    Inkjet

Came here for after work drinks. Service here was good. The server checked on us occasionally to make sure we were enjoying our drinks. I chose the Inkjet cider, which was delicious, tasting like berries without being too sweet or hoppy. The live music seemed to be having trouble with the speakers because there would be a high pitched feedback. Overall, it's a good place for a casual hang out and I look forward to eventually trying their food.

Generous portions of food are served here. We were seated very quickly and our server, Roberto, gave us an appropriate amount of time to settle in and then he took our drink orders, exotic water for both of us. We then perused the menu and realized that it changes depending upon the holiday. I got the classic Reuben with cornbeef and a side of unsalted French Fries. Hubby got Fish and Chips along with malted vinegar. This restaurant is quite large with a separate "events" room which is large enough to seat about two dozen guests. Enjoyable meals.

Stopped by for lunch today and had an enjoyable meal. I had the fish and chips, while my wife had a classic corned beef reuben. While the menu wasn't elaborate, there were enough options to make it interesting. My fish (cod) was cooked perfectly, and the portion was more than ample. The Reuben was just right, and fries were fresh and plentiful. While we didn't partake today, they have an extensive drink menu with a wide variety of beers and cocktails, and a nice amount of mocktails so everyone can enjoy!

Scrolled on yelp to try to find somewhere new to eat. Came across this restaurant. It is near colonial Williamsburg, near the campus of William and mary. It is amongst other restaurants and shops. Upon arrival, we walked inside, however we decided to sit outside as the weather was nice. The inside is a fairly decent size, which dim lighting. They have a full sized bar as well. There is limited outside seating, about 2 or 3 tables. Upon arrival, we received complimentary popcorn. The menu has lots of different options to choose from. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We started out with the alligator bites, which were really good. We enjoyed both of our entrees. I would definitely come back.

Welp.... I'm excited to say this was good. Almost 4 stars. I went because of a feature photo on yelp... but the experience was not great. The fried gator was interesting (my first time) The Wong tong Mac n cheese was ok nothing special The burger is where I had to reduce it to 3 stars from 4. I couldn't finish it.... It just was not desirable. Ok taste, it was dry, not enough cheese sauce and just borderline burnt. The beer (Virgina Pilsner) was cool. No issues there. My friend had a pasta with mushrooms / beef which was watery and the mushrooms were bad. Horrible taste. The Williamsburg food market is tough... especially in that part of town a block away from the college.... The service was exceptional to be honest so that's a plus.

First time here and it was good. Got the scallops Mac and cheese for app and good cheese ratio. It wasn't too busy and the decor is cute. Service was great. Server was Alex. Love the popcorn before hand. Will be back.

Rumors around town, new bar keep at The Hounds Tale. Hmmm, should I go with the Bourbon Flight or the Ol fashion. I had ti test the bar keep skills, and they were spot on. Awesome Ol Fashion Ashley. Thank You Our server was Hannah, stellar serving skills attaining to all our needs. She must have ESP, Hannah was able to provide our wishes without asking..Thank You Ginga! I also noticed the other servers tonight were all over it, customer smiles and really having fun. Thank You Hats off to the Chef(s), the crab stuffed potato skins were the bombdiggity..serious "starter"! The crispy chicken salad was so good, the chicken was certainly delightful and the greens in the salad a bit more weird lettuce, would have preferred romaine, maybe a mix?

We had dinner at Hounds Tale on a Saturday night in the summer at 5pm. By the time we left, around 7pm it was very busy. Overall service was good. You can tell that there is still a shortage of servers as the night got busier. The atmosphere is fun and heavily dog themed from the art to the menu selections. The bourbon menu was pretty good, and most folks will find something they like. We had the crab dip for an appetizer. The smoky flavor was wonderful but the dip itself was a little too creamy for our preference. My partner got the Masala Chicken, and I had the Poke Tuna Nachos. Both were fresh, and very good. The chicken was marinated and tender and the coconut rice was a nice sweet addition. The tuna was very fresh and the wasabi sauce was not overly spicy. We both started out with beer. I then had the Spaniel Sangria and an Espresso Martini. The sangria was absolutely delicious. The espresso martini left something to be desired. If you're from a larger metropolitan area eating here, I'd suggest not ordering it, because you will likely be disappointed. Overall a very lovely experience and we will likely be back to visit again.

made a pit stop on our way down to the beach and so glad we stumbled across this place. we were with our dog and 1 year old and Destiny made us feel at home right away. food/drink - started off with the downward dog cocktail & ordered the burger and tikki masala for entrees. both really good, didn't expect the tikki masala to hit but was pleasantly surprised. environment - there's indoor/outdoor seating that are both dog friendly. inside there's plenty of treats/toys you can select for your furry friend. my favorite part of this place was the hospitality we felt, never felt rushed and Destiny did a great job walking us through the menu and recommendations. will definitely be back.

