I called to let them know that a mistake was made and spoke to two of the rudest, most unprofessional women (one was named Hilary) I have encountered in medical setting. No apology. I described the only issue I have been having, and he prescribed me an anti-depressant because it would also help with my symptoms, although I'm not experiencing any of the symptoms associated with depression. Understandable that medicine can be used for treatment of other things. Totally irresponsible to prescribe me a new medication that is known to have side effects that can alter your brain chemistry and then tell me to schedule a follow-up in ONE YEAR. We've been with Clinical Associates since the mid '90's. I like my primary care physicians and the…read moreother specialists I've seen at the site. However, over the last 6 months, I have experienced MANY office communication problems. This is across the board with specialists and primary care physicians. The providers' staff DO NOT return phone calls or respond to messages. I had to physically walk into the back of my primary doctor's office, (without an appointment, and no one at the front desk) to get a referral for PT after calling four times with the request. The nurse was concerned she hadn't gotten the messages, and I showed her my call log to verify the contacts. This is just one example, we have had three other concerning encounters involving cancelled appointments (on their end), records not being forwarded to specialists outside the site, and an inability to schedule or reschedule appointments as no one returns our calls. Primary doctors and nurse practitioners retire or resign and there are no replacements, the existing doctors are stretched thin. We unfortunately, after 30+ years, will be looking for a location.

I had an immune response to a steroid shot. I was having severe Cognitive and neurological issues, memory loss as well as many horrible symptoms, such as lyme and mold infections that arose from weakened immune system. I was unable to detox the steroid properly that caused havoc on my body. It even depleted my hormones. Right away, he called me Bipolar. I went to the ER several times with confusion, neurological issues, severe low BP, high heart rate when standing, severe weakness and fatigue and many other issues. I was unable to advocate for myself due to brain inflammation effecting my ability to communicate properly. No care from the clueless ER docs and labeled as anxiety ridden and gaslit me. I trusted Dr. Adashek for so many years and when I needed him he belittled me and was verbally abusive to me and called me "a hot mess" when I was having serious neurological issues and going to the ER several times for help. He had no idea of my suffering and thought it was a joke! What kind of caring, respectful doctor speaks to a patient suffering in any way this way? He is a disgrace. He then tried to prescribe dangerous medication to me he had no right to EVER prescribe not being a psychiatrist for one and not knowing why I was suffering the way I was suddenly. To choose to just prescribe such habit forming drugs to me when I have never taken meds my entire life is beyond dangerous! I had never been depressed or had cognitive issues in my life. I always had a smile on my face and saw him once a year for my yearly appt. I was just married 9months prior and so happy planning my honeymoon. Instead of him recognizing something was very wrong with me, he didn't care to help me and labeled me as Bipolar. People do not wake up one day bipolar and unable to think clearly. I really can't believe how cold and incompetent he truly is. He hides behind a facade and I wish I had seen it sooner. He didn't want to be bothered to help his patient of 26yrs. Shameful. I suffered for months until I found a wonderful functional doctor that got to the root cause. His Nurse Practitioner, Ariel Paskin, tried to give me testosterone when my levels were normal and very coldly told me to go to Sheppard Pratt when I was having severe fatigue and confusion and unable to get out of bed due to mitochondrial dysfunction. A female NP that is supposed to care for women and make them feel safe. The way she treated me was disgusting! They both had no concern for me whatsoever and labeled me in an instant without having a clue to what was really going on. They are clueless and have no right diagnosing anyone on medical matters. Dr. Adashek likes to play psychiatrist, but he isn't one, and pushing addictive medications like Klonopin or any of those class of drugs on me was being reckless with my life. I was treated horribly by Dr. Adashek and his NP. Going forward, I would never feel safe with him or trust him. I would never recommend him or his practice to anyone.

Besides the unprofessionalism, for example, she has hung up the phone on me twice and she also broke the HIPPA laws by providing my son's principal with his personal information. She makes us feel unwanted when we arrive and if I have to ask her for any assistance she blatantly acts as if I am disturbing her. I have asked to speak with the office manager regarding the preaching of the HIPPA Laws and the way she portrays their office as the first face a patient sees or the first voice they hear, but I have only been able to leave a voice-mail or leave a message with the front desk to pass on, and I have never received a respond leaving me to believe they do not care about my concerns. My son suffers from ADHD and Anxiety, and he does not want to switch doctors as change is difficult for him (and me as well) so he tells me he doesn't want to change doctors. I do like the doctor, the nurse Practitioner is awesome and I suggest your go-to. The only other problem we do tend to have often is having them send in my son's medicines refills on time. It is very stressful as he needs them every 30 days, and these are medications that can affect him mentally If he misses even a day.
