I was finally able to try Raliberto's Taco Shop and started to write a negative review but decided to wait, give it a second chance and try a couple different menu items. However, I'm sorry to write it did not get any better. On my first visit I was stuck between two and three stars but after the second visit I've decided it deserves a 2 out of 5 star review from me. There was nothing about the food that impressed me and I left both visits feeling like I could make it better myself at home. If I had to compare it with the other taco shops in town it would come in dead last. Overall, I felt like the food was under seasoned, proportions were slightly to a lot smaller than other options in town but their prices where competitive and on par for the area. Finally, they have a cleanliness issue. I drive a full sized truck so I'm able to look in the drive thru window and see the cooking area and floor. The first time I noticed the floor under their cooking area was dirty and had what looked like two wadded up pieces of paper under the table next to the wall. I kind of brushed it off thinking it's later in the day and the kitchen is bound to get a little dirty during the day. However, on my second visit, about 7-10 days later I noticed the floor still looked dirt and the two pieces of paper were still sitting in the same spot meaning they hadn't swept or cleaned the entire time, or perhaps they did but just don't take the time to get down and sweep or clean under their cooking station table. If the business happens to take the time to read these reviews my suggestion would be to clean everything, but especially pay close attention to areas your customers can see directly. A customer going through the drive thru has nothing to do but look in the drive-thru window and either watch employees cooking their food or look around to see how clean the restaurant is....especially the floor and the area where their food is being prepared. Finally, the place is a solid 3/5 star place to eat and you will leave happy but I had to drop it to 2/5 based on the cleanliness of my two visits. read more

After recognizing some changes in our other local favorite Mexican restaurant, my colleagues and I decided to give this place a try. It's much more casual than the sit-down restaurants we're used to but the food got positive reviews from each member of our team. The employees (there appeared to be only 2 on shift) were kind and , though English wasn't their first language, they asked clarifying questions to get our orders right. There was a pretty good variety of options from which to choose, which made it feel more "authentic". We served and bussed ourselves but that cuts down on overhead and allows customers to get more food for their money, so I appreciated that. read more

For the record when this place first open I absolutely LOVED it and would've given six stars!! The food is great...if they get your order right and that's always a big IF. The food has been on the decline in the past couple months. It's almost like they got new cooks and have all the right food, but they just don't know how to put it all together. I had to scramble my own eggs to add to my breakfast burrito and always have to put my carne asada burrito in the microwave before eating it to melt the cheese just a little. read more

Been here 3 times and every time we've been disappointed. Ordered a breakfast burrito that took forever and there was literally no egg AT ALL and all potatoes. And the salsa had no flavor. Don't waste your money here read more

I visit Raliberto's Taco Shop a lot and I always enjoy my order. Today was no different. I was walking past on a daily walk for exercise and decided to stop for lunch. I wasn't sure what to order, so I went with a "bar favorite", nachos. The Super Macho Nachos are NOT BAR NACHOS! They are probably the best nachos I have ever had. The chips are hand made in the restaurant, the beef is sliced pieces of steak, the guacamole is fresh, everything about the nachos tastes GREAT! I WISH I could order these nachos at my favorite bar! One last thing, the portion is big enough for two to nibble on our for one to make a pig of themselves! . I couldn't stop eating them! My only complaint is there weren't any jalapeños. Maybe they have to be requested? If you like Mexican food and haven't given Raliberto's Taco Shop a try, you're missing out. read more

If you like food with absolutely zero flavor, then this is the spot for you. Would rate negative stars if we could. We ordered carne asada fries, a California burrito, and rolled tacos. Asada fries, the only flavor was the fries themselves. How does guacamole not have flavor? California burrito..... well, I believe California as a whole would be outraged at how bland the burrito was and would inevitable start rioting over the fact that this called a "California" burrito. And If you ask for jalapeños in your burrito, get ready to eat at minimum of 15 whole jalapeños. I believe they added that many in hopes to disguise the boiled flavorless meet. If you put a Batman mask on a donkey. It in fact is still just a donkey. If you get the rolled tacos I hope you enjoy the wonderful mouth drying flavor of sawdust. Long story short, would highly recommend going anywhere else and not wasting your time and money on this place. read more

