I specifically told them that I wanted ketchop and onions only on my hamburger and they loaded it up with Mayo and all the things I did not want. When I called I got a snoty unconcerned smart ass response! So many of the fast food places in Williamsburg, Virginia are going out of business because the owners never check out their places and the hires are morons. Many will just ignore the drive through and when you ask them about it, they say it isn't working. This is the Wendy's located on Richmond Rd toward Norge and Toano. The address is 6666 Richmond Rd. After COVID happened, I've tried to be more supportive of businesses and encouraging even though ultimately this is a review site. Even though this is the closest Wendy's to both my house and work, would not return and would rather go to the one further down the road. From A-Z, they sucked. I ordered through the Wendy's app about 30 min before, paid in advance, and got the notification to head through the drive thru as the order was ready. When I got there the drive thru was about 15 cars long and wasn't moving at all for about 10 minutes. I waited about 5 more minutes and again not moving. So I got out of the line, parked, and went in since I had preordered and it said the order was ready for me to pick up. Well...inside wasn't much better. There were 4 other people in line (2 people who had already ordered, 1 elderly gentleman waiting for someone to take his order, and 1 lady who I later discovered was also waiting for her pre-ordered meal (although she indicated it was preordered thru the door dash app). I spent 20 minutes waiting in that line-- the cashier just up's and disappears after taking each order and is gone for about 5-10 minutes. So now, total time waiting for preordered food is 35 minutes. She eventually got the elderly gentleman's order, and fixed the preordered door dash order for the lady in front. When it was finally my turn, I let her know that I had preordered through the Wendy's app and showed her the payment screen and order. Before I could tell her my name for the order, she said she would check the back and with the drive thru line. I overheard her asking the drive thru manager about my order and the manager said "well, that's her problem, I can't cater to her needs right now". And again... disappeared for another 7-10 minutes. By now, there are approximately 8 people standing behind me and looking out the window, drive thru line has moved some but still lengthy. When she finally came back, she looks at me and says "how can I help you?". I had reminded her that I was here to pick up my order and she says "you're not the only one here and we can't drop everything to help you, you have to wait like everyone else. Door dash is not the priority." By now, I was upset but I explained again the situation of my order being ready I just need to pick it up and that it wasn't ordered thru door dash, it was ordered via the WEDNY'S app! But again to no avail. While she way away-- I was trying to check with a different staff member who was working on restocking fry cups behind the cashier and he would glance over but try not to make eye contact and wasn't interested in helping the lengthy line. I gave up and tried going in the drive thru again. 6 cars ahead of me, but I finally got to the speaker and let them know I was here to pick up my order and told them my name (that was on the order). They proceeded to say they don't have the order and am I sure I'm at the right Wendy's. I confirmed the address with them and told them it was already paid for and if they wanted to see my confirmation number and order history from the Wendy's app. They said "no, we don't have the order. Are you sure you're at the right address?" I confirmed the address and she said yeah, that's our address but we don't have your door dash order. I said again, it's not a door dash order but a mobile order via the WENDYS APP. She says "sorry, we don't have it. Contact door dash for a refund". By now, it's been about an hour that I've been here, and I was ready to just cut my losses. Sent an email to customer service and asked for a refund since I never got my food. If I didn't know any better would've thought I was getting punk'd. I will never again put myself through this torture. The perfect combination of badly managed, badly trained, and bad attitudes to put their customers through hell. Very upsetting. read more

Well at 6pm on a Sunday night, there was a line at the drive thru so I thought I would go inside. So I did. I waited and waited finally I asked if there was someone working, the woman didn't understand she got another person and the other lady told me with cash I have to go to the drive thru.....waiting for 3 people then was going to give me a large and small. This poor Wendy's has such a bad reputation! I stopped on the way home from a road trip from Philly to West Palm, FL, and hit a LOT of Wendy's for my son along the way. This place was wonderful compared to some of the foolishness I encountered. Food was on time, all correct, and staff was friendly. My son got his dragon toy and all was good! No lines, plenty of parking, safe, all staff wore masks. No complaints! read more

Fries were Old. Drive through personnel were rude. Said we couldn't hear because they are right by a train track and a train happen to pass by and they started to speak as of us saying we couldn't hear irritated them. My wife arrived and ordered. People were courteous. Then we find out why (another reason) $15.00 an hour is ridiculous. Not only did we get "double cheese", a slice on each side of the patty. We just went through the drive-thru, got two small frostys. Easy, quick. The only only weird thing was, it took forever to get our change. The cashier had difficulty making change off of the $3.31 purchase w a $10 bill. The manager came over to assist, not sure what the problem was. Not a huge issue but noticeable. Do not do Door Dash orders from this Wendy's. They will get your order wrong then tell you that they were out of the item anyway so it is your fault! Then they will tell you that you can come there and get your items but not offer a refund! Luckily Door Dash was helpful but I will not ever order from this Wendy's again! Bad attitude! read more

Came in trying to order dinner. We ordered two salads and one baked potato. With medium drinks. For starters I had to use a kiosk. The ordering at the counter was not an option. When given my drinks I was given small cups. Then it took 26 minutes to get our salads. I think they went out back and pulled the lettuce from a farm. No explanation why it took this long. Lastly every table in the establishment was greasy and dirty. You would think one of the three employees who were standing around, could of wiped down tables. I guess that's my responsibility too.
