We had a porch fire April 2021 and did not have homeowners insurance (we had forced place insurance…read morethrough our mortgage company). The fire affected the main bedroom, the roof, and caused extensive smoke and water damage. The insurance inspector gave an estimate of around 35k (structural only-- we had to just throw away our bed, tv, everything), while the hired public adjustor hired by the contractor and the mortgage company field adjustor estimated more than 80k of damage. After nearly a year of negotiating, the mortgage company put the 35k check in escrow and in March 2022 gave us 2 weeks to hire a contractor who would do the work or they'd apply the check to our mortgage and we'd continue living in a half- burned house. The one we'd been working with all year claimed it would be a liability to do the work for less than 80k so they essentially dumped us with 2 weeks to find someone else. Enter Luke. We already knew he was awesome due to work he'd done at my in-laws house, so we called him a bit desperate. He was incredibly kind and conscientious, and told me that he wouldn't leave us living in a half-burned house. We went through the insurance estimate line by line and he agreed to do the work, although I'm sure it was at a loss to him. The porch is bigger and better than ever, the carpeting was replaced with gorgeous vinyl plank flooring, they even helped with items not covered by the estimate. I feel truly blessed that Luke gave his time and effort to restore our home-- it looks better than before! He was very involved in the work, and double checked everything (paint colors, ceiling fans, stain colors, etc) to make sure we were happy. Luke truly went above and beyond, and we will be eternally grateful for his incredible work. If you're looking to have any type of home repair, I HIGHLY recommend him. I worked for 'the list' for nearly a decade and can confirm that workers like Luke are few and far between. In fact, I'm not sure he has a peer. His work is superlative, but his personality make him a cut above the rest. Thank you!!!

After weeks of trying to reach him, he wanted to charge me to do the work that the receipt states were already completed. Now he again wont respond to phone calls. My relatively blissful ownership experience ended one July day, when a sudden hail storm affected a small area of Indianapolis. As the hail began smashing my roof, I knew I was in trouble. Having never needed roof work, I wasn't sure whom to hire. Several of my neighbors had turned to Gladiator Roofing and Restoration, and they were greatly satisfied. One day, the company's general manager happened to be in the neighborhood, so I struck up a conversation. It was the beginning of a great business relationship. My account was immediately turned over to Shane, who immediately determined I was in need of a new roof. He walked me through the insurance claims process. Little did I know what a headache that would become. For brevity's sake, I was put through the proverbial "ringer" by my insurance company. Despite months of argument with them, Shane and his team fought for me the entire time. Shane told me many times, "I'm taking your claim personally," and "what your insurance company is doing to you is wrong." Considering Gladiator Roofing and Restoration was doing repairs on multi-million dollar homes, my relatively small roof claim was hardly a source of major revenue for the company. It is for that reason I truly believed him. Once the insurance claim was approved, Shane's crew immediately went to work on my home. Everything was done well and exactly on time. I hardly even noticed the crew had been at the house. The company even came out on a Sunday to repair my storm-damaged fence, which the insurance company refused to cover. Gladiator's follow-up has been tremendous, and they did not take a dime until they knew I was satisfied. No one gets excited to hire a roofing and restoration company. Mike Speek Jr was the rep who came out to give us a quote. He was awesome, professional and gave us all the info we needed. He wanted to make the sale and really sweetened the deal for us which was awesome. We went with an aluminum fence and wanted to make sure it was durable and would last. The warranties they offer are more expansive than any other company we got quotes from. Which makes us as the customer feel very confident in our purchase knowing that if anything were to go wrong, or break, or bend, we will be taken care of.
