Don't use them at all they will send you out with a raggedy bus and they will leave you stuck. How do I know I worked briefly for these thieves for three weeks never got paid. They literally wouldn't pay me and got made because I refused to work free. Trust me I had passengers on the bus and they had to end up paying for the parking of the bus because Wertz credit card was declined. I only had 2 choices 1 make a u-turn in the bus or 2 the passenger pay the 200.00 fee. You know what happened the passengers paid the fee, otherwise I would have had to back up and make a u-turn. Imagine trying to make a u-turn in lanes of traffic going in only one direction, but that is what you get when you chose a Company that only cares about their bottom line. once they get your money they will send anything out on the street and call it service. Please ma'am please sir if your desire is a comfortable ride on a bus that is safe mechanically this is not the company to call. If you desire to sit on the side of the road for a few hours then I would say have at. If not, I would suggest you hire a company that likes repeat customers and offers you excellent customer service. UNFORTUNATELY WERTZ IS THE WORST! Zero stars: absolute vial company. They put 50 people including elderly and babies on an unsafe bus with unprofessional drivers who 1 hasn't driven a coach bus. The bus was never inspected and outlets not working. The last 2 hours the ac went out and the AC belt broke causing the bathroom smell to fill up the entire bus. We were in Wyoming for a week and they sat on their butts and did not try to fix the issue. They had to waiting for hours at a mechanic the DAY OF while they tried to finally fix the ac belt which wasn't successful. That's when the mechanics discovered that the engine belt was about to go out and indeed it did. They had us stranded it an inn that smelled like smoke for DAYS forcing us to wait for them to fix their bus which never happened. They finally fixed the engine belt and ac belt, guess what, 2 minutes heading to us their alternator went out. People were stressed and completed devastated, lost days of work, people even started to get sick!!! They are a disgusting company and need to get sued and taken down!!! They did not even do their duties so we had to get another coach bus company to then drive to an airport to get back home. Not to mention they did not pay the mechanics and the owner told the driver to drive the bus with the broken alternator, and when the bus breaks down, that's when they'll send a bus. We set up guest transportation for our sons wedding two weeks ago. While I did add an additional (earlier) return trip a week before the event , the driver did not have that information - luckily I did make contact with him earlier in the day to confirm all the details, since I was not going to be at the hotel pickup location and it was rectified. We had a small issue right from the start and the driver didn't want to help unless someone paid him directly. On way to wedding venue, the driver came to an underpass that was too low for the bus, he had no idea what to do - luckily a good friend of mine was in the front seat and could see on his navigation to just go straight taken care of. Then, at the end of our event it was pouring, driver informed the guests leaving on the first trip he would not be making a second trip because of weather and time frame for last pickup. I had to go out in the pouring rain, in my gown, to tell him he had no choice. He complained to me he had been driving since earlier that afternoon- (then don't take another contracted job). We had a wonderful young man (a guest) who helped with other guests and ran umbrellas back and forth for walking to the bus - as he was returning the last of the umbrellas to the venue our driver told people on the bus he wasn't waiting for the return of this young man!??!!! We later found out a few of our guests had to tip him to wait. I'm sure there are other things people didn't want to tell us, luckily our friends knew we would want to know. I made a call the following Monday morning, spoke with a wonderful young lady who was very apologetic, took details and was going to pass along information. By far one of the worst companies to work for. Not only will they try n have u violate DOT compliances like driving over your 10hrs, and not having a ELD But they are often late paying there employees by giving them bad checks. Claude n terry are some of the worse ppl I have ever driven for they need there KARMA asap! I did a trip to Wyoming with a group of church ppl n the AC belt broke they were so negligent that they didn't even care that the customers had to drive 30 hrs with no Air on a bus. They simply don't care and do not know what they are doing. Idk how they haven't been fined or had a major accident yet! Do not work for them or hire them to drive u anywhere! They don't even hire drivers with bus experience which is crazy! read more

I'm an account manager in the corporate transportation industry, and in nearly 8 years I have never quite had an experience like the one I just had with Wertz. When my staff called and asked Wertz if they had availability to do a 5hr motorcoach job on a Thursday evening dinner event, Richard said they could do it but everyone in the office was going to be gone, out of the office for a week for a wedding. When I called back just to check if they would be available by phone at all to make minor changes if our client requested, and to give driver information - I was told by Richard verbatim: "Honestly, we don't want to be bothered with work this insignificant". Wow - I was taken back, why not just say "no, we aren't available" - calling the work insignificant, was only meant to be insulting and hurtful. I would never trust this company to serve my client's needs with this display of service - I can only imagine how poor their expectations are from their drivers. I have never had a great experience with Wertz in the past, but it's for certain after that call I will not have any experience with them in the future. Being so purposely disrespectful is unacceptable. Anyone who feels they can use their patrons as a punching bag by insulting their work and making their day less enjoyable frankly does not deserve success in the service industry. read more

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE THIS BUS COMPANY! I rented four school busses to be picked up and dropped off at a certain location, thinking it would be a simple request. But apparently, for people who's occupation it is to drive, they don't know how to! They got lost on the way to pick us up and caused us to be an hour late for our event and then they needed help getting to our event! They don't all have a gps in their bus, so if you order multiple, they all follow one bus so if one gets separated from the bunch, you can forget seeing that bus come to your pick-up location. It was absolutely the worse experience I've had with a bus company, and they ruined our entire night. read more

I have used Wertz Motor Coach for charter trips for years and only once had a problem which they resolved quickly. The drivers are courteous and the buses are clean. You do need to know your itinerary before you call because the rate is based on time and miles. But they always quote the lowest price compared to the competition. read more

Wertz is the worst. They where supposed to be at the pick up location at 4:00am. When the company was called about the bus being late they informed the patrons that they THINK the driver will be at the destination at 5:00am. Unacceptable ! This meant they where an hour late and we had to stand outside in the cold for another hour. They never sent another driver and even had enough nerve to tell me the driver read his schedule wrong. On top of all of that we where way behind schedule on the 4 hour trip. On the way back the driver came back an hour early and actually called the facility which in turn caused them to cancel all visits of any of the bus patrons. So he was over an hour late and he cut our visits an hour short. Then the patrons that where to be picked up before us he didn't get so they where waiting outside for over an hour for him to show up. When WERTZ was called they where of no help they kept trying to make excuses. On top of all of this the driver was speeding in a tour bus, he was answering his phone and he even used the GPS on his cell phone to get to the first drop off and we had to give home directions to the second destination. They suck and I would never recommend them to anyone. This company should be shut down. read more

Do NOT use this company!!! I called to get a quote for a mini-bus to use for my wedding to get guests to and from the hotel, and Richard seemed perfectly nice and helpful. I called back to actually reserve the mini-bus and told him it would be great if the bus could take 1-2 trips back to the hotel during the reception (if necessary), in the event that any guests needed to leave early. He told me he would have to charge me extra for every trip I wanted to make (the hotel was less than 5 miles from the venue). I asked him why I had to pay extra when I was already paying for the bus for the specified time period we agreed upon. Basically I was paying for a bus driver to sit in a bus for 4 hours, but if I wanted to use the bus then I had to pay extra. When I expressed my concerns he told me that he knew he wouldn't have trouble renting the bus for that weekend so he could charge whatever he wanted.
