this place is unprofessional and unacceptable. The staff act like children, they're on their cell phone and they joke around way too much and look at social media way too much. I recently had a , I arrived 30-40 minutes early to my appointment. I wasn't seen until 12 PM, there were families that were coming in right after me, and they were right away. Either the facility is against certain ethnicities, I'm not a racist! I was not raised or born as a racist! But this facility has their own ethnicity group I can say, majority of them Hispanics, but yesterday me and another woman waited way longer than that we were supposed to. I'm European, and when I go to the facility, I'm always arriving 30 minutes or 45 minutes early so I can be seen on time. I was not seen on time! there was a black woman in the waiting room when I got there, and she kept complaining that she arrived 45 minutes early and was still waiting to be seen. There were families coming out from the back after being seen and they were leaving. They had plenty of staff, yet they kept apologizing, saying that they were super busy. Which was not the facts! it was unprofessional for the staff to call people in the back 10 or 20 minutes after their scheduled appointment. I was finally called in the back around 12 PM, I was pissed. They took my stats and measurements and had me sit in the back on a chair because my room was not ready yet. I sat in that chair for maybe three or four minutes, then all of a sudden, the same black woman that I saw in the waiting room with me. She finally was seen right after me. She also complained that she was here for over an hour now and was finally being seen. The nurse that was helping her out apologized and said we're sorry we're very busy. I left in my head and I'm like no you weren't! You had a lot of families coming out from the back after being seen. this facility is very unprofessional and unacceptable. I convenient for a lot of patience, but are on documented, it's really frustrating that they allow undocumented patients be seen faster than the ones that actually have documents. I used to go to the facility in Whittier, I was going there for a good couple of years, my Physician/Doctor. I have been a patient of hers for over 10 years. Last year January I found out that she left this facility and ended up getting a new job elsewhere. Without even a warning. I felt very uncomfortable with the new doctor that took her place, the lady hardly English and didn't know anything about my health record my past. Which I felt very uncomfortable for, so it took me a while to actually find a doctor understand me. I finally found one in the city of Downey, but this facility is just too much. This facility needs to be checked up on and needs to be fixed ASAP! read more

I wrote a review 9 days ago. I am 29 weeks pregnant. Today I had an appointment at 2pm. 2 days ago I received a Text msg (unfortunately I deleted it) to be their at 1:45pm. I was their at 1:30pm. I checked in. That's all I did, just checked in. When I asked how much long until I get called the nurse answered with "you will be called in before we close" (They close at 5pm) I left the facility really upset & almost in tears at 3:15pm because I wasn't called. I wasn't seen. I have requested my Medical Record over 1 week ago & I brought it up today and they just told me that they will call me when it's ready. If I could leave 0 stars I would!!! Appointments are USELESS!! This place is dreadful, as much staff as there is, you will be waiting for hours. I had a appointment at 10:30am arrived at 9:30am only to depart at 11:42am. A little bit more than two hours and this wasn't a physical or a difficult procedure. Simply went in for my eyes and ended up having to fill out forms at the beginning and end of the consultation. Not to mention how rude and disrespectful certain staff acted. Since the pandemic there have been certain restrictions for extended visitors, since that I entered alone and as my daughter was letting me know where the car was located and the staff member was eager enough to come in between me and her and close the door. If she didn't step away to the car, he would've hit my daughter. Luckily we are not the ones to escalate situations and left it as is. Pros: Nice area & good parking. Cons: The staff, the wait, the 5 minute consultations with the doctors, no follow up, they NEVER answer the phone. If you urgently need an appointment good luck with the triage outside because of COVID, they won't even let you talk to a receptionist inside, they'll just say she's busy at the moment and have you wait. Waiting is totally fine, most clinics have you wait, but this place will have you wait an hour saying they're busy. Basically, if you have options avoid this place. They never sent me my referral I needed for the dermatologist. Then when I called I was on hold for 30 min and then someone hung up on me. They never call with my results like they say they will. Once I went to get a urine test and they lost it so I never got my results and when I called they said I never left urine. This place is a mess and it should be shut down. The staff needs an attitude adjustment and Dr. A is the most condescending Dr. I've ever had. Basically all they do is draw basic blood, refer you to others and do follow up appointments to drain your medi cal. Had a scheduled about for a Friday morning. I decided to call to confirm the time I had written for myself. (Which was 11) when I spoke to the lady she said no your appointment is at 10am. I was glad I called because I didn't want to miss! I sign in at 9:52am and wait and wait.... we ask the front desk what's going on, she says your appointment isn't till 11. Wow!!!! So we sit and wait till 11. We get called back finally till 11:35! We get into a room only to find gloves, cotton balls, caps off of needles and a dirty cups just sitting in a sink! I wouldn't even give this place 1 star, My boyfriend has been seeing this office for the past 2 years "trying " to figure out what was causing his back pain. To find out admitting himself into ER in December since he was starting to lose all of his feeling in his legs making it hard to even walk. ER figures about his issue after 2 years & Now He has been trying to get his disability insurance & this office just loves to slide everything under the table . I'm sorry but bills don't stop cause your hurt that's why we have Disability Insurance . But not if your Doctor Office doesn't do there damn job correctly . Very unprofessional to say the less. If i could leave zero stars I would. Went in to get the COVID vaccine for 4 members of my family and we were crammed into a small room with others. Waited more than 30 minutes when they have