We arrived I. The lobby to order just past 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Lobby was empty. Drive thru was empty. 5 staff members visible inside. One couple in front of us ordering. They did seem to be having some difficulty u der standing the menu or making decisions, not sure which. I waited patiently while the young lady taking their order seemed to put their whole order together slowly. Not sure what the other 4 staffers were occupied with as no activity was visibly happening. Two guys walked in behind me after about 10 minutes. Couple in front of me got their order and refused the sandwiches so we started all over again. No one even made eye contact or said hello, no "I'll be with you in a minute." Nada! I felt it was completely a prejudice issue and no one was going to wait on the white couple. We obliged with what they obviously wanted and left. Plenty of other burger joints in the area. Don't bother trying to get something to eat here. If you are white, no service. If you are other, poor service. Snake eyes whatever you roll. read more

The Wendy's on Richmond road Monticello is horrible. It has went down over the years. I used to take my children to this location all the time I will never go there again. Today I took my grandson and son to have lunch. The line seemed to be moving rather quickly until the man in front of us had to wait it seems like for eternity to order. The cashier obviously didn't have a problem with the men she was waiting on but when we were next in line she took her sweet time taking our order. She was rude, unprofessional and had a horrible attitude problem. Why work if you don't want to do your job. We got inside of Wendy's at 2:15 p.m. and didn't leave this pathetic establishment until almost 3:00 p.m. workers were coming from behind the counter holding conversations with the staff as if they were customers. The Manager was on the phone and didn't care how quickly customers were being taken care of it's obvious they don't value their customers. I refuse to spend my money at a place that doesn't value my time or service. Drive thru was backed up as well. They were all on their phones during company time how ridiculous. Do you're self a huge favor don't go here the service and wait are really bad. Everyone had attitudes and was no help at expediting service this Wendy's is a huge joke. -5 stars is the only accurate rating this place deserves. I tried to order a double baconator with no cheese and no mayo. They gave us a single, WITH cheese and mayo. We told them it was wrong but the extremely rude girl at the drive thru insisted we ordered a single....we did not. She said they couldn't remake it because we didn't order a double. We did, it was her mistake for putting in the order wrong. We just pulled off because I'm not gonna argue with some lazy teen who's gonna lie to my face. Based off the other reviews I see about this location this is a common theme here when they make a mistake. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Spent almost $20 on breakfast here only to get home and be disgusted. Ordered 3 Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits and they were HORRIBLE. The chicken was old and hard and the biscuit tasted stale. I had to spit it out and throw it away. Ordered seasoned fries as well which were undercooked. Only thing we consumed were the lemonades. Unbelievably bad experience. Pulled in to the drive they line at 2:30 PM, due to size of the line it took 20 minutes to get to the speaker. Sat at speaker another 5 minutes. The employee simply says "we ain't takin no more order's " i ask why not ? "We ain't takin no more orders " all the lights were on and cars were 6 to 8 deep behind me. No apology No explanation. Wish I could give 0 stars. The last 2 times I've went to this location, no one ever answers or greets me on the intercom. 2 weeks ago, I waited 20 minutes in the breakfast line before I had to pull off to make it to work on time. Only 2 cars were in front of me. You would think they would ask the first car to pull over as to not hold up the line. Then, I stopped at 8:45 this morning and made 2 circles passing by the intercom and the service window trying to catch a staff members attention but it was a ghost town. No one ever even acknowledged me. It's sad that Wendy's customer service has taken such a tremendous dive over the last 5 years. Would give zero stars. I've tried to go twice. I thought the first was a dinner rush and gave up after 15 min in line. This time I went in the afternoon- waited over 30 min to get to the speaker. Sat for another 5 (even after saying hello twice and being told to "hold on"). Then pulled up as the car ahead of me was leaving and waited again. There were at least 5 people walking around not doing anything (and they had the doors locked because I watch 2 people try to go in while in line). They seem to only do one cars order at a time and even with that they do it incredibly slow. I've never been to such a slow and inefficient drive through. I know I will never go again. read more

(This is a review of fast food joint - specifically Wendy's, not to be confused with the finer dining places in the area) I'll step it up a notch because this Wendy's is NOT as ghetto as some I've been in around the 'Heights' area. It also seems like they give two shi%s about the food sent out to customers. Problems in the past have been rectified promptly and even gave us some freebies for the next visit. I guess the only thing I would change would be the parking situation, it gets a little cramped with one of the grocery store exits directly across the street. I will also agree that Wendy's do a great sandwich and as Justin stated: The Spicy Chicken Sandwich consistency is very important to some of us. I'll add the chili as my side and I am one happy camper although the new 'fry' is quite delicious. read more

WORST. WENDYS. EVER! I put the blame solely on the manager for having the store understaffed. Why does it take 20 minutes to get a burger and Frosty? Even at peak times they only have one person taking orders. And when I was there today she had to go back and help the grill staff make burgers. It is rare that anyones order is filled correctly as evidenced by the number of people returning their food. About 50% of the time my food is made incorrectly. When the drive-thru line is out to the street you know that things are running slow. The last time I went there I saw the long line at the counter, turned around and left. This Wendy's takes credit cards, which is a plus. The staff here is very friendly, so they earn an extra star for their attitude and the consistency of the Spicy chicken sandwich (the only thing I ever order). More like germ central at this place. The food was good (fries and chicken nuggets) but the place was poorly managed. The one trash can near the woman's restroom, near the counter, was somewhat overflowing, everything appears to be dirty near the back of the store, there was unclean restrooms, and the mens' bathroom smell horrible, and only one trash can was overflowing. The interior is old and in need of renovation, which the smell from the restroom spilled right into the lobby area, so avoid coming to this Wendy's because it is dirty. Some of them look like this. This is the worst Wendy's I've ever been to. Not only is the drive thru line always a long wait, they messed up my WHOLE order. I didn't realize until I got home. My fiancé ordered the new barbecue chicken sandwich and asked for no onions or pickles. He got onions and pickles on his sandwich with no cheese . Then I ordered a home style asiago chicken sandwich and they gave me a spicy chicken sandwich. I'm not good with spice at all so I couldn't even finish my sandwich after the second bite. sat behind the car in front of me at drive up window for 4 or 5 minutes heard her keep saying hello to the speaker. Finally she said she was going to pull up to window. I pulled up along side of her and she rolled down her window. She told me their speaker wasn't working and she they were taking her order. I backed up and told the people in line which was quite long now that the speaker wasn't working pull up. I am going to call manager and ask them do you or not one of your employees care enough about your customers to take 1 minute and put a note out there saying pull forward.