The fresh catch meal included a simple house salad, and it took 30 minutes for the salad to arrive. Shortly after the salad arrived, our meals came out, and they were lukewarm. I had the grilled mahi mahi with lemon dill butter over some roasted fingerling potatoes and corn. While the fish itself was a nice piece and well prepared, its not-quite-warm temperature made it less appetizing to eat. The same was true for our other meals: the seafood pot pie and the mahi mahi fish tacos. While our waitress offered to have them all reheated, we both didn't have time as we had theatre tickets and reheating the tacos with their toppings, the pot pie with its pastry crust, and the seared fish didn't sound appealing. The restaurant's dining room was comfortable, and the bar area looked vibrant. Hopefully they are still breaking in their new facility, as we liked dining with them in their previous location.

We went on a Sunday afternoon at 3 PM and were promptly seated. The atmosphere was fine, pretty open and unexceptional, but modern and new. Big screen in front of us playing the Sunday football game. Server was quick to get drink orders in, 12 oz. Commonwealth Modern 'Smores stout for $8 and my wife got a $16 Peppermint Espresso Martini. I appreciated the nice Commonwealth stout and the price was fine. The Peppermint Espresso martini was mediocre and very overpriced considering that. Our food took a long time. Like 3 apologies from the server long. There were 2 parties of like 10 that were in process when we sat so I get it. But I do feel like something should be given when it's 45 minutes plus on food. Anyway, on to the food.... My kid is not much of an eater and they did not have any type of kid menu. Ended up with a soft pretzel for $13. Add cheese fondue and it's $16. It was very big and delicious.... At $16 it's hard to be excited about it though. The cheese fondue definitely made the pretzel. I was not overly hungry and got She crab soup $8.50 for the cup and a Caesar salad $5. The soup was good, they add the crab on top so you can see they give you about half a cup and for the price it was good. Definitely not the best she crab soup in the area, but good enough. Caesar was just croutons, Parmesan and dressing and was fine. My wife got the "fresh catch" Chilean Sea Bass for $33. It was kind of fishy tasting. Fresh fish is rarely fishy. It was overcooked, horribly plated and the blackened seasoning had minimal flavor. It was bad. We asked for some tarter for it and it made it tolerable. The server offered to replace it, but having just waited 45 minutes for food we weren't going to chance something else, particularly since we were with another couple. While we were waiting I had 2 $3 special Budweisers and my wife had a $14 Snowflake Margarita. They were all fine. My kids sprite was $4 which feels outrageous, but I don't know what places are charging these days for sodas. I normally don't pay attention. Bill came with another apology for all the waiting and no discount. Tough to make it as a seafood restaurant when you are struggling with your seafood. I heard their seafood nachos are excellent.... Maybe I'll give them another chance for those. My first experience was not a good one.

We were there for a Monday lunch, can't speak to the dinner service. We also weren't drinking alcohol that day, though I thought the beer flights looked tempting. One of us had a cheeseburger that was requested to be "pink" and was overcooked and just blah. One of us had a chicken salad that was served with no chicken. Someone from the kitchen rushed out with a soup bowl filled with chicken slices that looked like those Perdue rotisserie chicken slices you buy at the grocery store. Dumped them on the salad. She did apologize. Our third order was a Restaurant Week special fried oyster salad vouched for by our server, Bailey, who was pleasant and efficient. It came with corn, black beans, mixed greens, cotija cheese and a spicy dressing. It wasn't awful but I think the overall concept was weird. Fried oyster taco salad? The few oyster pieces were tasty. Maybe we were there on a bad day, which happens. The chicken salad fiasco was funny. Not a place I would drive across town to try twice. Maybe stick to burgers and plenty of beer.