no other patients. The service was horrible, staff is inept and don't know how to treat their patients. Felt very uncomfortable to be placed in a small room with more than 10 people. After waiting for 30 minutes, I told the lead nurse I wanted my vaccine cards back because i was no longer going to wait, and they come tell me that they had already written in the card that they had already given us the dose when they hadn't. Very bad service waiting time is up to 2 hours and 39 minutes in small waiting room with 7 to 15 people. I don't know why just for a blood test I have to wait 1 hour and 50 minutes. And they do approximate about 10 lab a day is funny I come from Kaiser Permanente blood work it take about 3 minutes to do. Dont go here unless you want to be ignored and neglected and treated like your not important. I been going here because I had medical. I am currently at the end of my pregnancy but through my whole pregnancy my ob treated me like I didn't know anything about pregnancy. I had to keep reminding her this is my second child then she would be like oh then ya I knew what I was doing/talking about. She always seemed bothered to see me? But I kept a smile on and good attitude because you never know what someone is going through but every appointment you grow to get tired of that. Now that I'm 34 weeks pregnant I haven't seen or heard from my ob in a month now. They kept rescheduling me saying every appointment they would reschedule me I wasn't for sure going to see her because they don't think shes going to be there? After the third time they called last they called me saying they will call me when they can get me and appointment to see my ob they never called me back neglecting me. So I switched doctors and Im trying to get my medical information faxed over asap. I let them know Im at the end and I need them faxed over asap they said okay I signed a form and gave them all my new doctors info and fax number, its been two weeks now I called today they are barely going to work on it they told me the lady I talk to said I needed them and she didn't put any note that I needed them faster or even didn't put that I needed them to be faxed over to my new doctor. They told me they will have them ready for me to pick up my medical records by next week to take them myself to my doctors. I was furious! I am now waiting for a call with the head supervisors of wesly to file a complaint on this office. The worst medical services I've ever received. The doctor or nurse practitioner I should say doesn't care about whats wrong, seems to "know it all" attitude, makes you feel dumb. Obviously I'm not a doctor but I shouldn't feel like I'm being scolded when I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with me. Everything has to be done through a "costumer service" number with RUDE, UNINSTRUCTED PEOPLE WHO KNOW LITTLE TO NOTHING about the services they supposedly provide. Today 8-11-18 I called for the most simple thing, the address to the X-ray clinic in Downey. It was supposed to be fast since it was an approved urgent referral. I spoke to Alexis/Alexa whatever her name is. She laughed and hanged up on me twice. I called a 3rd time, and she transferred me from one place to another. I asked to speak to an on call doctor and she laughed again saying I'll see if he wants to talk to you, she comes back with "he doesn't want to" at this point I'm so upset and feel like crying. (My daughter 14 is in the car with me frustrated with a swollen & bruised foot still waiting for a simple address) I hanged up and called again hoping someone else could help me. Cinthia a nice but completely lost girl had no idea what to do so she transferred me to Janet extremely rude girl yelling at me, gives me a wrong address. I call back and asked to speak to a supervisor so Susan (the supervisor) tells me there's nothing she can do that she doesn't know the address either OMG and this is the supervisor!!! I almost lost hope there but I needed to get it done so my mommy instincts kicked in and kept asking for an on call doctor. He finally answers Dr. Le and with a very broken English that I can barely understand tells me that he can't do nothing for my daughter but to call 3way to Norwalk Wesley clinic and see if they can help me. So a girl (idk her name) has a hard time as well helping with the simple address ugh!! Another girl comes to her rescue and in less than 3 minuets gives me all the info 6 ppl couldn't give me in more than 3hrs. My family and I have been coming to this clinic for a little over a year, the location in Norwalk is a lot closer to us-- However, the staff here at Downey are amazing. My children are 5 and 12 years old and usually have a hard time with doctor offices, NOT HERE. They look forward to coming here and are excited about their check ups. I want to recognize Brenda Sanchez and Dr. Bhakta. These 2 have made ALL the difference in the way my children perceive doctor visits. My kids recently began coming to this doctor and it has been THE WORST! They don't know what they're doing! The doctor saw my kids whom have a skin infection and did not know what to prescribe them, she asked them what they were currently using to treat it, and proceeded to prescribe them the same exact thing they are already using. We rescheduled since the infection has not gotten any better and they refused to see them, since my daughter took them to their appointment they requested I send them an email authorizing my daughter to take them in although it is urgent for my kids to be seen. I got referred here from PIH Hospital Downey after two trips to the ER and two hospital stays related to enteral feeding tube problems. The ER staff kept asking me why I don't have a primary care physician. Well, the answer is how they treat anyone with a hearing loss, which is like garbage! As soon as I presented my CVS card the receptionist started giving me a hard time about how it was not an insurance card. Hey, news flash: CVS is in the insurance business now, and has been for several years! Then after I filled out the paperwork for a first visit, the receptionist started telling me a lot of stuff I CAN'T UNDERSTAND BECAUSE I'm 95% DEAF for God's sake! I just told her: "You win! I give up!" and left. You keep wondering why people would rather die than deal with lousy American health care? It's because you make it a bureaucratic nightmare and it's even worse for anyone who can't hear very well! The Americans With Disabilities Act has been on the books for decades, but you totally ignore it! Look, I know it's all about money, and PIH is doing its best to drive away anyone with a pre-existing condition. So, congratulations, you probably saved your shareholders a few bucks today. read more
