If you're into canoeing, fishing, boating, etc.. Baptiste Lake is perfect. Also, Algonquin Park is only an hours drive away and you can experience all that is has to offer! The renovated cottages have been fixed up great, and provide a rustic feel. Comfortable beds, and screened in breezeways to keep you away from the bugs but still feel like the outdoors! On a scale of 1-10, you truly are a 25!…read more I've just returned from my 7th year in a row, week-long stay at Arowhon Pines, where perfection is the watchword, where attention to detail is evident at all levels, from the continuous renovations that blend into the environment so well you'd think they'd always been that way, to the lovingly prepared food always with a new twist every year, to the friendly and helpful housekeeping staff, to the hardworking kitchen and dining room staff; to the groundskeepers and maintenance men, whose invisible presence is felt in all the beauty, cleanliness and perfection around the property. Nothing is too much trouble for the approachable yet unobtrusive staff. I ate well, slept well, played well and worked well. Heaven couldn't possibly be more beautiful or more perfect. (Late to review) I…read morewent here with 4 of my friends for a friend's birthday at dinner time. My friend graciously paid for everyone (yay!!) and it was $75pp for an all you eat meal. It was delicious and scrumptious. The appetizers and desserts are the highlight for sure - there's sushi, chicken wings, sandwiches, a variety of dips and veggies, soup etc etc. For the entree, you can eat two entrees, so I got the steak and fish. The steak was great but the fish could use more seasoning. The desserts were so great - full selection from mousse to date squares. After the meal, you can sit outside in the balcony and it's truly beautiful. Algonquin Park at its finest. It was definitely one of the best meals I've had this year. We sat for too long and they shut off the lights at around 9:30pm for the main lodge and that was our cue to leave. :)

The view from our deck was just amazing beautiful lake ~ we just loved it. The mobile home/cabin was really nice/clean/new and equipped with absolutely everything we needed to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The pool was also a hit with the kids - they loved fishing off the docks as well. The park itself is really clean and maintained very nicely by the family who owns the park. I would definitely recommend this to any family who would like to get away to the lake this summer- its a wonderful destination that we truly enjoyed and will go to again!

Dave Koch, owner of this company has NO consideration for the cottage renters. He has no…read moreinformation on what supplies the cottage owners provide and will not ask them or provide a phone number for owners. Each year I bring about 15-20 things that i needn't have packed, as if there isn't enought to pack when going to a cottage. Last year I nearly packed up my whole house and needed none of what I brought except clothes. The owners provided everything a guest could need - very gracious- His directions to that cottage added an extra 30 minutes on to the trip which weren't necessary. His unprofessionalism is epic. If he doesn't want to deal with your questions, he just ignores you, regardless of how many times you contact him. This, needless to say, will be our last time using his rental company. His latest money grab is $175.00 for a week of insurance which only covers $2500 worth of damage. lol really? Add to that another $100 processing fee. It costs a lot of money to go to a cottage for a week and I sincerely think the experience of the renter should be considered, not just the pocketbook of Dave Koch and his cottage owners. Now brace yourself for his reply. He will say he has no record of us renting from him. Standard reply to a bad review. There were 9 of us who can verify we were there. Dave Koch provides a shameful lack of consideration for the people (renters) he needs to run his business. Disgusted

Booked a winter weekend family getaway, hoping to enjoy some snowshoeing, hiking and the frozen…read morelake for some skating, but there was no common lake access or signage to show where to go and felt if I did venture between the lakefront cottages, that I would be intruding on others privacy. The cottage decor was nicely updated with new finishes with basic (and I mean BASIC) amenities however this could not make up for the beds being as stiff as sleeping on plywood and the lack of having a warm blanket. Not providing more than one roll of toilet paper, dishcloth, dish towel, very little dish soap, hooks for towels to hang up, a wobbly coat rack, a broken outdoor first step, or even a snow shovel left a sour taste in our mouths. We will not be returning, wi there or summer.

Lake is few steps away from actual house and I did not expect a lot for a 3 bedroom place for 6 people at 120$ per night. There were not to many youngsters so it wasn't load only last day some teenagers came with no girls and started to make some noises. Fishing is great but be aware it mostly shallow and you can damage your boat. If you expect some visitors please be ready to see an owner asking you to pay extra $$$. So to finish with I won't go there again only because of sneaky owner and some mechanics who tried to get some extra cash for broke a** engine which is probably older than I am.
