When my hard drive crashed I contacted them to see about having them repair it of retrieve the data. From there online presence, you would think that they are local, but when I called them they said that I would have to send the drive to their lab which was out of state and that it would take several weeks to get back to me with a free estimate. They also stated that it sounded like it would cost between $500.00 and $1650.00 to repair it. Since I really wanted quick service, I decided to shop around. I found a "real" local service, called CCW, that was able to look at the drive the next day. They not only were able to evaluate the drive right away, but were able to fix it for $140.00 and had it done within three days of the first call. I would have just left them a great review, and moved on, however, I got a call from this company today following up on my initial contact. . . The rep asked if I was still interested in recovery and I told her of my great experience with the local company and contrasted it with what I had experienced with them, she proceeded to disparage the competitor, saying that I was lucky that it was an easy fix and that I should be happy that it wasn't more extensive as they would have surly ruined the media if that had to open the drive. I found this to be extremely unprofessional! I DO NOT recommend that you use this service particularly when there is another vendor that do it better and more quickly for far less money and hassle.

I have 2 pets who shed a lot of hair, so we've gotten our fans cleaned multiple times. The other day someone actually asked me if I was using a brand new computer after the fans/ keyboard/screen was cleaned at Computech. Service is always super fast and thorough. I don't know anything about computers, including my own laptop and these guys will never make you feel silly (As a woman, going into other tech shops, this is a common issue for me). Earlier this year, when my boyfriend was getting his computer "checked up", the tech noticed signs that the fans were close to dying - Computech got into contact with us and offered to order and install the fans. They were extremely transparent about the cost of the fans and labor, making it clear that they were providing service at an extremely reasonable price. We will go back to these guys time and time again because of their friendly, fast, and well priced services.

The PC consultant there from Software & More, Jerry, who helped build us our first custom desktop back in the early 2000s started his own company in Cottonwood Heights called REVO Technologies when S&M went out of business. We purchased our second gaming/workstation "Stryker" desktop from him eight years ago...AND a 17" "Falcon" gaming desktop as well for my personal use. Despite a few glitches/bugs here and there, both of these last two PCs have been performing admirably...as we've continued to patronize REVO for upgrades, repair, and tuning. The most recent purchase last week was for my wife's "Stryker" desktop which needed some Win10 tweaks due to some mistakes I made last spring with User Account Control and administrative privileges... oops. I dropped the desktop off with Chris - the repair tech - on Monday last week and by late afternoon he had it finished, updated, cleaned, and working like a top! I paid for the diagnostics/repair ($70) and the tuning/cleaning service ($70) which eliminated all of the nasty dust that had collected on the inside of the tower case. Yuk...but money well spent! We got it back home and the new Canon MF753Cdw color Laserjet All-in-One printer drivers installed perfectly. My wife is back in business! Woo-hoo. It was a complete 180 from the initial experience. It did take me some time to reach them but once I did, the company has been professional, efficient, and, most importantly, very polite. It seems they are taking measures to address the gap and have uniformly good service. Based on this I am updating my review to reflect that on average, the experience has been good (very bad beginning and a good end). I recommend file retrieval.
