What an exceptional experience!! Needed a hoyer lift for my mom. Met Ray who took me under his wing…read moreand pointed me to the right machine and assured me that the machines are tested and repaired if needed. He took his time and helped me...and then helped the next person, and the next...And they deliver! It was the best delivery experience I have had in years. They called the morning of the scheduled day to give me a 1 hr window and showed up on time! And the two delivery guys were great. Showed me how to use the apparatus, etc. I will be going back there for all of my medical equip needs. They have everything, including great service and compassion. Angels on earth!!!

I tried to donate a hospital bed to this place and the experience was terrible. I called…read moreGoodwill medical to say I had a hospital bed to donate and I was told (by a guy, I didn't get his name) that I should wait about 10 days to two weeks for a call back from Goodwill, at which time a pick up would be scheduled. I was asked no questions about any of the features of the hospital bed. After two weeks had passed, I called back, and I was asked by the guy who answered to give scheduling a couple more days. Again, I was asked nothing about the features of the hospital bed. About a week later, a young lady from Goodwill medical called and asked if I was still interested in making the donation. I said yes, but explained that I would not be there on the day of the pick up. She asked me if I could get it outside for the date of pick up and I said I could. And I did. She did not ask me anything about the features of the hospital bed. Upon arrival to the house, the driver (Rick) determined that the bed was not a "hospital bed" and did not pick the bed it. When I spoke to him, he said it is not a hospital bed because it does not raise and lower, and does not have wheels. He then said well, it is at least not the kind of a hospital bed that Goodwill sells. Rick went on to say that there are 7 people who work in the office and none of them do their jobs. He said that this kind of thing "happens all the time." When I spoke to the operations manager, Ray, I asked him why I was not told at any point before pick up what features were needed to make this donation. He said that Goodwill assumes people know what a hospital bed is. He then asked me to send him pictures of the hospital bed because maybe he could "help me out." And even after sending these pictures, he declined to take this donation. After reviewing the website, I see that Goodwill medical does not take any hospital bed mattresses, and accepts only single sized hospital beds WITH RAILS. The website says nothing about raising and lowering or wheels -- but I guess the general public knows that all hospital beds raise and lower and have wheels. Never again.

Dealt with Nathaniel Brand. Was referred to this place by state coordinator/program for wheelchair…read moreramps to build for wheelchair bound brother. No one came out to take measurements or assess. We emailed measurements ourself with images. We wanted a ramp setup where the front porch steps would still be accessible. After Nathaniel settled on a wheelchair build that WILL permit use of the front porch steps and would NOT block the porch steps, and few weeks later said it could not be done and settled on 2 portable ramps placed in front of each other to create one long ramp. I expressed my concern about my brother being able to use the porch and he insisted with a smart attitude and being a wise guy that the porch will still be able to be utilized. Come the day of delivery, two 7 foot portables ramps were delivered that will NOT allow access for my brother onto the porch. Another company came out and took pictures, created a blueprint, and gave us schematic on a modular ramp that will be perfect for us although Nathaniel said this could not be done. How would he know if no one came out to take measurements..... Heed my warning and run far away from this place. I've never met a person more dishonest and wise guy. In this case he took the states money and left us with a subpar ramp system that is not gong to be permanent. Will have to go out of pocket for another company to come out and build a proper permanent setup.

Dealing with Brian in "customer service" and constant phone calls where Brian never calls back and feeling ignored I was ready to give up. I made several in person visits to try to work out the simple replacement. I was finally told my parts were in. I went there to find the cheapest junk tires from China and a number of excuses. First it was "your insurance company didn't authorize wheels just tires". A lie. "The company doesn't do black tires on those rims" another lie. "We don't order them like that". "We are not going to order them simply because you want them". Then the truth "we don't make enough money to order the tires on the rims". So in conclusion the patient doesn't matter, the money does. I never felt like I didn't matter until I delt with these people. Took front tires that will work but not the ones I asked for and the cheap Chinese knock offs not primo tires the chair came with just so I could have tire to replace the ones that are so smooth they are no longer safe. No other DME I have delt with in nearly 30 years had ever had trouble getting the tires and rims that are correct for any wheelchair I have ever had since 1999. Now I understand that this company is only concerned with what they can make off the patient not fulfilling in good faith the patients needs. I can only offer this advice, do not waist your time or sacrifice your dignity with these people. Just find another company to deal with.
