Older man in front of me asked to read the items back to him and the worker said aggressively "it's on the screen" then said to the customer "I don't need the attitude" who says that to a customer??? I went go the drive through tonight for dinner and I'm not impressed. First of all, they forgot the cookies which is fine, not a big deal. The problem really was that the food was cold and felt like it had been sitting out all afternoon and the burger was all lop sided and barely wrapped. They recently renovated the Wendy's on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley. I must say it looks great! The Manager there was very friendly and greater customers, he also was changing the soda machine. A Manager that works hard has staff that works hard, leads by example. Also the bathrooms where super clean. All in all it good for fast food. The building looks great. Showed up at 4:59 to pick up a Door Dash order and the manager rudely said that the dining room is technically closed and that I have to take the drive-through to pick up the door Dash order even though the door Dash order was sitting on the counter. If I could give them no stars I would ! I ordered $40. Worth of food and I got no sauce or ketchup for my fries. After the fact they asked me for what kind of sauce I wanted. I dont think this wendys has EVER gotten my order right. And when you confront them about your order being wrong/missing items they catch the worst attitude. They always forget my cheese sauce and when i confront them about it they tell me i have to pay for it and no matter how many times i tell them i already payed and they just forgot to put it in the bag, it never clicks!! I use to work for Tom and Dave at riverhead Wendy's and def know that's not the type of customer service they would expect from ANY employee! This Wendy's has a night updated layout with a diner kind of feel to it. There's a flat screen on the wall for entertainment and they have one of those new soda machines. It was pretty empty when I went for lunch. Ordering and getting the food did not take long at all but I witnessed them get someone's order wrong while I was there not once but twice. Nasty manager claimed my card would not work yet it works fine anywhere else. they got nasty when I asked for the card back and started calling me names. When I asked to speak to the manager he said I am the manager and you have to talk to me outside your not allowed inside. All because he was nasty to me and not competent to use a cash register. I once read that the chefs of the world head for the nearest Wendys when they are out and about and need a drive-through window. Since that time I have always gone to Wendys when I found myself in the same situation. Frankly, I love their salads and usually enjoy the spicy Baja where they grant your request to replace the chili with grilled chicken, and will give you any of their salad dressings (my favorite is the lemon garlic Caesar dressing). I had a hard time over the years forgiving them for discontinuing their Greek salad pita sandwiches but today I am on an onward and upward path, frequenting their window about once a week. A delicious treat is their Mocha Roaster which they allow me to custom build: One squirt of the chocolate please and just half of the vanilla frosty you normally use; the whipped cream is okay, though! They even supply me with a little card that I get stamped each time and am awarded a free drink every fifth time! Lastly, I want to mention that like no other business around they allow us to use the coupon booklets left over from Halloween to take a full bag of 10 junior frosties home for the freezer, and they accept these booklets far beyond the expiration date. Oh! And thanks to the manager a long time ago, I was advised to order a Junior Cheeseburger with everything (hold the mayo please!) for a lunch under $3.
