I had never heard of a magniflex bed. I've been sleeping on a Tempur-pedic for 13 years. I laid on their machine that measures pressure points and they recommended this bed to me and I've only slept on it one night but I feel 10 years younger today. It was phenomenal. No smell and very cool. Delivery was on time and quick. They even took away the old mattress. I also purchased pillows that relieve a lot of pressure from my shoulder. So far so good. read more

We primarily deal with Nathan, Jared, and Josh and all have been helpful, informative, and fair. The furniture costs a bit more than what you will pay elsewhere, but the quality and design also far exceeds what you will find elsewhere! Much of it is sourced and made right here on the West Coast. I grew up in Fla and remember as a kid going to our local Ethan Allen furniture store and having so much fun playing in that store. My parents both worked and invested in their home which meant investing in high quality furnishings (payments over time) which would or could last a lifetime. My fiance and I have never invested in new high quality furniture before but we started recently with replacing our futon couch w/ something from Riley's. Our first attempt at couch shopping landed us at Riley's on a Sunday at 5:05 p.m. a few weeks ago. We peeked through the windows to glance at the furniture. A man (Josh) opened the front door and invited us in to come inside and have a look around (after closing time). We were so impressed right there. After letting us browse & being conscious of the time, we zeroed in on a couple of nice couches (they are all nice) we were interested in. Josh suggested if we could wait a couple weeks that those couches would be on sale starting March 1st. What a nice suggestion! We came back on the last day of the sale (March 11th) and Hawk was helping us, we looked at other couches to consider prices/deals and then back to the first two couches we initially fell in love w/ and Hawk gave us all the fabric options and after an hour of indecision of which fabric and making some adjustments to the size of the couch we looked at a couple of the floor model couches for sale and ended up buying one of two that caught our attention. Hawk was super patient and a true professional. We bought our new couch and the deliver guys came a couple days later and we are LOVING our beautiful North Carolina hand-made couch! Today was the second time I have been disappointed with the sales people in Riley's. I purchased a coffee table from them a few months back and during the entire process, the salesman was extremely rude and arrogant. In addition to the rudeness, I had to pay for the table just to get them to order it - what business does that? Anyway, fast forward to today...we decided we needed a couple of 'occasional' end tables - and with the limited choices in Eugene for real wood furniture - we thought we would give Riley's a second chance. Unfortunately it was the first experience times two - the salesman jumped on us as soon as we walked in the door. And just like the previous experience, he followed us around the small showroom that they have, showering us with all of his knowledge and experience. Again, arrogance and rudeness rule at Riley's. We almost purchased the tables anyway, and at the last minute, we just walked out the door. Frustrated, I decided to do an internet search, and found places all over the west coast that will ship the exact same furniture to me. We purchased the two tables from a store in California, and AFTER shipping costs, they were $100 cheaper EACH, than Riley's 'sales' price - from the exact same furniture manufacturer. Needless to say, no more Riley's for us...we'll take our business elsewhere. read more

Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about...this place is fantastic!! Always a friendly hello when you walk in the door and they give you a chance to take a look at things rather than barging over and getting in your personal space trying to make the sale. Don't get me wrong - when you have questions (and really who doesn't...I barely know an end table from an armoire) they are honestly more knowledgeable than I knew was possible. Super helpful with fabric samples and knowing product lines for multiple vendors and I'm pretty sure they can do custom work if you need it. Also (and this is fully off topic) I love the time and temp sign outside! I know I could probably just look at the car thermometer but it's nice when it's verified for you =) Bottom line - if you need real furniture for grown ups that's not piece of crap Walmart variety, this is your place. Well priced, well made stuff that is delivered to your door. I wish I had a bigger house (and duh, more money) to buy more stuff! read more

Ordered thousands of dollars worth of furniture. They had many excuses as to why they could not deliver our order in a timely manner. Months later they delivered flawed furniture. It took another 4 months for them to tell us they could replace the furniture on their schedule. Very unprofessional! read more

