I feel sorry for whoever owns this place! We sat in line for 20 minutes only to be told that they're all on break. There was three more cars behind us! No one answered the drive thru speaker so we pulled up to the window and a young man came to the window and asked what we ordered. We said we didn't order and he said,"Oh, hold on." He went to speak to someone and came back a few minutes later. "We can't make you anything for 40 minutes because we are short staffed, there's only three of us here." One star because the food is edible. However, their soda is way off. So watery it's undrinkable. Do not drive to this location unless you want to sit in the drive-thru for *at least* thirty minutes. Doesn't matter what day of the week or what time of day. Their customer service is shoddy, at best. Went through the drive thru. They could only accept cash which was not an issue. I order a chili and a root beer. When got to the window they were out of root beer. So I switched to a Diet Coke. Worst fast food experience of my life. I pulled around to order and all the worker said was "power is off." I said, "excuse me?" He proceeded to then tell me to "get the fuck outta here, man, our system isn't working." I said ok, please tell me your name. He wouldn't. This only applies to the drive thru workers ( I used drive thru service) on December 14th, 2022 between the hours of 8 p.m & 10:00 p.m. 1.) No hair nets on ANY of the employees that I encountered in the drive thru. ( afros, poofy big pony tails, long red hair) 2.) gloves that employees did have on were being used for phones, payments, windows, moving hair away from they're face, etc. 3.) no name tags on ANY of the employees 4.) repeated foul language from several employees 5.) employees texting & talking on phones there were 6 cars in front of me & 7 or 8 cars behind me. the orders were wrong, the frosties were melted smh. The people that work here have poor work qualities. They are mostly high school students that are constantly looking at their cell phones and not doing their jobs. The kitchen is a mess, food was undercooked and the drivethru always takes 20 minutes or more. Kids were traveling in a group as a mix of people that do and do not work there wasting time. Waited 20 minutes before we could get out of the drive-thru lane; still 3 cats ahead of us. Person who was supposed to take orders was actively NOT taking orders. Horrible customer service. I tried going to Wendy's for dinner and order there via takeout inside the restaurant but both entrances to the restaurant were closed. So then I go to the first pick up window and inquire if I can order food at the pick up window since the inside is locked and I don't have a car to go in through the drive thru. It's hard for me to give fast food five stars. But it's a relative rating. Compared to other fast food restaurants, this one is the best. Freshest, best assembled food around. Rarely do they forget my stuff, but when they do, they are very nice about fixing their mistake. All kinds of interesting people working there who actually seem involved in their jobs...not just spaced out passing the time as their body mechanically passes food to you. Used to to really enjoy this Wendy's. But over the past 2 years or so I've watched the customer service go down the drain. The workers look very stressed at times. Other times they look like they don't care to be there. They run out of items pretty often and the last time I went to dine in they closed their doors an hour earlier than they normally do. The Wendy's in Willoughby Rte 84 & Rte 91 is a joke! They don't even deserve a one star. It should be zero. I went through the drive-through and asked for the family chili and could not get it. They said I had to order it on the app? What?? I told them I'm already here, so why would I need to order it on the app? They could not give me an answer! I got 4 large chilis instead. Please tell me what the difference is? I tried to get an explanation and nothing. I can't get a family chili, but I can get four large chilis to go? This Wendy's stole money, verbally assaulted me, and refused service to me! What I wanted was a full salad - but only lettuce and shredded cheese. They charged me 8 dollars. I was annoyed with this, so they took a dollar off. I didn't have the time to deal with this, so I paid for my meal and left. Looking at the salad, their is about a half pinch of cheese on it, with mountains of lettuce. I call the manager. She fails to apologize, says that amount of cheese is all they put on it, and that it is my fault I ordered that way. So I call corporate and tell the story. Now, I am already furious about this. I then realize that they failed to give me my PAID FOR small fry. I drive back to the Wendy's. At the intercom, a confrontation is started between me and the cashier. She yells at me to leave her drive-thru. I pull up to the first window, and the woman has locked me out. I pull to the second window. They are arguing about me for more than two minutes. Eventually, the man who likely forgot my fries opens the window and says, "We have the right to refuse service to you, because you swore at us. Have a nice day." He grins, this likely 40-year-old man, knowing he has bested an upset, tiny little teenager. I never receive my fry. I call corporate again. I explain the situation, and they laugh at my hilarity, saying that my reaction was justified and that they will be getting back to me in the next two days. Do not go to this Wendy's. Do not accept their awful, slow, harassing service. I had to go to Arby's for more cheese, and the cheese they gave me was free. read more
