this place was next on the Yelp List of places to try in Hays, Kansas. After we were seated, our server immediately introduced herself and asked us for our drink order. She also brought us waters. We looked over the menu and it was VAST, yet American and perfect for watching the NFL Sunday games. They have a lot of TVs here. You can watch golf or football on the TVs on Sundays. We ordered: 1 Honey Garlic Boneless Wings for the starter, 1 Cowboy Burger with Onion Rings side, 1 Breaded Pork Cutlet with gravy, mashed potatoes, and caesar salad as sides. Also, an Old Fashioned cocktail and a 0% Heineken beer. There was so much food. The portions were huge. The food was VERY GOOD. This is a place where you may be full, but you continue to nibble because everything tastes so great! Our visit was wonderful. Our server was excellent. Overall, I highly recommend dining here.

Great atmosphere for dining solo to a large group. Quick friendly and efficient service. Wide variety of menu choices that everyone in a group can find something that appeals to them.

This bar hit all three of my review criteria's 1. Service the bar tenders provided excellent service we would order a beer and literally less than a minute later they were at our table 2. The food was excellent 3. The prices were very reasonable

Hair found in the chicken wings I ordered

I do not think the food here was fresh at all. I ordered wings only & from the picture, you can see the wing doesn't look fresh at all. Then there was a huge hair strand on the plate which is gross. The celery was also bad, very slimy and brownish in color.

Cute little old truck in the lobby.

Each entree was fantastic. The food is always very good. They can do it all here. Their catering is also excellent. The truck and tailgate seating in the lobby is fun for the kids. Snap a picture with the Marilyn Monroe statue on your way in. The extra large TVs make it easy to catch a game. There are many places to sit with large tables for extra large groups down to a table for two. The wait staff have always been very good each time we come. Highly recommended for out of town visitors. The prices are reasonable and the menu has something for every craving. You just can't go wrong with Thirsty's.

Stopped by here late on a weekend. Staff were very nice and welcoming. Plenty to choose from on the drink and food menu. Lots of vegetarian and pescetarian options. Interior definitely has a 50s and 60s theme to it... The "pink drink", a monthly special was soooo good. The vegetarian burger was pretty good. The mac and cheese dish was not too bad. All in all, we had a decent experience and would probably return here.

Walking in the place you are greeted by Marilyn Monroe and when you walk in further it's got everything from a car to a basketball goal. Happy hour beer was a good deal and i got the Bloody Mary and asked for it spicy. It was very good and spice level was perfect. Started with corn dip as the appetizer and it was like a queso mixed with corn which i gotta say is a good combo. For our meal we got the fajitas and they weren't bad - I'm from Texas so it wasn't the best i ever had but they weren't bad. Stopped in the bathroom on the way out and it had TVs in each stall. That was a first for me!

    Interior of restaurant

Stopped here on a road trip, and we were blown away. The food was delicious. I was skeptical because of the very large menu, but everything we ordered was delicious. The pork chop really stood out. It was one of the most juicy and flavorful pork chops we have had. All of the food was great, the only thing I would say that lacked was the breadstick. But, in comparison to everything else, it doesn't even need to be mentioned. The prime dip was fresh, and the green beans were seasoned perfectly. Our waitress was very friendly and the restaurant had a fun vibe to it. We went right when it opened on a Sunday and it was starting to get packed by the time we left. I am not surprised! Will stop by here again for sure if we are ever in Hays!

Sweet and spicy Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich!

Hangover burger was delicious but the boom boom burger didn't have enough sauce and was dry. Service and atmosphere is always good!

The service matches the atmosphere perfectly: friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help you navigate their creative menu. The food here is where things really take off. The steak & blue cheese salad was outstanding--fresh, bold, and packed with flavor. The ahi tuna poke nachos were another knockout, the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after you leave. And if you're a burger person, this place is dangerous in the best way. Their burgers are consistently amazing: juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Of course, you can't come to Gella's without enjoying their great beer, brewed right on site. Every pint feels like it was crafted to pair perfectly with the food. If you're in Hays, Gella's is a must‑visit. Creative dishes, great beer, beautiful space, and service that makes you feel right at home. An easy five stars.

Nbd wasn't stressed at that point because the bartender was super busy. I work in food service I get that.. Then the rest of the food came out and we were never checked on again for the next 20 minutes while we ate. Would have loved to bring up the fact that this chicken wing was completely RAW.. put it out by the card just waiting for the bartender to notice us/the chicken wing and she never did so we just paid and left. Hoping we don't get sick. The rest of the wings were cooked we just so happened to bust into to this one last.. Again I get it if you're absolutely slammed but just felt like we were getting completely ignored for no reason. We were polite so not sure what the deal was.

My wife searched for a local place to try and picked Cattleman's Cafe III. We pulled into Hays around 11 a.m., only to realize the restaurant didn't open until 11:30, so we drove around town for a little while before heading back. Once we went in, we were greeted by a very nice young lady who seated us right away and took our drink order. We both had iced tea. My wife ordered the pot roast with a side salad, and I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn. When the food arrived, everything looked amazing. My wife said the pot roast was so tender it was falling apart while she cut it. My chicken fried steak was the same way -- honestly tender enough to cut with a fork. The first bite was excellent. The meat was very tender and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes and corn were also very good, and my wife really enjoyed her meal as well. This place was excellent, and we are very glad we decided to stop here. Even the local people sitting next to us were friendly and enjoyable to talk with, which made the experience even better. It's always nice to learn something new and meet good people while traveling. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stop in again for another meal.

The hostess was super customer service oriented and the server was also very much so as well. We saw that they had lunch specials for $9.99 and also Oktoberfest specials on beer: $4 pints & $5 tall steins. We ordered: Cheesy Sticks Starters, 2 Old Chicago Chopped Salads, 1 Oktoberfest Beer, and 1 Heineken 0% Alcohol Beer. Everything came out within a good amount if time: about 7 mins for the starter, and 10 mins after that for the salads. The cheesy bread was pretty good, hot and flavorful. It came with a marinara dipping sauce. The salads were tiny and served in small bowls. They definitely were not worth $10 each, but maybe $3 each, as they were side salad size, not lunch salad size. We had excellent customer service here so I kept it at 3 stars. The food quality and portion sizes was a bit off.

After reading the great reviews of their food and looking at the menu (and on their website) we were excited to get something that wasn't fast food. They had lost their cook, and hence no more fish tacos, chicken parm sandwich, etc. I ordered all 3 items, half wings with garlic parm and half boom boom, cheese curds and jazzed fries. Food came out very quickly and with a smile. The one star is for the friendly barkeep/cook. Food, very meh. Enough said.
