Dr. Shelton is the best I have ever been to for doing this pain free. During the 3 hours I was there Dr. Shelton, & 3 different Assistants worked tirelessly to make me as comfortable as possible. We called to ask for a refund for the crown and office visit and they told us to pound sand. Dr. Hayslip botched a root canal and it had to be corrected at another practice. The faulty equipment the Dr. was using had the battery die while the probe was inside the tooth and he yanked it out with force causing trauma to the tooth. After the root canal, crown and months of pain the tooth now has to be extracted. Dr. hayslips practice has cost us A LOT of money, missed time at work and lots of stress with nothing to show for it. I told her the crown felt too big for my mouth and was causing bite issues and pain. She adjusted one time and after that, decided it wasn't her issue. She tried to gaslight me into thinking I needed a root canal and that I had an infection. She refused to take the crown out and said it wasn't in her "plan of care". After many months of jaw pain, headaches, neck spasms, inability to eat comfortably and so much more, neurologists, oral surgeons, MRIs, cat scans, x rays, orthodontists, endodontists, root canal specialists, dentists, and invisalign for pain relief, I finally got the crown removed for the issue to possibly be a pinched nerve in the tooth that she put the crown on. It's only been 24 hours and I feel such a huge relief. Here's the kicker. I have to pay out of pocket for a new crown ($700) because the original dentist (Fisher) needs to redact the claim on their end through insurance in order for a new one to be covered. In the last 8 months I have spent thousands of dollars in out of pocket expenses for something she could've fixed immediately by simply listening to her patient. This dentist puts her feelings and ego ahead of the needs of her patients. 0/0 recommend.

I was okay with it to please my son, but she told us she wouldn't service us, so I told her this is a form of discrimination of which she disagreed just because we choose not to believe a lie. She chooses to follow CDC guidelines as her bible , but we don't trust the propaganda they have spread since 2020, and if they are vaccinated, aren't they "protected"? Are we this stupid that they can't see who's sick and who's not???! No thanks. Glad to leave. Should have changed a long time ago. I was shocked at this requirement and moved on to another dentist that did not require a prepayment - deposit just to be seen. I realize some people do not meet their appointments but I am not that person. Perhaps $25 like many medical entities but was shocked at this requirement. This will not be my dentist.

When I expressed that I was in pain after the procedure, the staff member assisting me (Rhea, if I recall correctly) showed little concern and simply stated, "It won't last forever," when I asked how long the pain would last. No aftercare guidance or recommendation, such as taking ibuprofen, was provided. Here's a taste of what could happen to you, should you choose to let them be responsible for your dental care. I've had multiple fillings done at their office, with at least two of them resulting in re-dos because of the poor work done the first time around. I was even contacted after one of my cleaning appointments after they reviewed x-rays to come back and get another one repaired at no charge. Flash forward to beginning of January, I show up for my daughter's cleaning appointment and present them my new insurance card. My employer had switched providers for the new year and the informed me that they did not accept my new provider. That was fine. I had them cancel any of my family's standing appointments so that we could find a new provider that would accept our insurance in the area. However, they kept my appointment to fix that single filling they did incorrectly at no charge. I confirmed my appointment when the reminder came through and didn't hear anything else from them. I come to the office for my appointment and no details were confirmed at the check-in window, I was never called up. So I get back to the exam room with my tech and I ask her to please make sure that everything is okay with my filling being done at no charge still, because that was the original agreement and since they don't take my insurance anymore, I didn't want any surprises after they were already done working on me. I saw her review my chart where it said the filling was to be done at no charge on at least two different entries, but then she said that since it had been over a year they would no longer be able to do it at no charge. She consulted with the doctor and he confirmed. My question was why I hadn't been contacted previously and notified of this change to an already agreed upon price/procedure and they didn't really have an answer. My time taken off work isn't valuable to them and apparently, as a patient here, you are supposed to be familiar with all their internal rules and policies. Needless to say, I left and didn't get the filling replaced due to their inability to communicate their internal policies. Everyone I spoke to just had an excuse but no reason as to why this wasn't communicated to me even a month ago when they confirmed they were keeping the appointment. If I had known there was going to be a charge, or a statute of limitations on when they would honor their word, I wouldn't have bothered keeping the appointment or going in and wasting my time.

They used a vibrating water brush (like a very high-powered water-pik) that is awesome at getting around your gums, and instead of swishing mouthwash at the end you get foam mouthwash in a soft tray that you hold in your mouth for a minute. My hygienist was Peggy, and she explained (in real people words) what she was doing as she did it - I hate when dentists tell you that your T4 is colluded with your XMV 3rd molar and other dentisty words. She also didn't ask me questions when my mouth was full of instruments - I appreciated that. They had a TV in the room that I could put on whatever channel I wanted. They have an oral surgeon on site, which I unfortunately won't be able to review as one of my wisdom teeth is so impacted I have to go to a specialist. They also offer bleaching trays and 6-Month Smile, which looks like some kind of Invisalign. I would highly recommend them.
