We camp but we have had friends stay in the cabins. We stayed in the wooded sites kindling is our favorite, big sites easy to pull thru and lots of space for the dog to hang out too. Fire pit is always cleaned up and looking nice. Water and sewer hook up area is clean and looks nice too! We have stayed in the sites facing the lake too and those are nice as well. I have heard the lake is beautiful but we have not been out on the lake yet! We always look forward to our next stay!

Back then a good resort cabin was one where the screens weren't ripped and the screen door closed to keep the misquotes at bay. Boy things have changed. Scott and Beth's Otter Tail Beach Resort is nothing at all like those resorts of my childhood. I stayed in one of the smaller cabins and it was modern, clean, and very functional. There was a nice complete kitchen area, a TV, and a nice shower right in the cabin. The woodwork and detail was awesome. In some ways the cabin was nicer then my house. When I'm in the area again, I will definitely stay here.

We got there today and I was so excited to have a burger. It did not disappoint. The buns are amazing... The burger was tasty and had amazing toppings. Mushroom and Swiss with fried onions for me. California burger for my friend. This is not a fast food restaurant so, knowing you may have a little wait, sit at a picnic table and enjoy life while watching the lake across the way. After checkout the next morning, we got a call from Sweet Janis letting us know that the "hatch" of the flies was unexpected and not normal and THEY REFUNDED OUR STAY!! These owners are super nice people and beyond fair in their dealings. Free K-cup coffee and popcorn in the office, they actually bring popcorn to you most evenings as you sit around the campfire. Free donuts, juice, and coffee by the lake your first morning there. A fun "holey-board" tourney is a highlight. The only complaints about this place I have ever heard are by entitled folks who don't believe in parking boat trailers in the provided parking area and are otherwise rude rule-breakers in general! Rules are there to protect both the owner and you. The owners are NOT sticklers and will work with you. We rented a window A/C and they didn't charge us because it ended up being a cool week and we only ran it a couple days. The grounds are well-maintained. The driveway and area around the office are paved, so my granddaughter had a blast riding her scooter. Cabins are quite nice, spacious, and comfortable with nice kitchens... no slackers here. Newer cabins are VERY nice, and some have central air. Volleyball, playground, and a very large lawn for games. They have boats available, including pontoons. There are several docks and a swimming beach with lots of water toys. The lake isn't really big, so that means you don't wake up in the morning to jet-skis! Very quiet place, and they even have nesting bald eagles. Very close to Nevis and a nice drive to Park Rapids for shopping or to Walker for shopping and the casino. This is infinitely better than our previous resort home, both in ownership and in overall amenities.

Poor reviews on other platforms but we thought it was great. The camp sights had trees and brush for some privacy. It was quiet and very clean. The bath house was dated but cleaned every day. We paid $15 per night for a boat lift. The family that owns it was very friendly and helpful with fishing tips. We'd go back.

We had very low expectations going in, but ended up being pleasantly surprised and had TONS of fun! We stayed in Cabin #5, which is the most private. We loved the location and front window view of Lake Minnewaska. Though everything was a little "dated," the cabin was very clean and comfortable. We had plenty of room, though we spent most of our time outside of the cabin! Firewood readily available for purchase and lots of rental options. We rented the pontoon and had a blast. Randy and Judie (the owners) are very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an affordable cabin experience on a beautiful Minnesota lake!
