This was my favorite fast food restaurant when I lived in Oak Ridge. I was shocked when I saw the low rating, but I quickly did a check on the one star reviews and found they came from people who had posted very few reviews and what reviews they did write, they also gave 1 star. I decided to give it a chance and was happy to find it is the same terrific Wendy's I enjoyed when I lived here. The only thing that changed was the fries. They're better. Great fast food. Let me tell you... stop by to get me and my kids and wife something to eat before we went to the library. Ordered a biggie bag ordered my girls The baconator fries-- just some non melted shredded cheese,not even melted and a slap of bacon thrown on there not even cut up. My wife's burger didn't even look like it was cooked all the way.. I asked for two different sauces,I didn't get the sauces- so tried to call and somebody just had the phone on and wouldn't even answer it. Order taken by a deaf old man. Pickles? they are mandatory, don't bother asking for them to be left off. The old man does not know how to work the register and can't explain the pricing. One of the super hi-tech multiple choice pop machines was leaking water big time, food was lying on the floor and the tables has food leftovers, unused napkins and sauce packets on them. I'm basically never up on time to get breakfast at any day food place and when I do, I usually choose mcdonalds because their hashbrowns are bomb, but I've started a job that requires me to get up before the sun comes up and woke up this morning desperately craving a bacon chicken maple croissant from wendys. The sign on the window says they open at 6:30am, I pulled up at 7:30. They weren't open, no problem, maybe they just got a late start, right? So I sped over on my first fifteen minute break to again try to get the sandwich that I was craving, knowing that by my lunch break, breakfast would no longer be an option. I pulled up at a little after 10am to one again find that they still weren't open so I was still unable to get my breakfast. Please don't post that you're going to be open at a certain time if you aren't going to be open until literal hours after the posted time. read more

Wendy's in oak ridge got a facelift recently including a coke freestyle. This place has very friendly and speedy service too. I decided to try their new breakfast out and was pleased. I got the Maple Chicken croissant and seasoned potatoes. It was pretty good! read more

Half of my order was missing, the other half was cold. I went back to get it resolved and the power was out, which I completely understand is not the restaurants fault. But when some teenage kid immediately starts yelling and arguing with me in the drive through window after I ask what could be done that is where a line is drawn. Went inside to talk to a manager (which I had to ask for multiple times) to try to get at least a coupon instead of my money back and the kid, along with another teenager, was still trying to argue with me. The entire staff was completely unprofessional and incredibly rude. Asked for a manager, waited, and nothing. Maybe teach your employees some basic manners and you would not have so many negative reviews. Good riddance read more

I went through the drive-thru. I know that doing that you are always rolling the dice as to what food you actually leave with, but I had been working in the yard and wasn't all that presentable. The food tasted pretty good. I caught the error they made in my drink before I left so it got fixed. I guess my real complaint is when I order a Chicken BLT I expect there to be at least a little bit of bacon involved. Apparently there isn't or maybe in my case there just wasn't. I am not sure. Perhaps I should thank them for watching my cholesterol for me but if I were watching my cholesterol very well I wouldn't be eating at Wendy's to start with. read more

I'm not sure what happened to this place but it's going down hill fast. Service is terrible and the place is a mess everytime you go in there. Drink machines barely have anything to choose from and the food has went downhill also. I am sorry to say that the new evening manager has let the 5 star Wendy's service drop to a 1 star. Tonight was the second occasion that we had to wait over 10 minutes, at the drive through speaker, before our order was taken. We were told "it will be just a minute" three times by the manager. The person in front of us probably waited a total of 15 or more minutes before he actually got his food order. It took at least ten more minutes ----- and no one was in front of us. The manager fuddled around and finally gave the drive through head set to a very competent high school age young man. Our food was sub par, and the frys were burnt and rubbery. One would hope that if it took 10 plus minutes to get two burger meals , and one chicken nugget meal out the window, the french frys would be fresh and hot. I failed to include one other visit to this same Wendy's about two weeks ago. That time, we waited in a drive through line of about 15 cars. After waiting on line for 5 or so minutes, we parked and my daughter went inside to order. She came out ten min later, without any food. She said that it was chaos behind the counter and no one was taking orders. One employee talked to my daughter as they were walking off the job, and said "it is hell working here, I am out." In the 15 years that we have been a patrons of this Wendy's - we have NEVER had over the top terrible service. Wendy's - Exhibit A: The Burnt Chewy French Frys. - Fast Food Near Me - Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Every since 2021, you have to ask for ketchup or you get nothing. Okay. Then a few months ago, all of the cokes started tasting funny. They were out and decided to choose diet for me instead of saying so and letting me choose another. Every subsequent visit the cokes tasted nasty and I was told no it was definitely coke. Apparently they were mixing sprite or a lot of water in them. They finally stopped that bs but now the food is total garbage. I am not sure if they just aren't training people right or got new crappy management but sadly this wendys is best avoided now. Went this afternoon and the $8.65 dave's single combo (small), was nasty and felt dangerous to eat. The patty is starting to be about the size of a 90s mcdonalds burger and was also in the heat lamp so long it was hard on the outside and dry as a bone. The bun was not cold or warm but everything else on the burger was cold. Cold cheese, lettuce, condiments, pickles on a super old cold patty. I do not take food back because A: it takes forever and B: I don't want my food spat in out of menace. Needless to say, I will not be back to the joke ridge location. Not entirely surprised however since joke ridge can't cook anything right at any restaurant. Must be all the radiation and pot. read more