I usually reserve my reviews for restaurants, but wanted to put in my two-cents worth about Riley's. They are locally owned and they have some beautiful furniture--and it is not just oak, (which I find rather heavy and clunky). They have beds and tables made of cherry and various other woods, along with unique accents throughout the store. They do custom work as well and the employees are happy to answer questions. They don't hover and if they work on commission, I am not aware of it because they are not pushy and nervous (like SOME furniture places I know)! I never went in before because I thought it was just oak furniture. Now I realize they are a gem. Check them out! read more

It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find another store with the selection and quality of Rileys! I love the table and chairs we bought there. They are custom made by the Amish in Ohio and it took 3 months to make, and worth every day we waited. It's so refreshing to find a sales staff that is genuinely nice and actually knows what they're talking about. Really Disappointed with Rileys this time around. I purchased a few pieces from them about ten years ago for my kitchen, decided to head back and buy some dressers for the bedroom, sad I did. The prices really are not much better than other places, but, I thought I was getting a higher quality product for the price. I ordered the furniture in mid January, paid for the entire order (you can either pay 50% or 100%) and was told that my order would be delivered in about six weeks. I received my order about nine weeks later and I am really disappointed in the quality, the dresser is poorly made and wobbles. I paid over $2k for my furniture and I did not get the quality I thought I would. In my opinion, you should only buy sale items from Rileys and pay 50% down, they may deliver faster, so they can get the final payment. Also, when I called to check on my order, the customer service was really bad, the person on the other end, he was really rude. So, if you want mediocre furniture, that is a little too expensive and you want some attitude, check them out. Oh, yeah, and they do not tell you this when you order, they only deliver on Mondays and Fridays. On the bright side, the delivery guys are super nice and professional. read more

Every time I make the trek to Eugene, I make a point of stopping by Riley's. A family run store with friendly service and a wide selection of reasonably priced, beautiful furniture, the employees are always inviting and make you feel welcomed and comfortable. While the service is attentive, the employees give you free reign to wander around scoping out all the great pieces. On my most recent visit, I was helped by a charming gentleman, I believe his name was Josh. Very knowledgeable on all aspects of furniture and very friendly. I just bought 3 4'x7' oak bookcases from Riley's (adding to the previous 9 bookcases we already had). It was easy to stop in and purchase, they were finished early, and even delivery was early (they called to confirm). I have bought from Riley"s three times , the first time I bought a chair ,it was only 400.00 . I was helped by Josh , I got the impression he had more important things to do than give me his full attention;none the less I purchased the chair .The second time was a bed , it was a phone order , everything went well .The third time I had seen a couch they had on line so I called about it , the gentleman on the phone told me it was the floor model, I asked if I could purchase another one at that price; he curtly replied of course not! incensed at his reply forgot about it . Shortly thereafter my husband and I were driving by and saw that they were having a sale , since they never have a sale & I wanted to see if the couch was still there so we stopped. The couch was still there , I loved it & told Josh I wanted it, we picked a coffee table & end tables to go with. My husband was looking at a recliner he was undecided, so I told Josh that we were going to run an errand to Lowe's,& go ahead & write up the couch & tables , we will have an answer about the chair when we come back.I asked please don't let anyone sit on the couch while we are gone , he said he would. We returned to find two men sitting on it considering buying it! I turned to Josh for an answer , with that big fair haired boy smile he announces well you didn't pay for it! I went ahead & paid , at that time we made arrangements for the furniture to be held in their warehouse for a month or two as our house was not ready yet ,Josh replied of course no problem take as long as you like , he assured me the couch would be taken off the floor & no one else would sit on it. I returned a month and a half later , as I entered the store there was our couch just where it was a month & a half earlier right by the desk where everyone & their kids can sit on it while they're signing contracts! Josh came out stammering that we didn't call first , he forgot & that he hardly thinks that no one would sit on it pointing to the small sold sign down on the leg. His ego didn't let him be humble for long however, he had to get in my face to tell me we had to go to the warehouse for the end tables as they were not the ones in the showroom like the coffee table . Well of course the end tables don't match the coffee tables, as the coffee tables were not sun bleached like the showroom ones & to add insult to the injury the coffee table has oil lines seeping out of the wood , I'm sure Josh knew about when he sold it to me. My advice is if you like their furniture ck. it out & find it elsewhere where they appreciate your business. I will never step foot in Riley's Furniture again. I would have been better off at Salvation Army. read more
