I have to give a huge shout-out to the incredible team at the Wendy's in Oak Harbor. I'm a regular, coming here at least twice a week for my go-to order: two honey butter chicken biscuits and a large Mello Yello. What really sets this place apart is the amazing service. The workers are so attentive that they often know my order as soon as I drive up to the speaker, and many times, they have it ready before I even get a chance to ask. The staff is always so friendly, and even though I have a tendency to chitchat and overshare a bit at the drive-thru, they are always incredibly efficient and get my food to me right away. Their ability to balance genuine warmth with speedy service is what keeps me coming back. This team consistently goes above and beyond, and they deserve all the praise. read more

If you only have 30 minutes on lunch, don't come to this Wendys, it was maybe 5 cars in front of me and it took me 25 minutes to get to the car behind the speaker and at that point I had to leave the line. Absolutely the slowest service of any fast food place on the island, I don't know if it is the equipment or the employees, but you are likely to be served quicker if you sat down at iHop across the street. Do you know when it comes to chain restaurants? It's all about the people that work there in this place. It's got good people. I don't eat much fast food, but occasionally I've tried the chili up and down the West Coast and this is the best Wendy's chili I've ever had. The fries are super good. I got a chili cheese fry chili on the side so I got to taste it. It's got white beans and navy beans and red beans very good and if you can get a hot fresh baked potato you're in luck. 5 stars for our drive-thru attendant Tyler. Good job bud. We had originally went to Dairy Queen to get ice creme but they were out apparently...so we came to Wendy's. The drive-thru was PACKED! We had a pretty complicated order but Tyler came through for us and got everything squared away super quick. I got a Spicy Chicken sandwich which was hot and fresh...hit the spot nicely. I recently learned Wendy's changed dry oil and currently use Trans-fat free oil. Today I was hungry for a chicken burger and stopped by the drive-through. The $5 biggie bag included a chicken burger, fries, chicken nuggets, and a drink. The chicken burger was tasty. The fries were hot and fresh. The chicken nuggets were so good, and I totally recommend the BBQ dipping sauce. The line went quickly and our food was ready at the window. read more

The rating is based off comparison of the many Wendy's I've previously been to. I hardly write reviews for major chain restaurants... but I don't know WHAT is up with this Wendy's but my goodness, these burgers are the the best of Wendy's I've ever had! Therefore, I had to comment. I read on their wall in the dining room that they get their meat from local beef so to keep the meat fresh and never frozen... that may be the reason why. The local cows are super tasty, so I wonder where in the area they get it from. Everything else about this Wendy's is typical. Typical workers, typical dining room, typical food. Nothing else really to comment about, aside from the fact that they have one of those endless soda creation machines and that the salads are always awesome and filling. Won't customer service I have ever experienced. My elderly father slipped on an unmarked spill and almost fell. When my parents asked the employee nearby for help cleaning it up she ignored her and when my mom repeated herself she called my mom rude 4x. The manager working was also rude to my parents and didn't care, giving them an attitude and walking away. My 7yo daughter was with them and was frightened by the encounter. Went there for breakfast this morning. We walked up to the door and saw they didn't open until 9:00, no big deal, we walked back towards our car. An employee opened the door and invited us in, even though the dining room didn't open for 10 more minutes. Quick, efficient, friendly service and the food was fresh and delicious. My friends and I went here and it was the funniest thing ever! The customer in front of us, who may have been here before seemed to be real picky about his food. Have been here several times. This a Pretty solid Wendy's. Staff friendly. They always get our order correct which is important when we go through the drive thru. Fresh hot fries are a hit or miss. This Wendy's has been awesome! I had issues with my car one night and couldn't crawl underneath to get the piece that was dragging off! The Manager came out herself and helped me. Great meal thought honestly their costumer service is what encouraged me to make this review. They say "I love you" to everyone who goes through the drive through and if you say it back they mark it on this huge wall full of tallies. Hairy mess.... I want to start off by saying I've never been so grossed out not once but twice in a day. Go to treat myself to ice cream I find a hair. I go back they upgrade my ice cream to med. The hair is bigger and I'm done. Refunds won't fix what needs to be done. If your employees have hair of any sort hair nets should be required when working with food. Alright, where to begin. I order a small nugget, small fry, and a small frostee. It's about 5:30 on a Sunday and drive thru is a little busy but inside is calm so I go inside thinking this order will take no time. I order, I wait, and I wait. All of a sudden another patron has a heart attack, no big deal right? Well not to the staff apparently since they left it to the other patrons to dial 911. Without a doubt the worst drive through manner I have ever experienced! Today, a girl working gave me the WORST attitude when I asked for a moment to order. She then proceeded to get even MORE snippy with me when I started my order.