For the first time ever I found a scrub sponge fiber deep within in my Baconator French Fries. EEwww! I informed the cook at the grill promptly about my ghastly discovery inside my food and received a offer of a free small frosty and a confirmation of the identity of the foreign fiber in my food. Lucky for me that I found it in the fries and not in my teeth. Other than the stow-away scrubber sponge fiber the food quality was great. The turn around time from order to on the table was quick which gives this Wendy's the thumbs up for lunch time eating from me. read more

Ordered for DoorDash to deliver. Burgers squashed all into one bag whilst an order of French fries got a bag all to itself. The burgers all had massive amounts of onions on them which tells me that the order filler was either illiterate or lazy because with a severe allergy to onions, I was unable to request the option. Overall the food quality was garbage. The order was a nice size order too. Needless to say, from my previous experience, Wendy's just lost a pretty loyal customer. read more

I normally don't bother reviewing fast food restaurants, but after our visit today I wanted to really take a minute to give some praise. We have a family of 6 and we went through the drive through for lunch today. As luck would have it, today everybody wanted chicken sandwiches. Rather than complain about the number of chickens they had to prepare (as the Wendy's on Route 66 did last week) they apologized that there would be a 5 minute wait -- and then said, "Would you like a free frosty since you have to wait so long?" Three of us wanted a frosty, and they graciously gave us three of them. The staff was courteous -- actually, very friendly. Even with the amazing number of local fast food restaurants (Sonic, McDonald's, Taco Bell, etc.) I would continue to frequent this Wendy's simply based on today's visit. read more

How rude, they take everyone else's order first when all I had was a pickup order. I spoke the short curly haired lady at the cashier, no name because she had no name tag on. After I had told her the name on my order she ignored looked at me & chose to ignore me. Then, she proceeded to take the next persons order in line without attempting to communicate with her team so they would at least make my order. I was completely baffled even the dude placing his order was shocked to see this and pointed back at me to see if she would acknowledge me yet she still proceeded to take his order. I had to ask 3 different people where my food was after 10 minutes when she had finished clearing the line she finally took the time to tell her team I was here to pickup my order. 5 minutes pass I get no communication about my order so I had to ask her again how long until I have my food and she tells me 10 minutes!? Yeah, I was pretty upset, they could had my order already being made while she was taking her orders. Afterwards I decide to confront her about this telling g her I've been here for 10 mins already. To my surprise the manger an older lady steps in and takes up for her employee and argues with me about having to get in line. Matter of the fact I was in line she chose not to take my order and all your customer in the lobby took notice. Why would you try to argue with me? Instead of just hurrying up to get the order and simply apologize? It wasn't until I threaten to call corporate when she finally decided to apologize and informed me she would speak with her employee. Like come on? Do I really have to tell you how to do your job? I decided not to call but here is your 1 star review for your highly unsatisfactory service. read more

Oak Ridge is limited on restaurants. Some of the chains do well here some don't. This Wendy's usually has food of a higher quality than I see in other cities. the vegetables and meat seem to be fresher/higher quality but the buns and cheese are the same low quality I see elsewhere. Given the price and service vs the quality of ingredients this is one of the best Wendy's I've eaten at. read more

I love this place! I actually worked in this store years ago, but it is one of the places I will still eat at after working there. They keep everything clean and tidy, switch out their food as it is supposed to be, and usually excellent customer service. The food is always prepared correctly, and it's good to see a restaurant where the managers will pitch in if it's needed! I love this place, and their great quality for the price. read more