Went in here for breakfast burritos. We both had the machaca burritos. Just the right blend of meat and egg. Portions were a bit larger than anticipated so come hungry. About 10 with tax. Service was relatively quick. Ambiance is upscale Mexican restaurant/deli. Clean and not very crowded. Very good selection of soft drinks and traditional juices. Good place to visit after a day on the water or working in the sun. Parking is plentiful. Try it you'll like it! read more

I have wanted to try this place for a couple of weeks and lunch before decorating for the boat parade was the perfect opportunity! I went thru the drive thru and ordered a carne asada torta and requested both a red and green salsa. Tortas require the salsa or they end up being like an American sandwich with mustard or mayo. So I tend to put a bit of salsa on the sandwich for every bite. Both salsas were adequately spicy and the green was definitely the better of the two. What was a bit different than I am used to was the addition of pico to the sandwich which added a nice tang you normally only get from the salsa you add to the torta as you eat it. The carne asada was great and had a rich beef flavor and more importantly... No gristle which can happen if they use cheaper cuts of meat. Was a little skeptical of trying this place because I hadn't seen many good reviews. But we wanted to try something new. I ordered the chicken taco salad, and I was not disappointed. I would have added more cheese and sour cream personally, but the chicken was flavorful, and the shell was crispy and good. My bf ordered a couple of fish tacos and a barbacoa quesadilla. He said he really liked the tacos, but the quesadilla meat was kind of bland. They don't seem to prepare orders first in first out. I ordered a single bean tostada about $4 my sister came in several minutes after and ordered a meal and a burrito and hers was ready first. Stopped by here twice. First, ordered one chicken and two asada tacos. I received three asada tacos. The beef was dry and had very little seasoning. I felt that I needed a drink to wash them down. The salsa verde tasted watered down. Went through the drive through for this order and I felt like I was inconveniencing them by his tone. The second was an asada torta. The bun was nice and toasted/crunchy. Good amount of guacamole and toppings, but the beef was DOUSED in grease and lacked salt. When I ordered this, I went inside to order for takeout. I am so happy this place exists and that they have late hours! I've been twice so far and have tried the enchilada, burritos, and tacos and they have all been delicious! The tortillas and taco shells are homemade and you can tell, not to mention I love that the taco shell doesn't turn into a soggy mess the second they put the meat in. Perfect! The salsa is also homemade and has plenty of spice and flavor, especially the green sauce. If you like spicy you won't be disappointed. The price is also very very reasonable and you get plenty of food for it. Raliberto's is now going to be my stop after my Thursday evening meetings instead of Taco Bell. I was spending about $10-$15 at Taco Bell; for less than that, last night I walked out of Raliberto's with a burrito, shredded beef taco, rice and beans for just a smidge over $13, all homemade. I ordered 2 burritos in the drive thru total for a total of $40. Just a plain chicken burrito with rice beans and cheese. Other burrito was the same thing. I asked about it and how last time it was way cheaper and he says "I dont know we are still figuring out our prices" Then i get up charged $2 for everything im just thinking then what the hell COMES in the burrito?? I only got super plain stuff. Also service was horrible after I asked he was not helping at all and was very rude. Ordered two hard tacos. Always though it's pretty hard to mess up a taco but these caught my wife and I by surprise. Meat had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR. Completely dry and bland. A little bit of lettuce and the tiniest amount of shredded cheese and that's all you get. No pico. No lime. A small scoop of really really dry rice and beans for over $13.00. Nope. I'm sure there's other things on their menu that are better but stay away from their #1 combo platter. I had to drench it in red sauce just to get some type of flavor. The MEAT was old, there was only 5 shreds of CHEESE, and YELLOW LETTUCE....and 8 small chunks of UNRIPE TOMATO, and to top it off, the tortilla was wet and soggy.
